And the children shall lead them...special needs teens being voted Homecoming King and Queen....

Mommy Life  proudly announces her son  Jonny who has DS was voted Homecoming King at his VA school. At this same school in 2005, a young lady with DS was voted Homecoming queen. She points out that this was an actual student vote and not engineered by the school.

 This is not an isolated case as Lawrence KS students had to petition to change the current policy against special needs kids being on Homecoming Court at their school  and this cleared the way for a young man with DS to be declared the winner.

It is good to showcase this especially when 90% of the pre born  babies diagnosed with Downs Syndrome are destroyed through abortion. It is heartwarming to see that the young students have such a heart!
