Tom and Wendy Curry of Memphis have two sons; Stephen, 21, and Shawn, 15. Although they had been trying for another child for quite some time, they probably could not have imagined what God had planned for them and how He would bring another child into their life.
As avid fans of internet game web sites and chat rooms, they encountered a cyber-friend, from Missouri, one evening who was showing signs of depression. Upon further inquiry, they learned that the friend was pregnant and in a quandary as to how to proceed, or if she would even proceed with having the child.
Wendy and Tom immediately told the young lady that they would take and raise the child. Eventually, the lady came to meet them here locally and agreed that the Curry's could adopt her child. She moved in with Wendy and Tom for the duration of her pregnancy.
The birth mother plans to be a part of Shaylan’s life and has come from Missouri to visit her several times.
