Planned Parenthood Teen Clinic Day: No Parental Permission Needed

Right here in TN we see PP of Greater Memphis reaching out to teens...

Planned Parenthood (PP) is, at this moment, leading teens in the Memphis area in talks about sex education. PP Greater Memphis Region is hosting a Teen Clinic today in honor of National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month, describing it as a “special day of activities, learning opportunities and Q&A for teenagers.” The children, ages 13-18, will be told about puberty, pregnancy, contraception, and STD prevention. What they aren’t talking about is depression prevention, divorce prevention, and delinquency prevention – all results of early sexual activity. And their parents may not even know they are at PP.
No Parents Required
While teens are invited to bring their parents to the Teen Clinic, parents are not required, and neither is their permission. PP thinks that misled parents should feel reassured by their claim that PP educators advise children to “involve their parents in decisions about sexual behavior.” How noble of them to hand condoms to 13-year-olds and tell them that they maybe might want to inform their parents of their decision to have sex, but they certainly don’t have to because it is their decision, after all. PP is completely ignoring the numerous studies that have made it common knowledge that teenage brains are not developed enough to allow them to seriously consider the potential consequences of their actions. As a result, teens are more likely to act on impulse; misread social cues; and engage in risky, inappropriate behaviors. PP just gives kids the thumbs-up; hands them some free, not 100% effective birth control; and sends them on their way, without many parents ever knowing any of what took place.
Using Teens to Make Cash
The people at PP of Memphis say that their trusty educators who, believe “that all teens need accurate, non-judgmental information in order to understand their own bodies and make responsible decisions[,]” will be on hand to help teens make the right decisions about sex. But how can a stranger help a 13-year-old girl make a serious decision about her life when that stranger knows nothing about the girl and her life? The educators don’t know if any of the children who walk in the door are being abused by an adult, are being pressured by their boyfriend or girlfriend, or are being pimped out in a sex ring. But even if they did know, they wouldn’t care. The main objective of PP is to get teens to have sex because teens who have sex will turn to PP for everything from birth control to STD testing to abortion. And that is money in PP’s pocket.

Huff Post: PP scared they are the target of undercover videos on something they admit happens.....

Wow, Live Action really has them scared. It is amazing how a youth led grassroots organization can get them shaking in their boots even before anything is released. Huffington Post runs an article on behalf of their friends at Planned Parenthood. They are fearful that they have been the target of sting operations on women seeking sex selection  abortions.  They are doing a preemptive strike against Live Action making all sorts of claims that are not substantiated or outright lies.  But why are they doing that? So what if sting operations uncover that sex selections are being done routinely at Planned Parenthood. Here they are admitting it.....

" While Planned Parenthood condemns seeking abortions on the basis of the gender of the fetus, Cooney said the provider is also "committed to providing high-quality, confidential, nonjudgmental care to all who come into our health centers." While Planned Parenthood staffers are extensively trained to answer unusual and difficult questions and to refer women to necessary counseling, none of its clinics will deny a woman an abortion based on her reasons for wanting one, except in those states that explicitly prohibit sex-selection abortion (Arizona, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Illinois).

So did they not just state that they will abort for any reason or no reason except where prohibited by law and I am sure they will find a way to have some "judicial bypass" around that as well. And if it rarely happens why did four states just outlaw it? So why would they fear undercover videos that show what they just admitted to.  Did they not just acknowledge ...if you have the $$, they will abort. Why waste their time attacking Live Action for uncovering this? Their spin machine is working overtime.

Chinese change slogans but not policies on one child only....

Live Action spotted this story ... China is attempting to change their slogans  regarding their one child  mandate  but not their policies.  They freely admit this is all propaganda. 

Their harsh one child policy is still in place but they want to have kinder, gentler ways of expressing it.

Instead of ..." “Kill all your family if you don’t follow the rule” and, “If you escape (sterilisation), we’ll hunt you down; if you want to hang yourself, we’ll give you the rope”. 

The research said milder expressions should be used to “avoid offending the public and stoking social tensions”.  Does this remind you of an organization that parse their words to make killing babies sound kinder, gentler....Planned Parenthood???


The Chinese  are  also sensitive to the  unintended consequences of gender imbalance so they also have a benign suggestion of .... "Caring for the girl means caring for the future of the nation.”

Gallows humor or sign of the times??

Live Action  tells of a recent phenomenon called Texts from Last Night.  You can sort by zip code or keyword and of course it brings out the gallows type humor of abortion.

Feministing: Minors must have full access to abortions...decries parental involvement and judicial bypass....

Feministing has many complaints today. Among those complaints is that minors MUST have full access to abortions and the idea that having any parental involvement with this life altering decision may result in slowing down  an abortion decision is  abhorrent. The only one that should have access to the minor is the $$ abortion industry.
Their second complaint is the  judicial bypass for those bad states requiring parental notification. This is intended to be  an end run around the parent issue. Some judges may give information to the minor so that she is aware of all her options. SHRIEK!!   And guess what else might happen is that the judge might actually use his/her discretion and say NO to the minor! She  must actually consult her parents.

"In my home state of Ohio, a minor must obtain a court order from a judge, stating that she has enough information and is mature enough to make her own decision regarding abortion, or that the abortion is in her best interest."

What a novel idea! Beware judge shopping may be needed here!

The women in the story had to travel to another city to meet with a judge about her judicial bypass, because the judge in her home town was known to be anti-choice. Also while trying to obtain her judicial bypass, she was given a manila envelope full of anti-choice literature, including misleading information about abortion and pregnancy. She was lucky to have a compassionate judge to meet with, and access to money and a car to drive out of town to meet with her."

Hmmm I wonder if the person driving this minor is the perpetrator of statutory rape who need his identity and age to remain unreported.  PP has shown a willingness to help in that category. Check out Live Action.org to watch all the videos.

Lila Rose and her team of citizens armed with a telephone and yellow page listings  continue to embarrass Planned Parenthood and the abortion supporting administration.  Aided  by the complicit MSM they  spread the lie that taking $$ from the abortion giant will take away care for medicaid eligible  women. TN: Shelby Co Health Dir. will take Title X $$ mo. to mo. but not rule out using PP

 The Commercial Appeal writes that Shelby County Dept. of Health Director, Yvonne Madlock has  told her boss that she will accept the Title X funds ($1.345 MM )like the other 94 counties in TN but on a month to month basis. She continues to insist that she will not rule out subcontracting the work out to other vendors INCLUDING Planned Parenthood.  Obviously she is willing  to go to the mat for PP and I have to wonder why??? One of the commenters who is a nurse points out....

It amazes me that Memphians really believe that Planned Parenthood is the only agency that can provide "non-abortion family planning and health services" to patients who do not have insurance. There are many other agencies who perform the same services without providing abortions. All people should have access to these vital cancer screenings and they do through other non-profit agencies in our city. Be honest with yourselves Title X money going to Planned Parenthood through the Health Department is doing one thing- allowing an abortion industry to thrive. Over 8,500 abortions were performed in Shelby County last year and it is because our government dollars are continuing to support agencies like Planned Parenthood. They are many other deserving agencies in our community who provide family planning and health screenings without providing abortions.

Also, I have to wonder about the accuracy of the number of family planning visits PP throws out there in an attempt to save the tax $$ from flowing in.....I recall how Abby Johnson stated  that as a PP Dir. they manipulated stats to their favor such as counting 12 mos. supply of bc pills as 12 visits . When PP is caught in over billing charges to Medicaid...this other information spills out. 

For instance, an article in the Tennessean, a PP supporting newspaper, recently printed an article about a lawyer who is  currently in litigation with PP of LA for over billing the govt. for $180 MM for bc pills and other meds.

Their client in the case is Victor Gonzales, a former vice president for finance for Planned Parenthood.
“He knows where the skeletons are,” Crain said.

And let us not forget  the Memphis PP that made the news and distinguished  themselves....

Live Action  has a wonderful contest up with over 100 entries for a pro life ad. Wow, go and look and vote on your favorites. Pretty good stuff out there...very catchy and thought provoking.

Memphis PP CEO bemoans the possible loss of TN tax $$....ignores the A word and forgets the recent sting video from Live Action...

Memphis Flyer posts an op ed by Barry Chase CEO of Memphis PP... who is so concerned that Title X money in Memphis may go to the public health departments and end his cozy deal for all these years. Last year the General Assembly ended the preferential treatment of PP  saying they cannot automatically get a cool 1 MM of TN tax dollars into their coffers. They have to compete for the money along with other venues such a county health departments. Of course in two metropolitan areas, Nashville and Memphis, their alliance with PP has caused them to bow out of the business but that may change. 

Of course his op ed never mentions that A word and of course does not refer to the embarrasing undercover sting opereation showing a staffer in his venable PP clinic covering up sex abuse of a minor and advising a girl posing as underage how to circumvent the parental notification law and cover up for her "cash up front"  much older man who impregnanted her. This is a violation of the law to report sex abuse of minors. So this worthy  organization can certainly be trusted to keep immaculate records nd make sure the  invisible firewall between tax money and abortion money is kept separate. They hire and pay the staff  with benefits and rent etc  with fungible money. The same  hand  that hands out  birth control pills is the same hand that assists and/or performs abortions and mammograms. Wait... sorry wrong....PP does not do mammograms, do they? Someone needs to tell the president of PP to stop saying that. How embarrassing when the national President of PP goes on national TV to state this "misinformation."

It was only last week that Live Action exposed embattled Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards’ false claim that the organization provides mammograms for women. Now this week, Tait Sye, a  spokesman for Planned Parenthood, made this outrageously wild assertion to Community Television of Southern California:

“If we are defunded, America’s emergency rooms will be overrun.”

OK, I’ll bite. Why exactly will emergency rooms be overrun?
Planned Parenthood doesn’t provide emergency room services. And who goes to an emergency room to get an abortion, STD test, birth control, or Pap smear? This wouldn’t be another false claim by Planned Parenthood, would it?
If people did go elsewhere it would likely be to the approximately 7,000 federally funded health centers in the United States that provide more comprehensive care than Planned Parenthood offers.
Let’s examine the Pence Amendment, the bill that would defund Planned Parenthood. As Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., wrote on National Review Online, “Despite efforts to suggest otherwise, the Pence Amendment does not reduce funding for cancer screenings or eliminate one dime of funding for other important health services to women; the money that does not go to Planned Parenthood as a result of the Pence Amendment will go to other organizations that provide these services. If the Pence Amendment becomes law, thousands of women’s health centers, clinics, and hospitals will still provide assistance to low-income families and women. The Pence Amendment would simply deny any and all federal funding to Planned Parenthood.”
And Planned Parenthood will do and say nearly anything to keep those tax dollars coming. I wonder what they’ll think up next week?

In the tapes, a Live Action actor calls 30 Planned Parenthood clinics in 27 different states, inquiring about mammograms at Planned Parenthood. Every Planned Parenthood, without exception, tells her she will have to go elsewhere for a mammogram, and many clinics admit that no Planned Parenthood clinics provide this breast cancer screening procedure. "We don’t provide those services whatsoever,” admits a staffer at Planned Parenthood of Arizona. Planned Parenthood’s Comprehensive Health Center clinic in Overland Park, KS explains to the caller, “We actually don’t have a, um, mammogram machine, at our clinics.”

Opponents of defunding Planned Parenthood have argued in Congress and elsewhere that the organization provides many vital health care services other than abortion, such as mammograms. Most prominently, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards recently appeared on The Joy Behar Show to oppose the Pence Amendment to end Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer subsidies, claiming, “If this bill ever becomes law, millions of women in this country are gonna lose their healthcare access--not to abortion services--to basic family planning, you know, mammograms.”

The calls were recorded by Live Action, the youth-led pro-life group responsible for recent undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood staff, from management on down, willing to aid and abet the sex trafficking of young girls at 7 clinics in 4 different states , They can be viewed here.  . Live Action president Lila Rose says the new recordings further confirm Planned Parenthood’s corruption: “Planned Parenthood is first and foremost an abortion business, but Planned Parenthood and its allies will say almost anything to try and cover up that fact and preserve its taxpayer funding. Former Planned Parenthood Director Abby Johnson notes that the recordings demonstrate Planned Parenthood is not a comprehensive health care provider. “For so long PP has touted that they are a provider of mammogram services.  This is just one of the lies that PP uses to draw people into their clinics.  PP is not able to provide quality services on their own, so they are forced to lie to the public about services they don't provide--and mammograms are just one of those services."

Both Rose and Johnson call on Congress to revoke all taxpayer subsidies from Planned Parenthood. In the last reported year, Planned Parenthood received $363 million in government money.

Tolerance over protection: Live Action documents actual cases ....

Abby Johnson is absolutely right! Planned Parenthood has gotten so used to covering up rape  that they value tolerance over protection. They are so blinded by their extreme ideology that they totally ignore the victim and even brag about this indifference on their website. How else do you explain posting a letter from a girl telling how at the age of 11 she was raped and PP helped her cover it up from her own parents ? I used to work for Protective Services and this by law requires a referral to police and CPS workers and yes the parents need to know.

The announcement that the abortion industry feared would happen.... how can they discredit someone who they named employee of the year??  She went to Washington DC and sat at the same table as Hillary Clinton for goodness sake!!!

VA PP: advising of free testing and treatment at health dept. even though PP collects $MM in Title X money to do it.

Listen carefully to the so called "professional" staffer in the undercover video in Roanoke, VA. Starting at 8:53 she informs him that he can get STD testing and treatment  free at the health dept. She points out that if they test and he is positive they are supposed to report it to the health dept. who contacts you to discuss who your partners were etc. so  why not go there and get free testing and treatment. 

Then she goes on to tell him that another source of free testing is donation of blood. They test to screen for STD routinely so that is another free source. Per Live Action who called several blood donation centers to inquire about this advice, they were told that if you test positive they simply tell you that you were ineligible for blood donation without giving you specifics as to why and understandably are not happy with being used in this manner.

But here is my real rub with this.....I finished the Vigil for Victims today at our local PP in Nashville to defund PP. As I  told the news person covering the event...PP gets $363MM/yr. in our tax dollars. Now they will say that it is to do STD testing and provide BC. But hey, this PP staffer is telling the man that he can get this all free at the local health dept. or free testing when you go to give blood. Which brings up my point. County health depts. should be the ones to get  all the Title X monies since they do free testing and treatment. Notice the PP staffer said we have to charge while you can get it for free there.

 I have been following closely about the latest undercover operations of the brave citizen journalists at Live Action.

You may remember meeting Lila Rose, the 22 yr. old who started this campaign  while still in college at the last Right to Life Banquet. They have been doing these undercover videos exposing the institutionalized corruption in Planned Parenthood in 11 states  (including TN) with little or no attention from the media until now.

Our Congress is now debating a  bill to defund Planned Parenthood that currently receives approximately $363 MM dollars from us the taxpayer. I find  this outrageous especially at a time that our country is so heavily in debt.

Lila Rose has impressed me with  her willingness to take a  stand.

Expose Planned Parenthood   in conjunction with several pro life ministries is asking us to take a tangible stand  to show Congress we mean business about defunding Planned Parenthood.

We simply stand for one hour on the public sidewalk in front of the Planned Parenthood facility . This is legal, peaceful witness.

PP: Yeah and we’ll waive like a $5 or $10 donation with them.
