U of MN and PP shared signage....weathered the storm or in your face defiance ??

University of Minnesota appears to be  stonewalling after being exposed by a Center for Medical Progress video featuring  a manager for Advanced Bioscience Research  casually chatting  about the process of purchasing fetal tissue with an potential buyer according to the  Daily Caller.
"In a recent Center for Medical Progress video, a manager for Advanced Bioscience Resources discusses the process of procuring body parts from abortion clinics, including Minnesota clinics. Advanced Bioscience Resources has a location in St. Paul and is listed in good standing in the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office records."
This caused Students for Life at University of Minnesota to stage a demonstration calling for President Kaler to clarify that the University's  position of fetal tissue research.

Alpha News is following this  issue  closely and reports  that a state legislator  has written a formal request to the University's Board of Regents turning up the heat.
Yesterday afternoon, Rep. Marion O’Neill, (R-Maple Lake), sent a letter to the University’s Board of Regents and asked for some answers regarding fetal tissue research at the state institution.
Pro life activist, Anne Taylor was traveling westbound on Highway 394 out of Minneapolis and noticed a new billboard put up by Planned Parenthood  supporters .

Taylor noted that the signage on the eastbound side of the billboard from the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital has been up for some time.

Taylor notes...."There are no words to describe the sickness pervading such a yin/yang message.  Apparently PP thinks 'they've weathered the storm."

Have they weathered the storm or just placing taunting messages as an in your face defiance ?

TN: Pro life amendment wins at ballot box so abortion supporters file suit in federal court to void results...

Once again, what the abortion industry could not achieve at the ballot box, they seek to achieve using the unelected judiciary.   Planned Parenthood is smarting over the fact that the power of the pulpit and grassroots activism rose to the challenge, despite being outspent nearly 3-1, endorsements of all four major newspapers , and some Hollywood celebrities to pass a pro-life amendment on November 4 th.
Following a clear defeat when Amendment 1 passed 53%-47% in Tennessee, Planned Parenthood board members and supporters filed a lawsuit  in federal court with to have the election results thrown out.   They basically want each vote hand counted, and thrown out if they voted yes on one and skipped voting in the Governor’s race. They further ask that if that is not possible, to have the election results voided and another election held.
Four amendments were on the ballot in November and they all passed. But this is the one that the abortion industry is focused on, as it is clearly driven by passion for unbridled abortion profits and not any constitutional principle.
State officials have called the lawsuit absurd, but note that the plaintiffs have filed a federal lawsuit, hoping for a more liberal audience. Planned Parenthood officials are not officially commenting, denying any connection with the suit, despite the fact that the lead plaintiff starred in one of their commercials that was named as the most dishonest of the season and is their Chair of their Board in Nashville. This is a point most media reports have ignored.  Already, Op Eds are appearing, supporting this suit from news outlets that endorsed them and clearly have egg on their face for their lack of influence.
Yes on 1 have responded to the suit, showing that even if you manage to weed out those who declined to vote in the governor’s race, the amendment still would enjoy nearly 20,000  yes votes, enough to pass.
David Fowler, an attorney and one of the members of the coalition for Yes on 1 suggested that the state Attorney General should seek sanctions against them for this specious lawsuit.
Jeff Teague, CEO of Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee, acknowledged in a post mortem that Tennessee is a pro-life state; however it is clear that they are willing to thwart the will of the people to protect their profits.

Memphis Planned Parenthood loves being edgy: advertising free condoms near elementary school.....future customers

Sure cause we want to start indoctrinating elementary school students young to fool around. No consequences sex is what Planned Parenthood is saying...cause if you get pregnant we can give you an abortion and that is where the real money is. So free condoms....no problem. Your parents tax money is paying for us to give away this freebie. Next round is for the govt. to pay for your abortions. What a business model. Planned Parenthood.....no shame!

Girl Scout cookies...no thanks....mom you should know why we do not buy cookies from your daughter

"Girl Scouts recently promoted late-term abortion advocate and Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis as one of their “incredible women of the year.”
We have seen complaints before about Girl Scouts aligning themselves with Planned Parenthood and such offerings as the Healthy, Happy and Hot sex information brochure.

Previously, Girl Scouts sponsored a panel discussion and event to promote the premier of Makers, a documentary about trailblazers and pioneers who were pro abortion feminist.
"During a panel discussion associated with the screening, Amy Richards, co-founder of the Third Wave Foundation, a pro-abortion, pro-LGBT group, was introduced as a member of the panel. In MAKERS, Richards described how her “first thought” when she learned she was pregnant with triplets was, “Is there any way to get rid of one of them?” Subsequently, she aborted two of them."
I think I am going to print out this page and when approached by a Girl Scout to buy cookies, I will smile and say no thank you and quietly hand this page to the mother with her to educate her and explain why I am not supporting her daughter.

Where is the red line on abortion?

Like most of you, I sat transfixed over the past two weeks watching breaking and ever changing news about the civil war in Syria. We were rightfully horrified by the allegations that  chemical weapons were  used against their own people including 200 children. Would we  use military force that may lead us into another war?  Those arguing for a strike kept emphasizing the 200 children killed!  As I watched I could not escape the hypocrisy that those who were voicing the loudest concern for the Syrian children were the strongest defenders of abortion on demand throughout all nine months of pregnancy in our own country .  in 2012, they also  allocated 542 million of our  tax  dollars to Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider!

Planned Parenthood's  own research arm,  The Guttmacher Institute,  in their latest report  (2008 ) estimates that  1.21 million abortions occur here every year. This includes  both chemical and surgical abortions.  This is over 3,000 per day. Where is the outcry?  Where is the red line?

NY: PP disaffiliated because they won't provide abortion services.....healthcare not enough for PP

If you want to be a part of us you must provide abortions. It's a requirement.  News item out of abortion friendly NY report.

That is the A word that Planned Parenthood tries to downplay saying that they are in existence to provide women's healthcare services. Here in NY, this former Planned Parenthood facility did not provide abortions and would not start doing it. Not because of any objection to abortion per say but that abortions were already provided at several others facilities in the area. But in order to be a part of PP you must provide abortions. So they disaffiliated with PP and now are known as Family Planning of South Central New York. Same location and staff but different name, signs and facebook page.

So the next time you hear PP try to downplay abortion and say that most of their services are healthcare and family planning, ask them why they require all affiliates to do abortion. Because that is where the $$ is.

For the abortion industry in TN less information is better....

Save One Founder and Executive Director, Sheila Harper, is interviewed about her thoughts on the viewing of an ultrasound and her personal experience  with abortion.   She articulates the issue well to this Channel 2 reporter.

However, due  to the disastrous ruling of  our  TN  Supreme Court in 2000, in a law suit brought by ACLU and Planned Parenthood against  the state , commonsense regulations voted into law by our elected bipartisan legislators were thrown out . In order to correct this egregious ruling a constitutional amendment called SJR 127 which states   that our state constitution,  originally written in 1796, did not speak to  issue of abortion. It further states that our elected legislators have the right and duty to enact regulations around abortion which is legal through the US Supreme Court decision of 1973. I know sounds so commonsense as to be ridiculous,  but the strange ruling of 2000 found that TN has a greater right to abortion than was  found in the   US Supreme Court decision known as Roe Vs. Wade. Read the constitution and try to find the word abortion.  All that to say..... in 2014, Tennesseans must pass this amendment  during the Gubernatorial  election so we can enact regulations voted on by our elected legislators such as informed consent, reflection periods etc.

However, Harper and Senator Jim Tracy are discussing a bill that would  then give women important information before they make a decision that is final. Watch the abortion industry object loudly using talking  points like privacy that do not address the fact that they really object to women have medically accurate information including the viewing of their ultrasound  and a time to consider this step before making a life altering decision.  It adds up to lost revenue and abortions are a very lucrative profession.

Objections to informed consent bill acknowledges women know they are pregnant with an "actual human life."

Well  it appears that the abortion friendlies are abandoning their  'it's just a clump of cells' verbiage in this article written in the Nashville Scene  and promoted by Planned Parenthood on Facebook. . They were complaining about a bill filed in the TN state senate  by Senator Jim Tracy (R) Shelbyville.
"When you read SB0632, it becomes obvious that the bill is premised on the idea that if you're having an abortion, it must be because you don't know you're pregnant with an actual human life."
Wow, they are acknowledging that you are pregnant with a human life...not a clump of cells!!!!

This is in response to a bill  offering women presenting for an abortion the opportunity to view the  trans-abdominal ultrasound and receive a printed copy of the ultrasound. It also states that fetal information be explained in understandable lay terms and  to hear the heartbeat. Shriek!!!!!

Of course the abortion industry opposes giving women this information and further insults women by stating that ......"We Americans are a fat people."

Because of this statement,  they suspect more will have to undergo the trans vaginal ultrasound to get this information.    The abortion industry routinely does ultrasounds  to determine the fetal age to  determine the procedure used to kill the developing human life in the womb....and if the abdominal ultrasound is not sufficient...sometimes due to the girth of the mother, trans vaginal ultrasound is used. So what's the beef with providing the women with informed consent???

I guess their  motto  here is less is better. Or could it be that more information means less business for the abortion industry??

Memphis Editorial calls legislators and school administrators "prissy fools" for promoting abstinence

Shelby County TN (Memphis) has  one of the highest teen birth rates in the nation.  Yet the Commercial Appeal writes an editorial calling educators and legislators "prissy fools" for acknowledging their sex ed methods have not worked and agonizing over the new law that went into effect on July 1st.
"According to The Urban Child Institute's data book on children in Shelby County, one in six births in Shelby County is to a mother in her teens."
Planned Parenthood has enjoyed a free reign over the students for years and the results have not been stellar. They start out with the premise that everyone is having sex and move quickly in techniques to satisfy yourself and your partner(s) and circumvent  pregnancy. Except everyone understands that in the heat of the moment the best laid plans...well you know. So pregnancy and STI's are off the chart. Now Planned Parenthood has the answer for the pregnancy part and their revenue stream of abortion on demand is a well oiled machine. Don't want your parents to know...we have a friendly judge with a judicial bypass for you. Don't want to tell the judge the true age of the man who impregnated you.....our counselors can prep you on how to lie about his age. Hey, we were even caught on camera doing that.  But with all those pregnancies some choose not to abort and the end result is borne out in the statistics that are a national crisis. So what is the definition of insanity...doing the same thing and expecting different results.

The shrieking editorial has a fit that parents have more control over the sex ed their minor child is being taught. Shocking....after all it is their child.  The editorial thinks it should be up there with the 3 R's. regardless of what parents think.  Next the new word of the day is nonabstinence is introduced to us.
"The law forbids participation in the classes by groups that promote nonabstinence."
How is that for a new word...... nonabstinence. Is that how the style book at the Commercial Appeal says to say screwing around or the F word???  Actually tried to look it up in the urban dictionary. Nope not there. But the unmitigated nerve of kicking out those who promote sex???

That is the part that angers Planned Parenthood and their friendlies.   Why if Planned Parenthood can't go in and give them cards with their number on it to text for private sex info ..there goes there marketing strategy.

Prissy fools...says the editorial.....wonder if  they had a day long meeting in the editorial board room to come up with that wise statement.

DNC reality show..where abortion on demand and without apology is the star ......

What a week with the reality show at the DNC!!

Did you ever think you would hear God booed on the convention floor  or as one pundit said, they were against God before they were for Him.......and one of the prime time speaking slots were given to a 30 year old grad student whose claim to fame is demanding free birth control pills at tax payers expense while she attends the prestigious law school at Georgetown. You just can't make this stuff up.

Vendors are handing out cleverly wrapped  condoms compliments of Planned Parenthood and your tax $$. And as Jill Stanek wrote abortion is clearly out of the closet and in your face with the abortion palooza during this convention. The plank says abortion on demand regardless of the stage of pregnancy, reason or ability to pay. Wow!! As one liberal tweeter noted the crowd cheered louder for abortion than the killing of UBL!!!  The preborn baby is a bigger threat????

Albert Mohler noted in his column today that the two parties are so far apart on social issues that our vote will reveal something very serious about our worldview.
"The assumptions framing the abortion positions of the two parties include the belief that every human life is sacred and to be protected at every point of development contrasted with the belief that a human life takes on greater worth and right to live as the development continues, but is tentative at least until the moment of live birth. The belief that the baby is itself the most urgent moral unit is contrasted with the belief that the woman and her right to control her own reproductive destiny is paramount. Behind these beliefs stand convictions and assumptions about human dignity, the worth of human life, the responsibility of the society to every human life, the purpose and end of human reproduction, and nothing less than the meaning of both life and death."
Abortion is no longer in the closet shrouded in secrecy and talked about with code words of unfortunate and tragic but necessary at times. Planned Parenthood supporters wear strange pink flowing costumes  resembling  a woman's vagina and hold up signs that say read my lips. Abortion has become a sacrament and the one night stand a rite  of passage.

After the convention, some stations cut away to their talking heads giving a wrap up and did not carry the benediction of Cardinal Dolan. An interesting side note to that as well. The cardinal was invited to give the benediction at the conclusion of the Republican convention and then he  offered to do the same at the Dem convention but they refused....thought that might come across as a mistake...then they agreed. So they said no to the benediction before they said yes. Cardinal Dolan who is currently battling the administration over religious freedom issues invoked the protection of the unborn.
"We ask your benediction on those waiting to be born, that they may be welcomed and protected. Strengthen our sick and our elders waiting to see your holy face at life’s end, that they may be accompanied by true compassion and cherished with the dignity due those who are infirm and fragile."
Mohler says our vote will reveal much about us and our worldview. For me, I will be early voting and in Israel on election day. I will awake  to the news of what worldview we have chosen for the US.

Making it to the other side of the fence....a true story...

Re posting this from April 2011 when someone expressed interest in this story. It made me go back and reread it. Wow, very compelling....and the author was so honest and brave in sharing this story. With all the so called War on Women and Women are Watching...abortion and Planned Parenthood is front and center in this election. Here is a first person account of her experiences with Planned Parenthood, abortion and the aftermath. Thanks Anne for sharing such a personal narrative.

Making it to the Other Side of the Fence: Why I am now pro life and why I support defunding Planned Parenthood
By: Anne Taylor

In my early 20s, four months into a relationship I found out I was pregnant. I was raised with sound values from family and church, yet felt alone thousands of miles away from home while attending college. I felt incredible shame that if family and friends knew of the choices I’d made they’d be let down. This led me on a path of self doubt that I did not know was possible. Fear is what it all comes down to and I have learned that it is distortion that masks itself in many forms more often than not.

Having no doctor at the time, there was a simple solution for this pregnancy:Planned Parenthood. There happened to be one just down the street from campus so I called and booked an appointment with a counselor. Prior to meeting with the counselor, my partner and I began to discuss various scenarios. Adoption sounded good. After all, we barely knew each other.

When we arrived at Planned Parenthood for our appointment, we were quickly sized up. “Adoption would not be a good course of action because more often than not, the girl becomes too attached to the baby by the time she’s given birth.” the counselor advised and continued to remind us we hardly knew one another. My partner then inquired if their clinic performed any ‘termination’ procedures. My partner revealed to me that he once took a friend to have an abortion and she seemed to have no problems with it. “Well, yes!” the counselor responded enthusiastically. “We can certainly do that for you, and in your situation it is probably best for the both of you.” she said with a grin. We went on to ask more questions.

I find it interesting that on Planned Parenthood's home page under ‘pregnancy options’ it reads: “If you are pregnant, you have three options to think about — abortion, adoption, and parenting.” Why is parenting last I wonder. And another thing I notice, in all the Planned Parenthood videos why are all the women who are portrayed as being pregnant appear to be under age 20? Not thinking to ask the counselor any more questions, I look back and remember that we did not receive additional information that would support us in our adoption endeavor. The counselor went on to explain that the fetus doesn’t feel anything during an abortion procedure and not to feel ashamed or worried and stating, “We do this kind of thing all the time.” We estimated that I was approximately 8 weeks along. “You know,” she continued, ”you are getting really far along in the pregnancy and we often don’t do abortions past 8 weeks, but if we were to schedule something today we can take care of this quickly for you and you’ll be so glad you did it.” she said with a smile.

I asked questions about what it would feel like to have an abortion. The counselor went on to explain I would experience slight pain for a short time, similar to a bad menstrual cramp. Medications used? Their choice was a low dose of Valium for the occasion and Ibuprofen. With one swipe of a credit card, about $400 would take care of it. And what if I changed my mind and decided to opt out? I was told by a Planned Parenthood representative that regardless of whether or not I show up for the appointment, the payment is kept in full. The counselor seemed so reassuring than I thought maybe this wouldn’t be a bad option.

The morning of my abortion appointment, we found ourselves among roughly 20-25 people in the waiting area. Upon entering the waiting area I was hit with the reality of the number of pregnancies in the room – including my own. We found a place to sit, while I signed some papers and took a Valium with some water from a tiny white cup. “Look at the kids” I whispered, as I recall a few toddlers in the room, seeming so out of place.

One hour passed. Two hours ... almost three hours and finally, the number of people in the waiting area began to dwindle. Then my name was called. I was prepped as if I was going to have an annual pap smear. The room was barely 10x10 with stark walls and no decor. I took note of another door opposite to the door I’d entered through but it was locked. Perhaps that was the surgery room.

The nurse entered and began to spread a cool, clear gel on my abdomen to prep for the ultrasound. She then flipped on a monitor and began to move the probe across my lower belly. I asked the nurse, “Can you see it?” “See what?” said the nurse rather distant and not looking up. Timidly I asked, “Can I see the picture?” “No, I’m afraid not today.”

Things began to happen quickly and I wondered if something was wrong by the way the nurses were reacting so quickly. Before I knew it, one nurse was standing on each side of me by my head and a third stood at my feet. I was then instructed to place my feet in the stirrups and almost immediately, that mystery door that was locked from inside opened and out comes a man in full surgical attire. Only the man’s squinty eyes could be seen, but just barely.

Suddenly I was startled by the sound of a machine that seemed as loud as a vacuum cleaner, or worse, a muffled chainsaw. A nurse held down one of my arms. “Don’t worry, dear…it’s just the suction and will take but just minute.” encouraged the nurse. I couldn’t think over the sound of the machine coupled with the increasing pain. I began to moan loudly and tried to yell “Stop! No!” but I was too weak. The room didn’t look right, the voices grew distant and I began to sweat and felt cold. “Hey guys, wait!” yelled one of the nurses, “the back of this girls neck is soaking wet!” I couldn’t make out what was going on and had lost my ability to speak. I had a faint memory of a nurse coming by with something terribly strong smelling under my nose. “She’s okay…just help her up and get her into recovery” snapped one of the nurses.

I was assisted and climbed into a wheelchair while writhing in pain -the pain feeling like sharp claws that had just ripped away raw flesh. “What just happened?” is all I could think. I was wheeled to a larger room where I noted rows of bulky lounge chairs – about 10 to 15 of them. More astonishing was the row of women sitting slumped over like you see in a nursing home. Some women were crying, some sleeping, some preparing to leave and one woman seemed to be in some distress as they hovered over her. I began to sob, and sob and sob. “What have I done…what just happened?” is all I could ask myself.

As I adjusted myself in the chair I was given a hot pad to place on my abdomen. I continued crying and was handed a box of tissues. Shortly thereafter, a cheery voice approached me and said, “Here’s a cookie and some juice for you. Now I see here you checked off that you would like to try Depo-Provera as your new method of contraception today. Is that correct?” “Well, yes, I think.” I said to the nurse. The counselor told me Depo would be a good alternative so I don’t have to worry about taking ‘The Pill’ everyday. The nurse nodded as if to agree and informed me she would be administering the Depo as a shot into my thigh. “Another sting for the day”, I thought. I was exhausted and in shock. Unclear in my thinking, I was numb and just wanted to go home and forget everything that had just happened.

The nurse who administered the shot to me just moments ago loomed overhead strictly reminding me to read the instructions on when to get my next Depo-Provera shot. I looked down at my lap to see she had left me a lunch sized brown paper bag. I opened the bag to find a few thick menstrual pads and an array of small, flat colorful packages that I realized were condoms. It felt degrading, humiliating and insulting like a shameful “bad girl.” I wouldn’t be having sex for several weeks anyway following this surgery and condoms were the furthest thing from my mind.

Time passed in the recovery area - how much time I did not know. I was hungry, in pain and just wanted to get home. I tried to hold back the tears. When it was my time to leave, I gingerly stood up and a volunteer assisted me across the room with the goal of going through yet another mysterious doorway. When the door opened, my partner was in the car and firmly instructed not to turn off the engine or get out. Another volunteer came around and opened the passenger side of the door and we headed back to my apartment. I don’t remember the drive other than feeling drained for I’d literally just gotten the life sucked right out of me.

My sobs continued for several days. I felt better, then worse. There were times I screamed, yelled, beat the couch, but nothing could erase what went on behind closed doors that day. Eventually, I stuffed it away and decided to ‘get on with it.’ Just 6 months after having the abortion, I became pregnant again while on Depo-Provera. The partner I had the abortion with? Well, he was now my fiancé.

We moved to another state where we shared an apartment. Being new to the area, I inquired with some of the ladies at my hair salon for some suggestions on what clinics they would recommend. When I arrived at the doctor’s office (not Planned Parenthood), a nurse confirmed I was pregnant and pulled out a small machine that had a long tube on it. The nurse aimed it towards my abdomen, motioning for me to lift up the bottom of my shirt. “Congratulations!” she beamed, “You’re pregnant! Now just lower your pants a bit so we can hear the heartbeat with this Doppler.”

I felt incredible joy in this moment in a way I didn’t think possible – and a heartbeat? As plain as the sunrise each morning! No one celebrated this at Planned Parenthood in my previous experience. But that joy was quickly replaced with a wave of guilt and shame for what I had decided to do just less than a year ago, feeling unworthy of the life now inside me. The thoughts of what happened that terrible day I continued to bury. Afraid of looking back, I convinced myself this was a new start.

In the fall of 1999, my fiancé and I were married and I gave birth to a healthy a baby girl! This little life created joy and harmony in a way we never thought possible. My husband said he never dreamed he would have such a smart, beautiful daughter and often found himself wondering how he deserved this. Time passed and my husband began having difficulty keeping work. It was evident that he struggled with depression and one late summer in 2001, I discovered I was pregnant again.

Naturally I went back to the OB that I’d seen while pregnant with my daughter. This time, however, I was experiencing sharp pains in the lower left side of my pelvis that would not go away. The OB could not find anything on an ultrasound or pelvic probe, so exploratory surgery was the next step. I was told there could be a cyst, cancer or something possibly worse that they couldn’t pick up from the images. “You know,” my OB commented, “We can take care of this if you want…during the surgery. Besides, you’ve already taken Dilantin for what could have been a reaction to ‘The Pill’ and you clearly cannot take Depo-Provera due to the side effects you’ve shown in the past.” I was told chances are the baby already had cleft pallet and that it was a whole hassle of issues including surgeries and expense that we didn’t need right now. I was stunned – and scared at this reality, angry and upset. The OB completed his thoughts by saying, “You don’t have to, but know that it’s an option.”

So here we were on this merry- go-round again. My husband and I decided to do things a little differently this time by checking out all the options. We began by talking to family. One agreed that having this baby was not a wise decision, while the other reminded us that by aborting we were losing a life. What side of the fence are we on anyway? The reality was we weren’t sure medically what was going on with my body. So together my husband and I figured we’d try another Planned Parenthood location trusting we would be counseled differently as we were now a married couple with a child. We needed support and perhaps they had resources to help us sort this out. And the lingering question remained: “Do I want to keep it?”

We arrived at Planned Parenthood for our appointment in the city, greeted by protesters blurting out Bible quotes and viewing displays of bloody images of aborted fetuses and the ‘grim reaper.’ I wasn’t used to this because during my last experience at Planned Parenthood there were no protesters on site. We pushed through the crowded mass of people and entered the building. My husband and I slid our IDs through the thick glass block between us and the front desk staff. “This is ridiculous,” I thought “Why did we decide this again?” The room was noisy, crowed and people were very grouchy, however; when the social worker called out my name we were relieved.

We shared with this new counselor our concerns and my experience with abortion at another Planned Parenthood clinic. We talked about my husband’s health, how finances were tight and the issues we were up against with this pregnancy and asked what they could offer.

The answer was simple from this counselor: “You need to abort.” So, we asked what their procedure was as we’ve been through this before and was told they used Tylenol 3 for all their surgical procedures. My husband began to complain and reminded the counselor of my experience just a few years ago. She informed us if I wanted to be asleep during the process, to head down the way to another neighboring clinic where they are equipped to handle ‘twilight’ sedation.

I wasn’t happy that the conversation was headed towards abortion again. What I wanted was someone to ask: Have you checked out ‘XYZ’ places, a church, second option? When in crisis, I learned people aren’t thinking those things. You’re thinking “FIX IT NOW!” and I played right into it. The counselor interrupted and said she wanted to speak to me alone. I told her I didn’t want to speak to her alone. She pressed. We left the building. Upon returning home, the counselor called me again – not once, but over the course of an entire week, one time twice during the day, pressing that I need to have an abortion for my own health. I hung up on her and called my OB.

I explained to my OB our experience with Planned Parenthood and asked how the procedure though the hospital would be done differently vs. the PP clinic. Because my OB was also a surgeon, I was reassured that things would operate very differently. I would be in professional hands in a medical facility where if something were to go wrong, emergency staff would be there to help. The bonus? I wouldn’t have to hear the roar of the suction machine. And to make me feel better, remaining parts of the extracted fetus would be used for stem cell research. Well, I thought. This may be for the better. Or was it?

The eve of my second abortion appointment came. As my husband, daughter and I sat together curled up on the couch, we watched the news following the tragic events of 911. It was in that moment I began to realize that there were not just 3 of us sitting on the couch, but that there were actually 4 and that this little soul was going to meet its Creator along with all the lives that were lost in the 911 attack. I prayed, trying hard to rationalize the situation…stem cell research. Whose life was more important?

I awoke in the recovery room. This time I was in a bed, surrounded by calm nurses quietly tending to my needs. I could hear my husband’s voice in the background and I knew I was okay. But again, there was that empty hollow feeling coming back. So what did they discover that was going on in my body? I had “too much colon.” So much of it apparently that a specialist was called into surgery. Not life threatening, but somewhat concerning as it could cause problems later.

For nearly a year I gathered specialists “opinions” on what to do with this new information. What was most baffling is when I got a second opinion. Following an X-ray exam, my colon appeared to be perfectly intact and I was told most likely I was experiencing irritable bowel syndrome. I took that experience and vowed to do something constructive and positive to make a change in my body through meditation and monitoring the kinds of foods I ate. I also vowed that that was going to be the last time anyone would convince me to have an abortion. I had my questions answered but another life was lost.

People tell me I should have known better, or, I was exercising my freedom of choice as a woman. Some say that what I chose to do in my circumstance was a ‘giveaway’ for another life. That we couldn’t afford another child anyway and perhaps I knew that I couldn’t handle having anymore children. But at what cost?

The saddest part of this story is that one cold January morning in 2004, my husband took his life following years of depression. In his early teens he’d received his first knee surgery that led to a gradual dependency on prescription pain pills. By the time he was 39, he had become completely dependent upon them to mask his own suffering not just of physical pain, but emotional as well. Our daughter was just 4 years old at the time and we were both home at the time of his unexpected death. No one, not the paramedics or the emergency staff at the hospital could save his life.

What did this teach me? A ‘clump of cells’ in a womb, I learned ARE alive. For in those cells contain the essence of will and life itself – the spirit of who we truly are and ‘they,’ yes, they have a place in this world. They are just as worthy of love and appreciation and life as we are given in what little time we have on this great earth. Every life is worth something to someone. For once a life has ended, that life may never be brought back again.

As Abby Johnson would say in her book, “Unplanned,” I share with you my journey to how I arrived on the other side of the fence. It was through those experiences, I learned the value of what living is. I learned a lot in being honest with myself and truthful in my experiences, for they are real and that is the very foundation which has made me stronger and wiser and more spiritually grounded woman and a sacred human.

So what about that fear stuff I had? Well, I’m still standing and I won’t stand for how Planned Parenthood treats its own humankind as I once fell into their shadow of destruction. This is the honest, true testimony of the deaths that took place in my own body and the deeply unethical experiences I encountered on more than one occasion and in different states.

Join me in this effort to open the door and shed light on the shadow that has engulfed thousands of women and potential lives through misinformation, deception and unethical protocols and procedures, while choosing to commit inhumane practices upon mankind.

We are the United States of America. Our people are strong. Our voices are clear. Together we can create beauty around what is needed for families, gathering resources and support and doing so with intention, truth and right action. It is up to each one of us. Isn’t that what we all are called to do?

I ask each of you to look inside and ask what it is you want to see in this world as part of our future for all humankind. People ask me if I’m pro-choice because of a medical implication as I chose to abort my second pregnancy. Although it may appear to be a choice, when we choose life and honor that request – that gift – you can trust that the love and support will be there.

Had I received different information from all of these sources, I may have had more grandchildren for the parents, or brothers or sisters for my daughter. It’s called the circle of life.

I cannot change the past and the choices I made, only move forward in educating others and pray that my story will help others not make the same mistakes.

PP offers education to youth pastors next.....

So Planned Parenthood thinks they have the latest word on sex ed. So much so that they are offering a one day workshop in Memphis to social workers, teachers, youth pastors, counselors and nurses for a cost of $100.

They advertise that they have the latest trend in adolescent sexual behavior.  They should know since they work hard to educate the teens.

If you are familiar with some of PP  outreach to teens such as Take CareDownThere which was nominated for an award...you can see what PP considers good taste and what they consider good education.

OR PP workers birth a union and terminate a CEO

How interesting that 10 Planned Parenthood branches  representing 160 workers  in OR  voted to be represented by  an SEI union.  This is Obama's favorite union so they should find like minded comrades there. Planned Parenthood fought the organizing attempt and the union accused them of being "anti choice".
"A union rep told KBOO radio that management had been holding "captive meetings" and sending out intimidating emails. Niemi also says that Planned Parenthood has been "restricting workers' speech and rights" by asking workers to not discuss the union during work."
The union also complained that workers were receiving phone calls at home but Planned Parenthood replied...
Our employees, like our patients, should be fully informed to make decisions about their future."
The workers had gripes about not having a "livable" wage and wanted "more of a voice" in policy making.    During the campaign,  the union threatened to picket  Planned Parenthood and this caused them to cancel a $250 per plate  fund raising dinner.

The propaganda generated during the union organizing drive lauded the hard work of the workers noting how many pregnancy tests they administered and how many birth control pills were distributed. They noted  that  "Oregonians have  the highest per capita usage of Planned Parenthood in the nation." No mention of how many abortions were performed leaving that tidbit unreported.
" The newborn union then jumped headfirst into its first bargaining process with the PPCW board in November, which lasted all winter and finally came to a close last week"
Alas, while an agreement is born, the employment of the CEO David Greenberg  is terminated.

It is with tongue in cheek that I highlighted the words to describe the union campaign and outcome with the nation's largest promoter and provider of abortions.  They are so hardened to their work and use these words to describe their little struggle they probably miss the irony of the words also used to terminate the lives of the preborn boys and girls who will forever have their voices and rights silenced.

PP: May is Masturbation month.....tweets to your kids

Oh brother, the hits just keep rolling in. Did you know that May is Masturbation month. Thanks Planned Parenthood for telling us that tucked away between Mother's Day and Father's Day is Masturbation month!
They announce the tease in various tweets and send you to websites that discuss the benefits of masturbation including mutual masturbation.  Yes, the kids are almost out for the summer mos. and your friends at PP don't want you to forget about them. In case you did not know how to do it or what the latest slang term is....PP is here to help. They want to also let you know that everyone is doing it and how to get the most out of it and most of all not to feel any shame cause
"Only you can decide what is healthy and right for you."
Get the drift....so if you had a cool and hip sex health educator and they tell you to follow them on twitter  which is much more private than Facebook (after all your mom may insist on being your friend there) you can continue to reach out to them and establish yourself as the go to place for sex and all the consequences of sex. See how this works... PP spends a lot in marketing their brand to the kids cause that is where the $$ comes in when things go wrong.

Memphis Dem speaks on the issue of sex ed despite hostility from own party

Rep. John DeBerry (D) from Memphis boldly speaks the truth  on the floor of the TN House on a sex ed bill in TN and takes considerable  heat from his own party for it. He does a good job of further explaining on CNN who appear to mock his stand.

Planned Parenthood, ACLU and liberal outlets such as NPR mock this bill and try to distort it saying that it bans hand holding, hugging and kissing and teachers will be fined for not stopping this.  Apparently CNN took their false talking points to heart and tried to run with them. PP wants  to be in schools to discuss outer course, anal sex and oral sex as ways to prevent pregnancies and then hand out condoms with their business cards.

Due to redistricting Rep. DeBerry (D) must run against incumbent Rep. Jeanne Richardson (D) in the primary. Richardson will have to move about two blocks into the district to run in District 90. Richardson is a strident and radical defender of abortion on demand.

Well this bill passed and was signed by the Gov. despite attacks from the abortion industry and friends.
I contacted Rep. DeBerry and congratulated him on his courage.  I hope to see more courage like his in the legislature.

Knoxville TN: Banned PP from schools bring their info in under different cover

Good work on the part of vigilant parents in the Knoxville area. From No Planned Parenthood-Knox County Schools on Facebook.
"Attention Parents: This "nonprofit group" is currently active in the Knox County School system (see the section "Calendar of Events"). You can Google "planned parenthood" and "setting the record straight" and bring up the page from the time of the Knox County controversy. It is clearly stated on the PP page, under the section at the bottom, "What our education department is doing in east Tennessee," that "We are active members of Knoxville's Faith Coalition, KAPPI (Knoxville Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Initiative, and the World AIDS Day planning committee."
So they are bringing the information in through a different avenue. PP wants access to your children edging out the parents in their own style. It is not so much as what they say in the classroom presentation as it is gaining credibility as information providers to your kids. They can encourage them to look them up through social media and then that is where it gets really interesting!  Check out some of their award winning websites such as Takecaredownthere.org. Prepare to be shocked! I know they pride themselves on being sooooo non judgmental.  Really??? Take this line from PP's  own website..
"Research shows us that shame-based, abstinence-only education does not work."

Huff Post: PP scared they are the target of undercover videos on something they admit happens.....

Wow, Live Action really has them scared. It is amazing how a youth led grassroots organization can get them shaking in their boots even before anything is released. Huffington Post runs an article on behalf of their friends at Planned Parenthood. They are fearful that they have been the target of sting operations on women seeking sex selection  abortions.  They are doing a preemptive strike against Live Action making all sorts of claims that are not substantiated or outright lies.  But why are they doing that? So what if sting operations uncover that sex selections are being done routinely at Planned Parenthood. Here they are admitting it.....
" While Planned Parenthood condemns seeking abortions on the basis of the gender of the fetus, Cooney said the provider is also "committed to providing high-quality, confidential, nonjudgmental care to all who come into our health centers." While Planned Parenthood staffers are extensively trained to answer unusual and difficult questions and to refer women to necessary counseling, none of its clinics will deny a woman an abortion based on her reasons for wanting one, except in those states that explicitly prohibit sex-selection abortion (Arizona, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Illinois).
So did they not just state that they will abort for any reason or no reason except where prohibited by law and I am sure they will find a way to have some "judicial bypass" around that as well. And if it rarely happens why did four states just outlaw it? So why would they fear undercover videos that show what they just admitted to.  Did they not just acknowledge ...if you have the $$, they will abort. Why waste their time attacking Live Action for uncovering this? Their spin machine is working overtime.

PP in WI: discontinues chemical abortions when law mandates following FDA protocol...

Cross Posted at Wisconsin Right to Life.....Good work. The cheerleaders for the abortion industry will cry a river over this saying it is unnecessary....well take it up withe the FDA...note that per the protocol put out by the FDA is 3-4 separate visits with a doctor.  Sorry to inconvenience you but not that number of deaths and adverse incidents with the use of this killer drug. It is not a magic pill.....

WI Right to Life Applauds Suspension of RU 486 Abortions. Suspension Likely to Spur Decline in Wisconsin Abortions

In a true victory for Wisconsin women, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin announced that it is suspending dangerous RU 486 chemical abortions because of the new law, Act 217,  which takes effect today. The FDA reports that 14 American women have died during RU 486 abortions and there were over 2,200 adverse incidents for women through use of this drug.
Act 217, the Coercive and Web Cam Abortion Prevention Act, requires the abortionist to determine if a woman is being coerced into having an abortion and prohibits web cam RU 486 abortions.   The purpose of the law is to ensure the health and safety of women in these situations.
Wisconsin Right to Life was the major organizational force behind the enactment of the law.
People mistakenly believe that women who have chemical abortions pop a pill and, magically, they are no longer pregnant.   Yet, FDA protocol for use of this two-drug regime is three to four visits to a doctor with close supervision.  “With the advent of web cam abortions, now taking place at Planned Parenthood clinics in Iowa and Minnesota, instead of this close supervision, women discuss their abortion over a web cam without a physical exam by a doctor.  Planned Parenthood envisions bringing web cam RU 486 abortions into local communities.  But now, not in Wisconsin, thanks to Act 217.   And, because chemical abortions comprise 26% of Wisconsin abortions, their suspension will result in another decline in Wisconsin abortions which is great news for mothers and babies.
Opponents of Act 217 complain that the requirement of a private discussion with the woman to learn if she is being coerced is somehow detrimental.  Yet, women who are coerced are many times accompanied to the abortion clinic by the person doing the coercing who want to make sure she has the abortion.  This common sense law protects women at a time when it is most needed and provides help if she is a potential or real victim of domestic abuse.
Wisconsin Right to Life applauds Senator Mary Lazich, Rep. Michelle Litjens and the state legislature for passing this important bill and Governor Scott Walker for signing it into law.
