On occasion, a new pro-life book is published that offers explanations on how to defend the pro-life position, but few are as comprehensive as the awesome new book by Serena Gaefke called 101 Reasons Not to Have an Abortion: A Girl's Guide To Informed Choices. This easy-to-read book explains in detail the 101 reasons, plus testimonials, words of encouragement from the author, and much more. The title states that it's A Girl's Guide to Informed Choices, but actually it can be a guide for anyone whether they are pro-choice or pro-life. It gives the pro-choicer a plethora of information about why abortion is definitely the wrong choice. But it also supplies the pro-lifer with 101 ways to defend their position. This book took over four years to complete and is available online for, believe it or not, free.
The book opens with testimonials such as the following:
If I had the right counseling and someone to talk to me, to let me know the risks involved, the mental torture, the emotional scares that I have endured all these years, I would have walked out of that building that day without one look back, but I didn't.
—Rhonda
I didn’t fully feel the impact of my decision to abort until January 1980 when, after four years of marriage, I had my son Justin. As I nuzzled him close to my chest and fed him, it hit me. What had I done?
—Wendy
Then there is the following:
If you are someone who has had an abortion then I extend my heart to you. I want you to know that as strongly as I feel about this topic I hold absolutely nothing less than love for you. You are not a bad person and you do not deserve anything less than forgiveness, love and joy...
Each reason to not have an abortion is then explained in detail.
A few of the 101 reasons not to have an abortion are:
Reason #2: We know when life begins
Reason #3: You have been lied to
Reason #10: Your baby exists now, not in the future
Reason #11: A fetus is a human and humans are persons
Reason #20: There is a plan
Reason #21: To fulfill her plan your child needs to be born
Reason #36: ‘Freedom to choose’ does not tell you what you have the freedom to choose
Reason #76: Slavery was legal too
Reason #80: Abortion is a betrayal of women
Reason #81: Abortion after rape is a double tragedy
Reason #82: There are so many couples who would love to parent if you don’t
Reason #100: You can still live your dreams
In her own words Serena Gaefke discusses her path in writing this book:

In her own words Serena Gaefke discusses her path in writing this book:
Serena Gaefke conceived this book as an Australian 24-year-old newlywed and Green Card holder to the United States. At the time the outcome was unknown. Where would the money come from? How could she do it? What would others think of her? Still, she opened herself to the possible and her project grew and grew. Four years later after extensive personal research and much bonding with her personal computer, her project was ready to be born. At times it seemed too overwhelming or even that it was overdue – but she didn’t abort. And now, she is so glad she didn’t. It brings her much joy to announce to the world, her firstborn baby, 101 Reasons Not to Have an Abortion.
