This is my favorite educational outreach event....the oratory contest for high schools students. They always inspire me as they stand up for the cause for life. They realize that 1/3 of their generation is missing.
I always say that this generation will be the one to correct what my generation started. Congratulations to the three winners...L-R Bailey Waters, Tori Johnstone and Shannon Cobb. Can't wait for the state contest May 1st. The top two winners spoke on euthanasia.
The Robertson County Right to Life held their sixth annual oratory contest on April 8th at Christian Community High School and Church at Grace Park. Eight contestants presented original speeches on one of the pro life issues of abortion, euthanasia, infanticide or stem cell research. Shannon Cobb, a homeschooled 11th grader won first place and will represent Robertson county at the state contest in Nashville on May 1st. Placing 2nd is Tori Johnstone, 9th grade from Christian Community High School and third was Bailey Waters, 9th grade, Christian Community High School.
