- SuzyB recognizes a true pro life hero as Rep. Chris Smith is awarded the Wilberforce Leadership Award from Students for Life of America. Smith introduced a comprehensive piece of legislation to end the current patchwork of pro-life protections. The “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act” would prohibit abortion funding at all levels of government. Expect a fight on this one!
- Wesley J. Smith outlines a NYT article about MO being the first state to take a vote on a non-binding resolution rejecting Obamacare. Democrats are dismissing it as unimportant since they fully realize the poll numbers are not in their favor. Their game plan: dismiss it as Republican nonsense and divert attention elsewhere.
- Real Choice continues to taunt the abortion industry with her daily memorializing of deaths of women getting safe and legal abortions. Today she remembers Ingrid Thomas, age 28, who died August 1, 1991 after her uterus was perforated during the abortion procedure. One abortion = two dead. This is choice?
- Catholic Vote Action draws attention to the latest sickening maneuver by Barbara Boxer’s campaign: “Babies for Boxer.” Now those little darlings can support Boxer, who during the Senate hearings on partial-birth abortion, expressed the idea that born babies have no constitutional rights until their mothers “bring [them] home.”
- Pro Life With Christ discusses the closing of Dr. William Harrison’s abortion mill in Fayetteville, AR. He is the former doctor to Hillary Clinton and often mocked the praying mothers in front of his clinic, putting up his own sign and stating he was doing God’s will by performing abortions.
- ProLifeBlogs links to an article about Hope Clinic in Granite City, IL (which in the past had been exposed for unsanitary conditions) and its violation of HIPAA laws. A clinic escort took a picture of a woman she was escorting out of the clinic and shouted her medical finding to the pro-lifers present. The upset woman called the police and is filing a complaint with HHS. This is not the first complaint regarding the release of private medical information by clinic personnel.
- Big Blue Wave posts a link to an article in the Daily Mail which shows a disturbing increase in pre-teens’ use of contraceptives. This is not improved sex education!
- Judie Brown discusses the “dirty politics” and deception involved in the process of creating a Kenyan constitution. The vote is set for President Obama’s birthday, August 4. I wonder if legalizing abortion in Kenya is on his birthday wish list.
