Pro life updates:November 27, 2010

Wesley J. Smith   writes about The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg hearing the case of a man who is suing over the country's " refusal to grant his late wife authorization to acquire a lethal dose of medication enabling her to commit voluntary, assisted suicide." She was paralyzed after a fall and wanted to die. When they refused she did commit suicide in Swiss suicide clinic. This ruling is key ...
"Because if suicide is a fundamental human right, how can it be limited to the dying, the sick, or people with disabilities?  Indeed, if we have a “right to die,” who is to gainsay why we decide to exercise that right?"

Suzy B  laments "that a tragedy in Thailand after the remains of 2,000 unborn children found in  a Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand,  now has caused the "Thai lawmakers think they've come up with a solution: more lenient abortion laws. Because the answer to death and destruction is more death and destruction?"

Andy Moore of Star Studded Super Step grieved with the rest of New Zealand when 29 miners were lost in a mine disaster, however, while he grieved another ongoing tragedy touched his heart and he posted on his facebook page the following post touching on another loss that is ongoing that also grieves his heart. Many attacked him for comparing the two. They accused him of being heartless.

Real Choice continues to chronicle abortions deaths that occurred on that date and she includes the graph showing that prior to legalization of abortion, contrary to the propaganda,  that is out there, 90% of the abortions prior to legalization was performed by doctors.

"On November 26, 1923, 23-year-old Alice S. Johnson died at Chicago's West End Hospital from a criminal abortion performed there that day. Alice's abortion was typical of criminal abortions in that it was performed by a physician."

Pro Life Blogs  highlights another welcome announcement out of NJ "The New Jersey Planned Parenthood has closed another center thanks to pro-life Gov. Chris Christie cutting off the taxpayer funding the abortion business receives through the state’s family planning program... Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey announced that it would be closing its Dover, New Jersey center. Although the facility did not do abortions it makes abortion referrals like all Planned Parenthood centers do to its abortion clinics." Now that is cost cutting that saves lives.
