Autistic boy dies of cancer as mother is charged with murder for withholding meds

What at tragic story.... young boy with severe autism dies from cancer and the mother is charged with murder by withholding the medications to treat his cancer. Nothing but tragedy...father leaves family, mother feels exhausted from caring for disabled son and when cancer strikes she said she felt that the side effects was worse than the cancer of so she says and discontinues meds. However, she lies about this to the dr. and child dies. In a strange twist the father who reportedly regained custody during the last year of his life, was killed in a motorcycle accident following the son's death. What they don't say in the story is how the father escaped scrutiny in all of this if he had actual custody of the child. Mother, Kristen LaBrie of Lawrence, MA now stands trial.
