MS PP decries requiring abortionist to meet hospital standards

It is really amazing how liberal MSNBC spins the story of a pending legislation in the state of MS can pretend with a straight face that they care about the health of women. They cry foul about a bill that passed and is on the way to the governor who is expected to sign it.
" The bill, which passed the state Senate on Wednesday, would require doctors performing abortions to be board-certified OB-GYNs and to have admitting privileges at a local hospital in case a woman undergoing an abortion needs to be immediately hospitalized."
The owner of the remaining abortion place acknowledges that most of her docs are from out of state. Get the picture?  Note her sad face holding a picture of her abortion mill. What is she thinking of?? Let me give you a hint....lost revenue.

She says she cares about the maternal mortality.... she may go to court to fight this an unconstitutional.  Better check with POTUS on sound bites about unconstitutionality  when passed by a "strong majority."  They care so much about the health and welfare of the women in MS that they would be willing to go to court to have a law duly passed by a majority and signed by the governor that says that the doctor doing surgery on the woman be board certified in that specialty and have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital is unconstitutional. You would have to do some judge shopping there.

Interesting quote from former abortion operator....
"Dr. Beverly McMillan of Jackson, a retired OB-GYN who in 1975 opened the first abortion clinic in the state but later came to oppose abortions, says anyone performing an abortion should have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital. (Admitting privileges are an arrangement whereby doctors can refer patients to a hospital if further treatment is warranted).
"If you're going to do outpatient surgery that has the possibility of injuries, you should have a quick route to get those patients into a hospital,” McMillan, who is now an officer of the Christian organization Pro-Life Mississippi, was quoted as saying Tuesday at the state Capitol by the AP. “And if you're a decent doctor, you'll be the doctor that admits them and takes care of their complication."
Amen. If you are a decent doctor you are a doc with admitting privileges.
