DNC reality show..where abortion on demand and without apology is the star ......

What a week with the reality show at the DNC!!

Did you ever think you would hear God booed on the convention floor  or as one pundit said, they were against God before they were for Him.......and one of the prime time speaking slots were given to a 30 year old grad student whose claim to fame is demanding free birth control pills at tax payers expense while she attends the prestigious law school at Georgetown. You just can't make this stuff up.

Vendors are handing out cleverly wrapped  condoms compliments of Planned Parenthood and your tax $$. And as Jill Stanek wrote abortion is clearly out of the closet and in your face with the abortion palooza during this convention. The plank says abortion on demand regardless of the stage of pregnancy, reason or ability to pay. Wow!! As one liberal tweeter noted the crowd cheered louder for abortion than the killing of UBL!!!  The preborn baby is a bigger threat????

Albert Mohler noted in his column today that the two parties are so far apart on social issues that our vote will reveal something very serious about our worldview.
"The assumptions framing the abortion positions of the two parties include the belief that every human life is sacred and to be protected at every point of development contrasted with the belief that a human life takes on greater worth and right to live as the development continues, but is tentative at least until the moment of live birth. The belief that the baby is itself the most urgent moral unit is contrasted with the belief that the woman and her right to control her own reproductive destiny is paramount. Behind these beliefs stand convictions and assumptions about human dignity, the worth of human life, the responsibility of the society to every human life, the purpose and end of human reproduction, and nothing less than the meaning of both life and death."
Abortion is no longer in the closet shrouded in secrecy and talked about with code words of unfortunate and tragic but necessary at times. Planned Parenthood supporters wear strange pink flowing costumes  resembling  a woman's vagina and hold up signs that say read my lips. Abortion has become a sacrament and the one night stand a rite  of passage.

After the convention, some stations cut away to their talking heads giving a wrap up and did not carry the benediction of Cardinal Dolan. An interesting side note to that as well. The cardinal was invited to give the benediction at the conclusion of the Republican convention and then he  offered to do the same at the Dem convention but they refused....thought that might come across as a mistake...then they agreed. So they said no to the benediction before they said yes. Cardinal Dolan who is currently battling the administration over religious freedom issues invoked the protection of the unborn.
"We ask your benediction on those waiting to be born, that they may be welcomed and protected. Strengthen our sick and our elders waiting to see your holy face at life’s end, that they may be accompanied by true compassion and cherished with the dignity due those who are infirm and fragile."
Mohler says our vote will reveal much about us and our worldview. For me, I will be early voting and in Israel on election day. I will awake  to the news of what worldview we have chosen for the US.

Tragedy at sea points to tragedy of new reality between sexes

Everyone is hearing about the terrible tragedy at sea.... how the crew and captain of the
Costa Concordia,  grounded off the coast of Tuscany, carrying over 4K passengers acted cowardly and pushed women and children aside to jump into lifeboats. When I first heard the story, I remembered that many crew members were probably entertainers, waiters, store clerks, cleaners etc who were not trained in evacuation techniques.  This does not excuse their behavior but helps us understand it.  But the terrible tapes of the captain acting with such cowardice toward his ship and passengers in his care brought other thoughts to mind.

Rich Lowry wrote an excellent piece in the National Review contrasting the character of the captain and crew  of the Titanic in years past to what just happened. No doubt, chivalry and honor appear to be dead. This brought to mind a piece by Albert Mohler on the state of manhood today.  One of the unintended consequences of the feminists movement seems to be the feminizing of our men. We see this in the workforce and hear comments about this from men. They want to be equal, well let them do the heavy lifting. So in times of panic and tragedy, the men have not been raised to care for the women and children first but to have a view of "every man for himself" attitude.

We  share in the blame of this new reality.
