This is why I won't contribute....
Abortion And Cancer
Carolyn Holtzmann, Yankton
There was another pink warrior advertisement recently on television asking for donations for curing cancer for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. This organization contributed $711,785 in 2005-06 and at least $726,445 in 2006-07 to Planned Parenthood, the leading provider of abortions. Currently, 25 of their affiliates take our donations and instead of funding cancer research, use those funds to make sizeable contributions to Planned Parenthood.
The Susan G. Komen organization refuses to acknowledge the abortion-cancer link. A 2009 study by Brinton of the National Cancer Institute found that abortion is a “known risk factor” for breast cancer, reporting a 40 percent increase in cancer for women who have had abortions. The Daling studies of 1994 and 1996 had already come to that same conclusion. The data has existed for more than 15 years!
The Obama administration also refuses to acknowledge this abortion-cancer link, as the current health care bills mandate that our federal tax dollars be used for abortions, under the generic term of “women’s reproductive health care.”

We
would be paying for a procedure that not only causes the death of a child, but
also burdens the mother with a 40 percent chance of breast cancer later in
life.
