I want to point out the elected legislators who did not favor women being advised of their rights and subsequently voted against it. No surprises here since they are all favorites of the abortion industry.
In the House....we have Camper, Favors, Sherry Jones, Pruitt, Richardson, Sontany, Stewart, Turner J
Present and not voting in the House is Gilmore and Kernell.
On the Senate side ..... no surprise voting no is Berke and Marrerro. Present and choosing not to vote was Harper and Kyle.
I want to point out that Roy Herron who is running for Congress on the Democratic ticket to replace retiring John Tanner did not push a button to vote. He had to think it over and later decided to vote for the bill rather than explain to voters why he was opposed to allowing women to be advised of their rights not to be coerced into an abortion. Herron wants to run as a pro life Democrat. It is not so. He will sponsor bills that sound pro life but will have no legal standing and he knows it is a ruse. When a legitimate pro life bill is introduced he works diligently behind the scenes and with parlimentary trickery to kill it. Herron is well known for telling stories about the birth of his twin sons, he tries to lead you to believe the life of his wife was endangered. It was not. The danger was to his sons. I confronted him about his tale telling once and he just changed the subject.
But good for TN Right to Life and congrats on their win today.
