Culture Campaign has two interesting posts from Washington State. The first is a report from the state health dept. that the teen pregnancy and abortion rates have dropped with the abortion rates at an historic low. They credit abstinence and contraceptives.
The second post tells how an audit of Planned Parenthood of the Inland Northwest and the State of Washington has revealed that they have been routinely over billing medicaid for abortions and contraceptive and family planning visits.
"The Medicaid audit settlement calls for a $345,000 payment by Planned Parenthood to the state. The original audit finding estimated the improper payments at $629,143 over a three-year period."
PP made
a settlement agreement with no admission of wrongdoing. Sweet, they only had to pay some of it back. So when business
is down in one area does PP making it up in another area by over billing??
