Abortion by Religion

Well this is disappointing....While it does not surprise me that mainstream protestant religions have become so pc that they have embraced abortion  as an unfortunate but acceptable way out of a mess but it is disappointing to see the Catholic Church who have always stood solidly for the defense of life to join them.
The pro choice Catholics politicians  have curried favor and gotten a pass from the hierarchy of the Church. Take for example the puff piece written by Catholic News Service lauding Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis and completely ignoring the fact that she sports a 100% voting record with NARAL. Catholic Universities are also going over to the dark side . All this is not lost on the people in the pews.
It has been my experience that the churches have opted out of this fight and for this I say shame on them. If you won't talk about this from the pulpit is a violation of the ordination vows you took.
How can we expect better of the people when the leaders are so neglectful of the sanctity of human life.

The abortion rate is calculated by taking the unintended pregnancy rate (incidences of unintended pregnancy per 1000 women aged 15-44 years) times the % of unintended pregnancies that end in abortion.
