Myth 2 - Abortion is legal because the Constitution says so.Fact 2 - Legal abortion is the fruit of judicial activism. It has been imposed upon the country by judges.
Myth 3 - Most Americans agree with current U.S. abortion law.Fact 3 - The vast majority of Americans strongly disagreewith it.
Myth 4 - Abortion is rare in the U.S.Fact 4 - The U.S. has the highest abortion rate in the western world.
Myth 5 - Most abortions in the U.S. are done for health reasons or because of rape or incest.Fact 5 - Most abortions in the U.S. have nothing to do with these reasons.
Myth 6 - Abortion is good for women.Fact 6 - Women suffer physically and psychologically after abortion.
Myth 7 - Abortion is beneficial to modern society.Fact 7 - Abortion has a negative impact on communities and society at large e.g. more children are now born out of wedlock than in and there is a high correlation between out of wedlock child bearing and a host of negative social indicator such as poverty and crime.
Myth 8 - The more people have access to contraception, the fewer abortions there will be.Fact 8 - More contraception lead to more sexual behavior more unintended pregnancies and more abortion.
Myth 9 - I can be personally opposed to abortion but still be pro-choice.Fact 9 - That is impossible. If you are pro-choice you support the right to kill innocent human beings.
Myth 10 - Abortion does not take the life of a human being.Fact 10 - Every abortion takes the life of a human being.
