Kevin Pearce learns patience from Down Syndrome brother

Tom Brokow interviews the family of Kevin Pearce who many thought would win a gold in the snowboarding competition. He suffered a critical injury in practice months before the Games started. A good interview but what I caught was the highlighting of his Down Syndrome older brother David who his mother said that the "great gift of David in our life prepared me for this experience." How wonderful for a special needs child to be highlighted in this way especially when prenatal testing specifically for Down's Syndrom ends with a 95% abortion rate.
