Left and right in WI: agree on mayonnaise....

Tennessean reprints an article about Scott Walker, the new gov. in my home state of WI. I cheered his election because he was pro life but am continually impressed with him. Saw his first press conference that was televised nationally because of the uproar in Madison. I agree with Chas. Krauthammer who said that this shows just how strong the bench of young guns in the Republican party is. He was impressive.
But I digress from this pro life blog to write about this because in reading more about him, I note that he lost his first race to incumbent Gwen Moore who I wrote about in a previous post when she rambled on and on about her unplanned pregnancies and her three children eating mayonnaise sandwiches when she gave a scattered defense of spending $363MM/yr. for Planned Parenthood. It was strange because it was like she was saying these kids of hers would be better off dead than growing up poor!! Really! As I watched her I thought who voted her into office??  Then today I read that Scott Walker who is known for his frugality carried the same brown bag lunch of two ham and cheese on mayo sandwiches to work each day, lost his first race to Gwen.
So two thoughts, he lost to her?? Well, it was his first race in Milwaukee, an urban area, and she probably had the benefit of incumbency and may have had the benefit of "dead voters" as they say in Memphis. But anyway, I just thought it interesting that two WI pols were in the news.....mayo sandwiches vs. ham and cheese. Note: his were on wheat...a healthier choice.
"Walker, married with two sons in high school, often carried the same bagged lunch: two ham-and-cheese sandwiches on wheat with mayo."
