MemphisPP: refers to CCHS for mammograms

You recall that the well paid 'but I work hard for my $$' PP prez Cecile Richards said on national TV that PP does mammograms . She must have been in make up and missed the memo that PP does not do mammograms.


Enter youth led...Live Action who with their trusty telephone book called around to Planned Parenthood asking the M question. As in can I get a mammogram here... You may also recall that in Memphis Christ Community Health Services beat out PP of Memphis in getting the Title X family planning monies to which local PP prez Barry Chase said...that's not fair. We did not know the standards in the bid process. Of course PP is not used to having standards. But I digress...watch this quick video and Memphis enters at 1:52 saying we do not do mammograms but refers to Christ Community Health Services.....

POTUS and PP Prez both make 400K per year

She makes the same salary as the President of the United States? Is that fair? 

Well, since Obama is such a STRONG supporter of abortion and will literally go to the mat to protect the abortion industry, I suppose he does not mind that the President of Planned Parenthood, a fellow Democrat,  makes $ 400,000 a year... the same as the leader of the United States.

When questioned about this in an interview, she said it was a non issue, she works hard for her money. Cecile Richards. She is the daughter of the late Ann Richards, a  former governor of Texas who was  also a strong supporter of the abortion industry. Isn't it nice that our tax money helps this non profit out so that they can be so generous to their prez.

"The high salary is not surprising given that the abortion business makes more than $1 billion in income. First achieved in its 2006-2007 fiscal year, the abortion business now regularly brings in more than $1 billion. That’s because the abortion business, that year, was doing more abortions than ever before. Its annual report showed an increase in the number of provided abortions from 264,943 in 2005 to 289,650 in 2006"

Cruel to view ultrasound....abortion to spare dirty diapers

I will never forget hearing Ann Richards on Larry King Live several years ago ranting and raving about Catholic priests and she said that those priests who never changed a dirty diaper in their lives are telling girls that it is a sin to have an abortion.  She is equating the inconvenience of changing a dirty diaper with killing the unborn.

Well the apple did not fall from the tree. Now her daughter, Cecile Richards, head of Planned Parenthood  is calling Rick Perry cruel for signing a bill requiring women to view the ultrasound of their unborn child prior to aborting.

Cecile Richards, daughter of former Texas Gov. Ann Richards and the head of Planned Parenthood, has accused Perry of trying to undermine women’s rights.
“Why is Rick Perry so cruel to women?” she asked in an email to supporters, saying Perry has directed a “single-minded assault on women’s rights,” including efforts to limit access to abortions.
“If he wins the White House, he will surely try to force these burdens on women across the country,” she wrote. “You can bet he’ll force this dangerous agenda on every woman in every state. If we don’t stand up to him now, women may suffer the consequences for years to come.”
The entire email indicates that Planned Parenthood — which has been the focus of criticism by conservatives — plans an aggressive pushback.

12:03: The Onion is a parody news source that sometimes takes on abortion (examples here and here), which is always interesting.
An equal opportunity lampooner, The Onion yesterday took jabs at both pro-lifers and the abortion industry in a piece, “Planned Parenthood opens $8 billion Abortionplex.”

Much of the parody was aimed against pro-life talking points and in subliminal support of PP’s false talkers, for instance:

PP president Cecile Richards told reporters that the new state-of-the-art fetus-killing facility located in the nation’s heartland offers quick, easy, in-and-out abortions to all women, and represents a bold reinvention of the group’s long-standing mission and values.
“Although we’ve traditionally dedicated 97% of our resources to other important services such as contraception distribution, cancer screening, and STD testing, this new complex allows us to devote our full attention to what has always been our true passion: abortion,” said Richards, standing under a banner emblazoned with PP’s new slogan, “No Life Is Sacred.” “And since Congress voted to retain our federal funding, it’s going to be that much easier for us to maximize the number of tiny, beating hearts we stop every day.”

Still, humor is often based on truth, so I’m sure this will be one piece Cecile doesn’t retweet. Click to enlarge…

True confession: Although I winced pretty much all though this article, there were a few times I did laugh. This tells me I have the propensity to become jaded, a little wake-up call. That said, I do wonder how pro-aborts will take it.

Cecile Richards avoiding the A word....she can't defend

Live Action notes that even pro aborts are calling out Richards for her lack luster performance in defending the A word. She doesn't want to talk about it.

Sive then turned to Richards’ April 13th appearance on the Rachel Maddow Show, and criticized Richards for twice dodging Maddow’s question about whether abortion services are worth fighting for.
In a clear sign of worry, her own supporters are calling her out. Richards’ inability to speak without making false claims is catching up to her. Richards’ unwillingness to debate abortion, however, is a calculated move. She knows she’d lose.
