Kohl's pledges no support for PP at any level....

  Cross Posted at ProLife WI:

Kohl’s: No support of Planned Parenthood will occur, from any level of the company

We have written in the past about Kohl’s and its ties to Planned Parenthood (read about the smoking gun here and the admission of the donation here). Life Decisions International, which compiles a boycott list of companies that support Planned Parenthood, confirmed January 3 that Kohl’s has been removed from the list.
Kohl’s is based in Menomonee Falls, Wis., and many people take pride in supporting a Wisconsin company. Kohl’s employs thousands across Wisconsin, and everyone knows someone who works there. So the news of Kohl’s support of Planned Parenthood struck especially close to home.
We would like to thank the thousands of Wisconsinites who expressed their displeasure with Kohl’s! It is because of the actions of all of you that Kohl’s discontinued its relationship with Planned Parenthood, and further took a stance on ensuring that Kohl’s will not be tied to Planned Parenthood in the future. To those of you who wrote letters, emails, made phone calls, sold your stock, canceled credit cards, refused to shop there — thank you! Your efforts were not in vain. Pro-life activism works!
This is what Life Decisions International had to say about Kohl’s:
“It was made clear to us that ‘no support of Planned Parenthood will occur in the future; from any level of the company’. All store managers too, by now, should have received a memo stating that ‘Planned Parenthood is not to be included in any donation made by individual stores’. However, anyone who is pro-life understands that the Kohl’s form-letter response over the past 6 months avoided the Planned Parenthood topic, but proclaimed support of Susan G. Komen; and is just as bad. Our boycott list though is strictly of companies that directly support Planned Parenthood.”

UW and PP slink away together....no late term abortions at UW for now

Despite its bold announcement in 2/09....it was not meant to be. Good work Wisconsin, my home state.  The pro life community was quick to respond first with their presence in opposition that would not go away and then with a legal challenge stating violation of state law by funding abortion training at PP. Then the dr. slated to be the abortionist left to work in MA. This was followed by stubborn insistence that  these stumbling blocks would not derail them. But today, nearly a year later came the weak announcement that plans although they are committed to offer this "important" procedure, they are scrapping plans  to do so at UW for now. I think the last election cycle surely had more than a little to do with it.  They know have a new neighbor, Gov Scott Walker who ran on a strong pro life platform. The state legislature switched over to the Republicans in the 2010 midterms so I would say that PP and the pro aborts thought it was time to pack their bags and rethink their battle plan. I am sure pro lifers in WI know to keep their eye on PP as they will bide  their time and rethink their battle plans. Congrats to Pro Life Wis for their commitment and perseverance.

"Peggy Hamill, state director of Pro-Life Wisconsin, says her group is not surprised by the announcement from the surgery center. "Pro-Life Wisconsin suspected for over a year that they were unable to get their ducks in a row," she said, noting that the surgery center was unable to get "full staff support for the practice of late term abortion" at the facility. Pro-Life Wisconsin and Wisconsin Right to Life campaigned hard against the provision of abortion services at the surgery center."

WI PP thinks it is cute to be bad

Pro Life Wisconsin  PP in WI sure are proud of their bad boy/bad girl image as they are handing out passwords of badbad....
"This would be chuckle-worthy… if Planned Parenthood wasn’t in the business of killing babies, making a joke of parent-child relationships, denying the humanity of the preborn..."
