As if Barack Obama has not jabbed at American allies enough over petty disputes, he has now added Canada to the list. Canada is head of the G8 this year. Prime Minister Stephen Harper wants to begin an initiative to combat child and maternal mortality. The catch is he does not want to include abortion into the initiative because…well, killing infants does not exactly help reduce the infant mortality rate. Abortion is also four times deadlier than childbirth, so supporting abortions is counter intuitive to reducing maternal mortality, as well.
