TN: PP sore loser on RFPs...sues sate over not being selected..

Boy PP sure does not like it when their brand is tarnished but they have only themselves to blame. Bad week for the PP PR machine. First Susan G. Komen drops them and then they decide to sue TN for actually looking at the Request for Proposals RFP's and deciding that other agencies could do a better job of serving Tennesseans. What if every organization decided to sue when they did not receive a grant??

Planned Parenthood of Middle and East TN along with PP of Memphis is suing the state of TN. Something they like to do when they don't get their way. Their beef appears to be that Title X monies was given to other sources to provide services to women and men and not automatically given to PP who enjoyed a  "sweetheart arrangement"  for the past several years. Foul, they cry...!!! It's all politics!! Nope PP is was all politics when you were given preferential treatment. Now when you have to apply ad show results and compete you come up short.

Click to enlarge but don't hold your breath....all the legal gobbledygook means they did not get the Title X money which went to county health departments and in Memphis to Christ Community Health Services. So Tennesseans are not going unserved....they are being better served. But watch out PP can be very vindictive when they don't get their own way.....

Having received millions and millions of tax dollars from Tennesseans over the past 40 years, Planned Parenthood is having a tough time adjusting to their new economic reality, said Brian Harris, president of Tennessee Right to Life.  “But as more and more Americans become aware of the abusive and criminal conduct being documented inside Planned Parenthood’s abortion facilities, many more of us are openly opposing public and private subsidy of this controversial organization,” said Harris.   “Their latest lawsuit is a desperate attempt to win back what they are losing from private donors and public tax payers.”
