Pro-life blog buzz 2-20-15

from Jill Stanek.com

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli

Wesley J. Smith examines a New York Times article which celebrates “a woman who waxes ecstatically about choosing the characteristics of her baby – apparently including his sex – as if she were buying a camp shirt at Tommy Bahama.” Smith mourns the fact that our society has become so self-centered and consumer-focused “that we presume the right to both have a baby and the baby we want.”

Survivors lists four things we can learn from civil rights hero Rosa Parks, applying this knowledge to combatting the horror of abortion.

Right to Life of Michigan says The Women’s Pavilion, an abortion clinic in South Bend, Indiana, will soon have its license revoked due to failure to correct multiple health violations:
The clinic’s abortionist, Ulrich Klopfer [pictured above], has had a variety of run-ins with the law including his failure to report statutory rape after performing abortions on 13-year-old girls.
Just another reason why clinic inspections are important.

Secular Pro-Life has a new series of blog posts which “deconstruct bizarre, disingenuous, and otherwise noteworthy statements on abortion center websites.” After reviewing the website for Reproductive Health Services of Montgomery, they had this interesting observation:
There is also a page entitled “Patient Comments,” but upon a close reading, the comments appear to come from political supporters rather than patients. None say anything specific about having had an abortion at RHS (e.g. “The staff treated me well”). One talks about having an abortion in 1973 (before RHS existed); another identifies herself as the mother of a newborn; another talks about wanting abortion to be legal when her four-year-old daughter grows up; and another refers to women she knows who have had abortions, rather than referring to herself.
The comment that really gave me chills, though, was the last one:“I have cared for 53 foster teenagers, most of them born unwanted. I couldn’t appreciate what you are doing more!”
Dude. If you truly believe that the children in your care would have been better off dead, you have no business whatsoever being a foster parent. I hope those 53 teenagers got out of this person’s home with some measure of their self-esteem intact.

ProWomanProLife has an astute comment on the article regarding a Canadian OB-GYN who was recently removed from his job because he put women at risk:
Dr. Michel Ronald Prevost [pictured above], an Almonte, Ont., gynecologist, admitted he gave abortion patients incorrect doses of medication that resulted in fetal abnormalities in two pregnancies that went to term.

That the doctor in question was trying as a matter of routine to kill babies bothers no one. That he wasn’t very good at it, however, now THAT’S a problem.

John Smeaton discloses the funding of an educational program for teachers which is intended to help them identify safe and unsafe sexual behaviors among children:
The UK law is clear that sexual activity under the age of 16 is unlawful. Nevertheless, the Department for Education has funded and recommended as a useful resource a Brook “traffic light” system that condones underage sex. The system has been adopted by at least one County Council. (Brook Advisory Service is one of Britain’s leading abortion referral organisations, specialising in advising young people – including those under 16 – about abortion, sex, STIs etc).

The traffic light system is not distributed to young people but is intended to “inform” teachers and other professionals working with children and young people. The tool identifies green, amber and red behaviours. Green behaviours – according to Brook – “reflect safe and healthy sexual development”, and “provide opportunities to give positive feedback”. Those behaviours include “consenting oral and/or penetrative sex with others of the same or opposite gender who are of similar age and developmental ability” – even where those engaged in the activities are in the 13-15 age group.

Activities classified as amber rather than red include “following others into toilets or changing rooms to look at them or touch them” and “pulling other children’s pants down/skirts up/trousers down against their will”. These behaviours, according to Brook, merely “have the potential” to be unsafe and unhealthy behavior.

ProLife NZ says just as the word “abortion” is used less and less in favor of other terminology, the culture of death is now searching for a term to replace “suicide”:
[A] survey asks readers what they think of the following terms: self-deliverance, dying with dignity, rational suicide, humane self-chosen death and a freshly-minted euphemism, dignicide.”… However, after mulling over the proposed words, I must say that “dignicide” has some merit. This coinage means not death with dignity, but the death of dignity – which is exactly what assisted suicide is.

Reflections of a Paralytic applauds the showcasing of American Horror Story actress Jamie Brewer (pictured above), who has Down syndrome, as a runway model in New York Fashion Week.

At ProLife365, Kevin Kukla shares his most memorable experiences with sidewalk counseling, and encourages pro-lifers to get involved.

Pro-Life Action League reports on a fundraising email from Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards in which she accuses pro-lifers blocking a New Orleans mega abortion facility of “hate”:
Cecile Richards and her team of expensive consultants at Planned Parenthood know full well that talking about abortion is a loser for her side, and it doesn’t take much grey matter to understand why. The latest proof comes just this week with the release of a new Gallup poll showing increasing discontent with current U.S. abortion policies among the general public.

And so, consequently, the nation’s largest abortion chain talks about abortion as little as possible, and spends twice as much time saying that those of us who oppose it are guilty of that most contemptible of sins, hatred. This sounds an awful lot like the “war on women” rhetoric that was — and, to a much smaller extent, still is — so popular among committed abortion supporters, although it’s pretty clear that this strategy has been a failure.

So too, from a P.R. standpoint, playing the hate card isn’t going to work. But it will surely make Planned Parenthood a lot of money.

Wesley J. Smith reports that not one, not two, but three physicians have signed declarations that Jahi McMath is not brain dead and a request is forthcoming asking the state of California to rescind her death certificate:
The family attorney Chris Dolan says he will petition the California Secretary of State to rescind the death certificate….

Attorney Dolan says that if the Secretary doesn’t give relief, he will sue.

But why should that be necessary? Given the declarations by three reputable brain specialist doctors and others, at the very least the Secretary should conduct a thorough investigation, including a full medical reassessment.

Jahi is owed that.

The integrity of the system demands it.

And if the unprecedented has happened–that a declared brain dead person ceased being
brain dead–finding out what happened and why is absolutely in the interests of science.

Pro-life blog buzz 2-13-15

Kansans for Life calls out the media for biased reporting on the cost of defending pro-life laws in Kansas – with headlines like “$1.2 million paid in attorney fees to defend anti-abortion laws.” Maybe if the abortion lobby didn’t continue bringing the lawsuits, the state – which is continually winning, by the way – wouldn’t have to pay any attorney fees. Problem solved, eh?

Abstinence Clearinghouse says “children as young as ten-years old have been given a contraceptive implant by the National Health Services, regardless of the fact that they are under the age of consent.” And going beyond this, the NHS doesn’t even have to tell the 10-year-old’s parents – because fifth-graders are so very mature, apparently:
If you’re under 16 and want contraception, the doctor, nurse or pharmacist won’t tell your parents (or caregiver) as long as they believe you fully understand the information you’re given, and your decisions .Hmm. To what other drugs or medical procedures does this apply, I wonder? UK parents, take note. “Free” government services may come at the price of you not being told about something that can damage your child’s health.

Bound4Life features an interview with Dr. Michael New, whose “unimpeachable research: interpreting data on the number of abortions, abortion rates, and the effectiveness of pro-life advocacy to save lives” is well respected in the academic and pro-life communities.

The Vine recaps the chilling cases of doctors deciding that infants and children with disabilities no longer need to live. In some cases, lifesaving treatment is withheld, and in others, it is removed, along with hydration and nutrition.

Big Blue Wave says Ottawa abortionist Dr. Michel Ronald Prevost (pictured right) has resigned after being found “incompetent in his practice of obstetrics and gynecology”:
"He displayed a lack of judgment and patients were exposed to harm or injury in his failure to properly screen patients for medical terminations, in his failure to calculate doses of Methotrexate on the basis of his patients’ respective body surface areas, and in his failure to follow up with patients, including when he was aware that patients had on-going gestations after the administration of Methotrexate,” the decision said. “In the cases of ongoing gestations, the patients’ fetuses were exposed to risk of harm, in that they were exposed to Methotrexate and Misoprostol.”
Yes, we’re talking about RU-486, which the abortion industry wants available to women through the mail and remotely.

Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life speaks against the pro-assisted suicide ruling in Canada, showing concern for the possible trajectory that the country may be set upon due to the Supreme Court’s decision – namely, suicide tourism, as happened in Switzerland. The ruling makes vulnerable the country’s “disabled, ill and elderly citizens.”

Pro-life blog buzz 2-6-15

American Life League’s Judie Brown reminds us of the “web of deception” that was used to market the birth control pill to millions of women in the 1960’s, and the toll it is taking today:
Today there are millions of unsuspecting women who have ingested chemicals that they think are harmless, not only to their health, but to the possible life of their preborn children. Current medical literature bears witness to the truth that the pill is not safe for any woman, let alone her baby if she conceives. Think about these news stories:

Time magazine: “Birth Control Pill Risks May Now Include Brain Cancer”

Newsweek magazine: “If You’ve Taken the Pill Recently, You May Be at Increased Risk of Breast Cancer”

The American Academy of Neurology: “Do Obesity, Birth Control Pills Raise Risk of Multiple Sclerosis?”

ABC News: “Birth Control Pills May Double Glaucoma Risk”

The list goes on, but we are pretty sure you get the picture.

Bound4Life says pro-abortion bills are being passed and signed under the radar in Washington, D.C., which “could force all employers in the nation’s capital to cover abortion-on-demand in health plans, including pro-life groups and religious schools.” D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (pictured far left) signed the bill, while outgoing mayor Vincent Gray (pictured far right) had refused to sign it, citing “serious constitutional concerns.”

Abstinence Clearinghouse says the National Center on Sexual Exploitation has a new 2015 Dirty Dozen list. Which organizations are on it?
This list highlights each of the top offenders and explains how they are currently contributing to sexual exploitation. Following the explanations is a list of actions that the public can take to persuade these companies to change their policies and practices. Among other, the list for 2015 includes… the book Fifty Shades of Grey for its glamorization of sexual violence
.
Culture Campaign points to a new review that shows, contrary to previous “morally indefensible” claims, that Plan B does indeed cause abortions.

Live Action News also weighs in on the emergency contraceptives as abortifacients debate:
“Many doctors and researchers,” the authors elaborate, “claim that it has either no – or at most – an extremely small chance of working via abortion.” But “the latest scientific and medical evidence now demonstrates that levonorgestrel emergency contraception theoretically works via abortion quite often.”

For those who couldn’t make it to the March for Life, Fr. Frank Pavone has posted his sermon from the National Prayer Service:

Pro-life blog buzz 1-30-15

 from Jill Stanek.com

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli

Live Action News reports on a perfect example of twisted pro-abortion logic from The Abortion Resource Handbook, in which author K Kaufmann tells teens that keeping their pregnancy and abortion a secret is positive and shows signs of maturity. (That’s interesting – I always thought hiding things from people was more a sign of an immature person with an inability to deal with the consequences of one’s own actions):
However sad or angry you feel right now, keep in mind that not involving a parent is often a sign of maturity – that you are able to make and take responsibility for your own decisions. Keeping the pregnancy and abortion a secret may even turn out to be a positive experience. For many young women, it may be one of the first times they make an important or life-changing decision on their own, and they may feel more confident and better about themselves as a result.
One of the first life-changing decisions… secondary, of course, to the decision to have sex in the first place.

Abstinence Clearinghouse reports on a Danish study which reveals a possible link between hormonal birth control use and brain tumors:
The study examined 316 women with glioma and found that women who used contraceptives containing only progestin for more than five years had a risk that was 2.4 times higher than the control group.

Wesley J. Smith shares his 2015 bioethics predictions. Check out how he did on his predictions from last year.

Bound4Life gives an overview of important court cases in the pro-life movement:
Over the past seven weeks, three separate federal appeals courts have heard important cases related to abortion policy in America — all with far-reaching implications for pre-born lives.
Pro-Life Wisconsin reports that Republicans legislators are conducting an audit on Planned Parenthood who has “publicly stated that if they are audited, they will likely have to close their birth control clinics in the state”:
Pro-Life Wisconsin applauds this bold legislative effort to root out waste, fraud and abuse in Wisconsin’s Medicaid family planning program. It is bad enough that these family planning monies fuel surgical and chemical abortions in our state. It is intolerable that Wisconsin taxpayers are ripped off in the process!

After Abortion refers to a survey showing 49% believe abortion is immoral, yet 51% want to keep it legal anyway. How about that for compartmentalization? Could this be due to society’s widespread misunderstanding of “judging” the actions of others, or could it be that they want it around in case they decide to do the immoral thing?

At National Review, Dr. Michael J. New writes that NARAL must be getting desperate, because they’re now conducting their own polls on Americans’ views on abortion:
[T]he poll, which purports to show strong support for legal abortion in four congressional districts, is deceptive. That NARAL increasingly feels the need to conduct its own polls at all is a striking shift in and of itself. But it’s the change in the questions those polls ask that should really raise eyebrows….The alternatives were 1) abortion is morally acceptable and should be legal; 2) personally opposed to abortion, but it should remain legal; and 3) abortion should be illegal.

A plurality of respondents preferred the second option, and NARAL quickly announced that the first and second options combined commanded majority support. Of course, the three questions did not allow for much nuance. Specifically, the poll did not ask about the 20-week abortion ban or other incremental pro-life laws that tend to poll well.

At New Feminism, Marjorie Murphy Campbell shares her wonderful sign photos from the West Coast Walk for Life in San Francisco. She notes the march has become safer and has grown in size in the city that is most known for its outrageous displays during marches.

Saynsumthn’s Blog has an update on St. James Episcopal Church in Wichita, Kansas, which hosted a “Chili for Choice” to raise funds for Planned Parenthood. In an attempt to demonize pro-life protesters, the church posted on social media an anonymous woman’s claim that PP provides needed health services to low-income women (as if other health providers don’t) and that PP is not “evil.” Despite this, on the day of the event, participants were greeted with photos of abortion victims – which PP kills to the tune of more than 300k a year (an inconvenient truth, for St. James) – outside the church.

A Drop in the Ocean says that as the excitement of the March for Life begins to wear off, don’t go home and forget why you marched:

[O]ur victory over the culture of death depends on winning the overall war, not just a single battle each year….
Maybe it’s… making a plan for how to integrate your pro-life beliefs into your job…. Whatever it is, just do it.

At ProLife365, Kevin Kukla gives his take on Pope Francis’ recent comments about being Catholic and having children “like rabbits.”

Pro-Life Action League’s Eric Scheidler is reaching out to abortion workers in an attention-grabbing way – by highlighting the criminality often involved in legalized abortion:

Today — the forty-second anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision — the Pro-Life Action League sent an special care package to every abortion clinic in the United States.

Inside: a picture of Naresh Patel, the Oklahoma abortionist arrested last month, along with a pair of plastic handcuffs and a signed note from me reading, “Could you be next? If you want to get out of the abortion business, give me a call.” I also included my cell phone number.

Pro-Life Wisconsin believes the much-discussed Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act – which was removed at the last minute on the eve of the March for Life – was deeply flawed in the first place.

ProWomanProLife posts a chilling video of assisted suicide – in about two minutes flat – in Belgium. Is it supposed to be comforting that a doctor can kill someone in a ten-minute house call?

Pro Life Blog Buzz for January 16, 2015

  from Jill Stanek.com

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli

40 Days for Life shares a compelling story from a woman who justified her work at Planned Parenthood as “I’m just the bookkeeper” until the day she received an invoice that pricked her heart:
“The invoice was to Planned Parenthood from the local morgue. It was for $350.” As she scanned the invoice to see what it was for, the reality of abortion hit her. She continued, “The service listed was in bold letters that pierced my heart: CREMATION SERVICE FOR 150 POUNDS OF MEDICAL WASTE…. [T]he question I had to ask myself as I stared at that invoice was what first got me involved in the pro-life movement. The question that pierced my heart was: How many babies have to be aborted to add up to 150 pounds of ash?”

Jivin Jehoshaphat adds a detail that we missed in our recent post about Arizona abortionist Gabrielle Goodrick – the fact that Goodrick is on probation for substance abuse:
The Washington Post has an article by Lydia DePillis which allows Arizona abortionist Gabrielle Goodrick to whine about how hard it is to be an abortionist in Arizona after the state legislature passed some pro-life laws.Likely unbeknownst to De Pillis is that Goodrick is currently on probation for substance abuse issues (she took Fentanyl at her office in 2010) and her clinic was the subject of one of Live Action’s undercover stings regarding sex-selection abortion….

After Abortion discusses the reported link between Depo-Provera and HIV risk. This is one type of birth control frequently marketed to teens by the abortion industry:
According to the research published in The Lancet of Infectious Diseases, women who used the injectable birth control depot medroxyprogesterone acetate (more commonly known as Depo-Provera) saw a moderately increased risk of becoming infected with HIV. Depo-Provera is generally injected every three months to help prevent pregnancy. The scientists also looked at HIV risk relative to other methods of hormonal contraception, including injectable norethisterone oenanthate (also known as NET-OEN), combined oral contraceptives and progestin-only pills.
Only the Depo-Provera seemed to increase the risk of contracting HIV, by roughly 40 percent compared to women using non-hormonal birth control or no birth control at all.

Abstinence Clearinghouse warns us of two new applications (Tinder and Whisper) that teens may use and parents needs to be wary of. Both can track a user’s location, which could open the door to pedophiles.

American Life League’s Judie Brown tells us about a woman who became pregnant as a result of rape is now fighting the rapist to keep custody of her child. Amazingly enough, there is no law to protect her. The organization Hope After Rape Conception was started by a victim of rape for the purpose of creating state and federal laws to protect rape victims from this very thing. Brown encourages all pro-life legislators to support this. This is the way to show true concern for the victims of rape rather than supporting abortion of the innocent child.

Bound4Life notes the interesting timing of the release of Kelly Clarkson’s “Heartbeat Song” (set to her preborn daughter’s actual heartbeat) and the two pro-life heartbeat bills being heard in federal appeals court regarding legislation in Arkansas and North Dakota:
“For these two events to unexpectedly happen at exactly the same time should make us all ponder for a moment,” says Matt Lockett, Executive Director of Bound4LIFE.

He continues, “For ‘Heartbeat Song’ to come along, set to the heartbeat of her baby in the womb, just as two important Heartbeat laws are being defended in court — it’s either an extraordinary coincidence or a confirmation. I take it as a great confirmation that God is drawing our attention to the sanctity of life in the womb.”

The Vine draws attention to the abortion industry’s attempts at normalizing abortion – in this case, by creating a play about it:
[T]he pro-aborts are attempting to make a dramatic production of abortion stories from women. No, seriously. Spawning from the “1 in 3 campaign” which claims 1 in 3 women will have an abortion, the newest attempt to normalize murdering your child will be a play, “Out of Silence,” that pro-aborts hope to show across the country. In an interview with Salon (because, of course) one of the pro-aborts behind the “Out of Silence” actually stated that “Some of it is very funny.”

ProLife365 gives six answers to the common pro-abortion argument that claims abortion is better than a child being raised in poverty.

Priests for Life’s Kevin Burke is excited about the introduction of The Shockwave Initiative, which “will reveal how abortion impacts not only the child, the Mom, and the Dad, but entire families, including grandparents and siblings” and so forth. The initiative will “present[] a vision and resources for communicating this in a new way to our churches, families and nation devastated by abortion loss.”

Secular Pro-Life comments on the amazing story of Martin Pistorius (pictured above), who was considered in a persistent vegetative state for over a decade but claims he was fully aware of everything going on around him: Mr. Pistorius’ story ends well, but I cannot begin to imagine what he went through.I can think of only one thing worse than hearing “I hope you die,” and that is hearing “We are withdrawing your hydration and nutrition.”
Mr. Pistorius is not the first person to be misdiagnosed as a hopeless case. But the fact that it took twelve years to obtain a correct diagnosis has disturbing implications — how many families have the strength to wait that long? How many doctors would be supportive for that long? How many would instead urge the family to “let go” and end their loved one’s life prematurely?

ProLifeBlogs links to a post from Life Site News noting that Obamacare is requiring colleges to provide birth control, sterilizations and abortion producing drugs to students and employees. This greatly expands the original, publicized intent of the law.

Life Training Institute shares an article from The Failed Atheist on the oft-heard saying regarding a pregnancy: “Just as long as it’s healthy.” Of course everyone wants a healthy baby, but what does the Christian faith say about loving those who have less than perfect health?
This is not a normal way to view ones children but part of a dehumanizing culture that has made an idol out of health and wellbeing. We have trouble understanding that someone who may be in poor health or have a disability can be happy, our assumption is that those things equal a sub-par human existence which is not necessarily true. You do not need to be a healthy human being to be a good, influential or heroic one….

Bound4Life gives an overview of Wednesday’s arguments “in the latest challenge to Texas’ so-called pro-life law of the century (passed as H.B. 2),” in which “a three-judge panel of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals heard the case Whole Woman’s Health v. Lakey.” What is good is that the health risks of abortion to women is a point of discussion.

The Vine shares some pro-life updates including the proposed legislative initiatives coming out of the new Congress of 2015.

40 Days for Life lists the many January pro-life events/marches happening so that you can attend and take a stand for life.

The Guiding Star Project discusses post-partum depression from a man’s perspective.

Live Action News lauds the good work of the 18 states Guttmacher currently rates as hostile to abortion. Is your state among them (pictured right; click to enlarge)? If not, what can you do to get your state this badge of honor in 2015?

Americans United for Life is still hard at work defending the conscience rights of Americans not to be forced under Obamacare to pay for life-ending drugs and devices:
While Congressional hearings look into admitted deceptions that made possible the passage of Obamacare, too little attention is being paid to the reality that the Obama Administration is doing everything it can to force unwilling, conscientious Americans to pay for drugs and devices that can end the lives of developing human beings,” said Dr. Yoest. “As a result, AUL has filed now 24 briefs to support pro-life Americans who are victims and potential victims of governmental abuse of power against the First Amendment conscience rights of Americans.”

Secular Pro-Life has discovered some interesting nuggets in Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report. For instance, PP hails the box office flop Obvious Child as a “major victory.” They also boast of an increased college campus presence, bringing them to over 200 chapters. However, there are more than 4 times as many pro-life college campus groups. SPL’s personal favorite is the fact that PP credits their own organization with preventing an extra 1,000 unplanned pregnancies even though they show a decrease in dispensing contraceptives.

Suzy B remembers the remarkable story of a premature baby who was saved by a freezer bag:
Baby Ellis was born at 24 weeks, when he could have been legally aborted. Instead, his parents and doctors fought to save him and he is now a “happy and cheeky” 1 year-old.

Wesley J. Smith points out that while Slate is publishing photos of babies just seconds out of the womb, there are “some very prominent bioethicists – past and present – certain… these littlest people are killable – either because they are denigrated as human “non-persons” or because they have terminal or seriously disabling conditions.”

Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust show how we can have a conversation with those in the “mushy middle” on abortion, eliminating the middle ground so that they truly choose a side.

Real Choice recalls the anniversary of Kermit Gosnell and his “House of Horrors.” The failure of the Pennsylvania Department of Health to investigate complaints was nothing short of a political move.

ProLifeBlogs links to The Black Kettle’s post that says 650 babies are euthanized yearly in the Netherlands.

Big Blue Wave expresses skepticism about the remote birth control device that is supposed to work for 16 years.

Culture Campaign comments on “nonprofit” Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report. Abortion numbers and taxpayer funding increased while contraceptive numbers decreased. Unsurprisingly, adoption referrals are scarce:
In its annual government-required report, Planned Parenthood indicated that it performed 327,653 abortions (that’s nearly 500 more children killed than the previous year), and served 147,210 fewer birth control customers while receiving an increase in taxpayer funding to $528.4 million (41% of Planned Parenthood’s total revenue). The report indicated that Planned Parenthood, which the government classifies as a “non-profit” organization, had an annual profit of $127.1 million. For the year, Planned Parenthood’s services to pregnant women were 94% abortions; abortions outnumbered adoption referrals by a factor of 174 to 1.

Euthanasia Prevention Coalition is pleased to announce that another “Dr. Death” has lost his license: Lawrence Egbert, a leader of the Final Exit Network, has lost his medical license in Maryland. After a two year review, the Maryland Board of Physicians revoked his medical license after deciding that Egbert’s actions were unethical and illegal. Egbert has said that he plans to appeal.
Expose Abortion shares a sobering quote about saline abortion (which shows the humanity of the preborn child) from former abortionist Paul Jarrett: This type of abortion was then done by hypertonic saline injection. In laymen’s terms this meant injecting a very caustic salt solution into the amniotic sac which the baby swallows, causing his death. Labor begins 12 – 36 hours later.

At Live Action News, Susan Michelle recounts the plethora of emails from pro-abortion professionals who think of 2014 as a bad year for abortion rights, and are fearful of what pro-lifers may do in 2015.

Kansans for Life is proud of the pro-life victories in their state in 2014. We offer our congratulations:
Pro-lifers can proudly claim credit for the fact that pro-life candidates won all of Kansas’ statewide offices, along with 94 of the 125 seats in the Kansas House of Representatives in the 2014 elections. Notably, pro-life stalwarts Governor Sam Brownback and U.S. Senator Pat Roberts won re-election over their radically pro-abortion challengers. As officially reported by the Kansas Department of Health & Environment, the number of Kansas abortions dropped to 7,485 in 2013, from 7,598 in 2012(2014 numbers aren’t available until March 2015). Many reasons can be attributed to the continued drop, including the improved availability of informed consent information online and increased utilization of pregnancy care centers statewide.

Wesley J. Smith discusses the latest culture of death idea. We’ve heard of “abortion doulas,” but what about death doulas? These individuals, according to two authors, would become “suicide facilitators” by “fill[ing] a gap between treatment doctors and hospice workers.”

Josh Brahm lists his top five posts of 2014.

Clinic Quotes features a grisly story about what contractors found when they renovated an old home that once belonged to an abortionist. Under an old examining table they found the “remains of two tiny babies floating in a preservative solution inside two dusty jars with screw-on lids.” A local TV station did an interview but referred to the babies as specimens and (interestingly) did not show them on camera.

At Live Action News, Cassy Fiano writes about abortion supporters who want abortion clinics to be aesthetically pleasing, but seem unconcerned about making sure the clinics actually meet safety standards:

Give us something pink and pretty, and we’ll ignore that [clinic owner Diane] Derzis had 76 pages’ worth of health code violations, the fact that one of her clinics was forcibly closed because she sent three patients to the hospital in one day, and that, for all intents and purposes, she’s operating an illegal abortion clinic. Derzis laughably said in an interview that she thanks God for her safe abortion, yet she does nothing at all to provide safe abortions for women who come to her for help.

But oh boy, is her clinic pretty! [pictured] …

Whole Woman’s Health has had multiple violations, including rusty instruments and expired medicine, but who cares? They’ve got herbal tea and recliners! The walls are decorated with inspirational quotes! Surely that tea and those pretty walls will make women feel better when they find out that an abortionist was poking around in their uterus with rusty equipment.

Fletcher Armstrong discusses the success of bringing the pro-life strategy to European countries, and the resulting response:
Neil Datta [is the] secretary of the European Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development (an abortion advocacy organization). Referencing an interview with Mr. Datta, Women’s eNews (a feminist online publication) wrote:

U.S. anti-abortion groups appear to be sharing their expertise with their European counterparts. Datta cites the example of the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform, based in Knoxville, Tenn., which ran a poster campaign that links photos of genocide and holocaust next to images of aborted fetuses. Countries, such as Slovakia and Poland, used a similar ad campaign to promote their agenda at the European Parliament and in public squares, said Datta.

Big Blue Wave is astonished at an anti-smoking ad being shown in Finland, which discusses the harm that smoking can bring to preborn children. This type of ad has been seen before in the U.S. and Canada, but I haven’t seen any in recent years:

Pro-life blog buzz 12-23-14

from Jill Stanek.com
by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli

ProLife365 has a humorous post on the benefits of having a large family.

Saynsumthn’s Blog reports on the pro-abortion Unitarian Church’s Alternative Gift List for 2014. Topping their list: Give to a center for abused children or perhaps donate to Planned Parenthood, the nation largest promoter and provider of abortions. Talk about the ultimate child abuse – death by dismemberment – and the ultimate in compartmentalization.

Right to Life of Michigan is deeply disappointed that a 20-hour, all night session to address over 100 bills in the state left two bills on coercive abortions to die without a vote being taken. They will have to be reintroduced next year.

Wesley J. Smith discusses two recent cases in which pregnant women – declared brain dead – are being kept artificially alive so they can deliver their babies by C-section. In one case in Milan, the family is in agreement to continue life support until the baby can be safely delivered, but in the other case in Ireland the family wants the pregnant woman and her child to be allowed to die. Smith writes:
Why the dripping disdain? Anger at Ireland’s anti-abortion laws is the pretext.
But is this case really about abortion? I understand the family can’t move on. That has got to be terribly painful. But how is the woman hurt in any way? Her life isn’t affected. She’s gone. Her body isn’t being harmed, but it is benefiting her child – just as she did before her brain failed. Should the same people think it wrong to try and save the baby in a mechanical incubator? I suspect so. Because, well, the baby should be dead.

Pro Life Blog Buzz for December 19, 2014

from Jill Stanek.com

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli
Bound4Life is praying for a pro-life start to 2015, and asks others to do the same as two important cases will come before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals:
Both Arkansas and North Dakota’s State Legislatures have passed laws defining life as when a baby’s heartbeat can be detected. Now the appeals court will consider if the laws, passed by majority vote, are considered constitutional.

The Leading Edge weighs in on the case of a New Zealand abortion provider who inserted an IUD without the consent of his patient. The woman was unaware of the IUD until three years later, when she was examined due to her difficulty becoming pregnant. Will there be an outcry from pro-choice advocates, as this woman was given no choice?

A Culture of Life also weighs in on the case, saying abortion is never truly safe – especially not if an abortionist can get away with performing surgery on a patient without permission:

If doctors are inserting IUDs without patient consent, what other dodgy practices are happening within New Zealand abortion facilities? What complications occur that we never hear about?

The FRC Blog encourages the mayor of Washington, D.C., to veto the bill that would force all employers to cover abortions:
Yesterday, the DC Council passed a bill called the “Reproductive Health Non-Discrimination Act of 2014,” which could force employers in the District of Columbia (including the Family Research Council) to cover abortions….Aside from this injustice, there are a number of legal problems with the bill. As pointed out by Alliance Defending Freedom, the bill would violate the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the Weldon Amendment, and the First Amendment protections of Free Speech, Free Exercise, and Freedom of Association.

ProLifeBlogs links to an Operation Rescue post on two emergency transports on the same day from Dr. Martin Haskell’s late-term abortion facility in Kettering, Ohio. On duty that day was Dr. Roslyn Kade (pictured right) who has no admitting privileges at any hospital. The facility also has no transfer agreement:

“The Ohio Department of Health should refuse to renew the facility license of Haskell’s Kettering abortion clinic for the same reasons it shut down his Sharonville operation,” said [Troy] Newman. “Women continue to suffer life-threatening abortion complications without the guarantee that they will receive adequate or timely treatment. Ohio authorities shouldn’t wait until someone dies before taking action to protect women.”

Pro-life blog buzz 12-16-14

from Jill Stanek.com

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli

ProLife NZ laments the story of a woman choosing abortion at 28 weeks gestation when she found out her child had a deformed left hand. She stated her decision to abort rested upon not wanting her child to be discriminated against due to this disability (oh, the irony). The media felt it unfortunate that the deformity was not identified earlier in pregnancy, as if that would have made the abortion more acceptable. (I wonder what would happen if children had the right to terminate less than perfect parents….)

Saynsumthn’s Blog shows that as always, Planned Parenthood brings a lack of tact to the holidays with PP of Maryland’s Sex Trivia: Holiday Edition “beauty” of a “grand prize” – a glitter-covered penis to (as PP puts it) “accompany your tree or menorah.” Yes, nothing says Christmas like a glittery phallus and some condom stocking stuffers.

Wesley J. Smith writes again about Jahi McMath, the young girl who was declared brain dead a year ago. Originally, Smith accepted McMath’s brain death diagnosis from three physicians, but a year has passed on a ventilator, and her body has not deteriorated. He now believes there is cause for concern and thinks that the scientific community should be open to investigating the case again given the possibility that they were wrong:
The unprecedented nature of a brain dead person recovering function – which may have happened with Jahi – makes this a very important case. If she has come back, that opens a whole new area of scientific inquiry. From that perspective alone, why fight taking a thorough new look to see if it happened?I strongly believe this case needs to be reopened – for Jahi, for her family, for the integrity of the system, and for the good of science. The harder the “establishment” resists, the more I think their objections are ideological, reflecting deep concerns about how a finding that she is alive would rock their world.
They are right: It would. But that’s no reason to force her to remain among the dead if that is not where she belongs.

At The Vine, Breeanne Howe offers some suggestions for pro-life gift-giving this holiday season.

Pro-Life in TN comments on a recent traffic stop involving two Muslim men who were transporting the remains of a miscarried baby at 15 weeks for proper burial. Media reports used changing verbiage to describe the child – son, child, baby – with one outlet finally changing the term to “fetus” once the circumstances of the child’s death were clarified.

Women’s Rights Without Frontiers gives us good news this Christmas season:

On International Human Rights Day… Anni and Ruli Zhang have been granted political asylum in the United States. Detained overnight as a 10-year-old, Anni is known as “China’s youngest prisoner of conscience.” She and her older sister, Ruli, are the daughters of veteran activist Zhang Lin, who is currently serving a three-and-a-half year jail sentence for standing up for Anni’s right to go to school. With the help of brave activists in China and the U.S., WRWF President Reggie Littlejohn was able to secure safe passage to the U.S. for the girls. She and her husband Robert have taken the girls into their home and are raising them as their own daughters.

Secular Pro-Life is calling on students to help with Students for Life’s Pregnant On Campus Initiative. College students are at the highest risk for abortions:
Students for Life of America (SFLA)… launched PregnantOnCampus.org. The aim of the site is to provide local, campus-specific information for students at hundreds of schools across the nation. It will also allow for a greater degree of continuity, so that students don’t have to worry about website maintenance after they graduate.
SFLA is counting on pro-life students to crowdsource the information. Right now, because the site is brand new, most of the campus pages contain only generic information about nationwide resources (e.g., the WIC program). To really make PregnantOnCampus shine, SFLA needs you to step up and submit information about local resources that can help mothers at your school.

Pro-life blog buzz 10-10-14

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli

ProLifeBlogs shares a post from After Abortion detailing the death of an Italian woman from RU-486, which was administered in a hospital. This is the first known death in Italy due to the chemical abortion pill.

Operation Rescue announces that eight New Jersey abortion clinics are set to be closed, thanks to the NJ State Board of Medical Examiners’ revocation of abortionist Steven Chase Brigham’s medical license. The raid on his abortion mill revealed the remains of 35 late-term aborted children stored in his freezer:
In addition to his most recent revocation in New Jersey, Brigham has had licenses revoked or surrendered in New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, and California.“If Brigham is not fit to practice in five states, he isn’t fit to practice anywhere,” said [OR's Troy] Newman. “We are now calling on Virginia, Florida, and Delaware to immediately shut down Brigham’s abortion facilities in those states based on the findings of the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners, which found that Brigham’s deceptive and fraudulent practices, which are being replicated at every abortion facility he owns, pose a danger to the public.”
It should be noted that Brigham, a man who stored the dead bodies of children in his freezer, blames pro-lifers for his woes. Late-term abortionists like Brigham are considered heroes among abortion advocates.

At New Wave Feminists, Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa shares a poster that makes a great point about bodily autonomy (left; click to enlarge).

Bound4Life has a collection of encouraging videos on the sanctity of human life from the recent 2014 Values Voters Summit. These bold messages are sorely needed to be heard by all.

At USA Today, Charmaine Yoest of Americans United for Life has a great op-ed responding to pro-choicers who argue that certain safety standards for abortion clinics just aren’t necessary:

The story of Karnamaya [Mongar]‘s death [at Kermit Gosnell's clinic] defies imagination. When she was found unresponsive after her abortion, emergency responders struggled through narrow hallways barely able to maneuver a stretcher.
The grand jury that indicted Gosnell for manslaughter noted in its report that Karnamaya’s “slim chances of survival were seriously hampered because it was exceedingly difficult for responders to get her to the waiting ambulance.” Twenty minutes of precious life-saving time was lost….
Clinics claim that they should be allowed to self-regulate and self-police, unlike any other provider of a medical procedure. They want to continue being regulated even less than nail salons. With great outrage, they claim that heath and safety standards such as outpatient clinic regulations are too “burdensome.”
Which ones in particular? Hallway widths.Health and safety standards close no clinics. Abortionists close clinics when they refuse to fully protect women and refuse to comply with laws that other facilities follow.

Pro-Life in TN is alarmed at the media’s love affair with death by assisted suicide, which some doctors are saying should be “safe, legal, and rare” (sound familiar?). The latest person to romanticize assisted suicide is a terminally ill young woman who plans to die on November 1st in Oregon:
[Brittany] Maynard [pictured above] is using her last days to help for others in similar situations, volunteering for Compassion & Choices, an advocacy organization for terminally-ill patients in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Jersey. She has launched the Brittany Maynard Fund to fight for death-with-dignity laws in other states. Later this month, she plans to videotape a testimony for California lawmakers and voters….
Five states have already legalized assisted suicide (or the prettier name, “death with dignity”) and bills are pending in seven other states. In Maynard, the media seems to have found their face and sound bites to further promote this aspect of the culture of death.

Suzy B says NARAL has launched attack ads against the SBA List, which insinuate that the pro-life organization is no better than a molester:
Why is NARAL unleashing this disgusting attack on the SBA List and its members?
Because they know they cannot win the debate over whether painful, brutal late-term abortions should be allowed in America. They can’t attack our message, so instead they are attacking the messenger.
Wesley J. Smith is stunned to report that “two internationally respected neurologists conclude that Jahi McMath isn’t brain dead, and the Stanford court appointed independent expert isn’t even curious to see what is going on?” Videos showing her responding to requests to move her hands and feet do not appear to arouse their curiosity to order more tests. Smith writes:
Here’s my bottom line as one who believed she was dead last year:
- Maintaining trust in the integrity of the system, alone warrants a second look.
- So does the interest of science, because we may have witnesses an unprecedented event in brain death science.
- So does the potential future of a little girl.
… If this were a death penalty case, the level of evidence presented would create sufficient doubt to justify a reopen because the case involves life and death. If we can do that for a murderer, surely we can for an innocent and potentially alive little girl.

Pro-life blog buzz 10-7-14

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli

Culture Campaign reports that Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring has ruled that Planned Parenthood and other health professionals will no longer be obligated to report statutory rape except when the perpetrator is believed to be the girl’s parent or legal guardian. For those who thought that electing this man along with Clinton crony Terry McAuliffe as VA’s governor was a “pro-woman” idea, you are seeing the fruits of your labor: no one will be expected to help these children. CC quotes the Washington Free Beacon:
“It is my opinion that a Virginia Department of Health (VDH) licensing inspector who is a nurse and who, during the course of a hospital inspection, learns from the review of a medical record that a 14-year-old girl received services related to her pregnancy is not required to make a report of child abuse and neglect pursuant to Virginia Code § 63.2-1509 unless there is reason to suspect that a parent or other person responsible for the child’s care committed, or allowed to be committed, the unlawful sexual act upon the child,” Democrat Mark Herring’s September 12 opinion said.
“It is also my opinion that the VDH licensing inspector is not required to make a report to law enforcement of the crime of carnal knowledge of a child between the ages of 13 and 15.”
Herring includes “prenatal or abortion services” among the signs of potential rape that he said do not have to be reported to law enforcement.

This is really unprecedented and disturbing.

At Coming Home, Dr. Gerard Nadal gives his take on the white lesbian couple who is suing for the wrongful birth of their mixed-race daughter, who was born as the result of a mix-up at a sperm bank:
For a mother so ostensibly concerned with her daughter being picked on by racist family, tortured by racist classmates and neighbors, failed culturally by her mother, she has chosen to label the little girl a mistake, a wrongful birth, a human who never should have been. All because of a little extra melanin and some different hair.
For all their talk of tolerance, and openness, and inclusivity, and compassion, it isn’t unreasonable to expect gays and lesbians to put their money where their collective mouth is. One would expect a lesbian couple, of all people, to abhor the notion of “wrongful birth,” claiming a genetic etiology for their own orientation as they do.
Pity the child born to such poverty and bigotry
.

Two weeks into the 40 Days for Life campaign, and already babies (and parents) are being spared from abortion. In Tennessee, which currently does not have an informed consent law, a couple walked out of the Memphis Planned Parenthood and took advantage of a mobile ultrasound unit to view their preborn baby. They chose not to abort. Don’t women deserve all the information before making the decision to abort? Currently Planned Parenthood is fighting hard against an amendment that would overturn the state Supreme Court’s 2000 decision and allow women the opportunity to be fully informed once again.

At Bound4Life, Ellie Saul says she discovered a supposedly “pro-girl” campaign fundraiser for Girls Inc., launched by Jane.com, a shopping website. Girls Inc. is reported to be a supporter of abortion, and according to their web page, those Teavana Oprah Chai drinks from Starbucks are also providing funding for this organization.

American Life League’s Judie Brown expresses disappointment with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) for recommending long-term IUDs for teens:
… [W]hy is the AAP suddenly suggesting that the birth control pill can be bad for adolescents but an implant or an IUD can be better? The answer provided by the lead author of the policy statement is this:
IUDs and hormonal implants cost more, usually hundreds of dollars, because inserting them involves a medical procedure typically done in doctors’ offices. But they’re less expensive in the long run than over-the-counter condoms or prescription birth control pills, said Dr. Mary Ott, an adolescent medicine specialist and associate pediatrics professor at Indiana University….

Teens have to remember to use pills and condoms consistently. By contrast, IUDs typically work for three to 10 years after insertion, while implants typically last three years.

This arrogant cynicism about young people raises that old argument about kids to a new level. You know the one: How can we trust a kid to take the pill regularly when she cannot even clean her room?…
Sadly the most serious problem with this latest policy statement from the American Academy of Pediatrics is that it implies that young people cannot learn self-control and therefore should be treated like the family dog.

Pro-life blog buzz 10-3-14

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli

Life Issues says the deep, dark secret of the health industry is the “hastening of death” through euthanasia thanks to a lucrative market for organ harvesting:
The difficulty of making a pinpoint diagnosis in such complex neurological matters — and the lucrative financial incentives to harvest organs — will ultimately propel this issue into the forefront of public consciousness and discourse.
Not surprisingly, the current procurement market for human tissues and organs in the United States is booming, driven by insufficient supply and heavy demand. According to The Milliman Report (see page 4), if all 11 tissues and organs could be harvested from a single patient declared brain-dead, however unlikely, the going rate for procurement would exceed half a million dollars. If all costs related to those 11 transplants are counted — preparation, physicians’ services, post-op care and the like — the money involved exceeds $5.5 million.
Life Issues is asking for help from health professionals in drawing attention to this.

Wesley J. Smith says the mother of Jahi McMath (the little girl declared brain dead 10 months ago; pictured left) has petitioned for the case to be reopened so her daughter can be declared alive:
Here is the gist: Petitioner [Jahi's mother] is in possession of current evidence, including MRI evidence of the integrity of the brain structure, electrical activity in her brain as demonstrated by EEG, the onset of menarche… and her response to audible commands… demonstrating that Jahi McMath’s brain death was not “irreversible.”
Pro-Life Action League’s Eric Scheidler, father of six girls, takes strong exception to the American Academy of Pediatrics’ recommendation “that physicians promote the progestin implant and the intrauterine device (IUD) for teen girls.” Four of his objections: It would interfere with the role of parents, weaken the decision to abstain from sex, set a double standard, and ignore the abortifacient potential of the implant.
Right to Life of Michigan honors the 38th anniversary of the Hyde Amendment, which is responsible for saving many lives:
If ending tax funded abortions in Michigan saved 10,000 lives in one year, imagine how many lives 38 years of the Hyde Amendment (which effects the whole nation) has saved. Today is a day to celebrate the millions of lives saved by the Hyde Amendment and continue in our efforts to uphold the sanctity of human life.
At Priests for Life, Fr. Frank Pavone mourns the death of pro-life warrior Sandra Cano (pictured
right) – “Doe” of Doe v. Bolton, the companion decision to Roe v. Wade:
Father Pavone said: “Sandra’s work to overturn that devastating decision that was based on lies will not end with her death. When life ultimately triumphs over death, Sandra will share in that victory.”
When Sandra Cano approached attorneys for help, she understood her case as an effort to obtain a divorce and regain custody of her children. She was pregnant, and her attorney, in partnership with her mother, arranged an abortion for Sandra at Georgia Baptist Hospital. When she found out about the plan, she fled to Oklahoma and never had the abortion.
Interestingly enough, neither Roe (Norma McCorvey) or Doe (Cano) had abortions.

The Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform shares Justina Van Maren’s reflections on how her summer internship experience with CCBR changed her perspective on pro-life work.

ProWomanProLife features a video in which The Blaze’s Dana Loesch interviews the Gosnell movie screenwriter, Andrew Klavan. Klavan shares that he used to be pro-choice but became pro-life after losing an argument to a Catholic friend. Click below to watch:

Pro-life blog buzz 9-23-14

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli
A Culture of Life says another study from India – that makes 12 now, from that nation alone – shows a “very strong link between abortion between abortion and breast cancer:
The average “odds ratio” of developing breast cancer in each of the studies was at least 1. But the average “odds ratio” for all 12 studies came out at 5.54. [Steven] Mosher [of the Population Research Institute] explains that this means a woman has “a 554% increased risk of developing breast cancer” if she has had an induced abortion….
Mosher points out that India is a great place to do this sort of study as the women “marry early, do not use the pill, have multiple pregnancies, and breastfeed their babies. In other words, all of the other major risk factors for breast cancer are… absent.”

Expose Abortion has this chilling quote from the testimony of Steven Massof at the Kermit Gosnell trial in 2013:
Q. And of the babies where you saw expelled from the mother with the chest movement indicating heartbeat, what would be done to them?
A. We’d sever the spine, snip the neck.

At Bound4Life, Christina shares the events through which God led her into the pro-life movement. Not only that, but the words of one person in the right place at the right time saved her life:

During my last years of college I’d become increasingly pro-life. After over 20 years of silence, my mother confessed to attempting to abort me. She paid for the procedure, but walked out of the hospital when a janitor told her God would give her the strength to carry me. -
Also at Bound4Life, Josh Shepherd writes about the shift in our culture toward life, which is reflected in not only public polling, but in the Supreme Court:
Gallup polling clearly indicates how the abortion issue has shifted in recent years. Americans increasingly identify as pro-life — with a large majority of 71% favoring at least some restrictions on abortion.
Furthermore, leaders elected at the state level in recent years are following through on their promises to uphold and strengthen a culture of life. As Vox notes, ”States enacted 205 abortion restrictions between 2010 and 2013, more than the total number passed in the prior decade.”
These indicators of cultural shift partly explain what few have considered — the last five times the Supreme Court considered abortion policy, it ruled in favor of life.
At Life Training Institute, Clinton Wilcox responds to Brandon Christen, a pro-choice atheist who “argues from logic and philosophy instead of the usual fare you get from sites like Salon or RH Reality Check“:
Christen begins his article by talking about the seeming stark divide among religious lines regarding the abortion issue — that the religious are pro-life and atheists are pro-choice. But if you look deeper into this, you’ll realize this isn’t really the case. While it may be true that the religious are more likely to be pro-life and atheists are more likely to be pro-choice, there are certainly pro-choice religious people and pro-life atheists. In fact, as Bernard Nathanson talked about in his book Aborting America, abortion was initially disguised as a religious issue by the pro-choice lobby to help get abortion legalized in the United States. Abortion, itself, is inherently not a religious/non-religious issue, just like the slavery issue wasn’t.

Live Action News takes on Cosmopolitan for their decision to launch #CosmoVotes in an effort to endorse pro-abortion political candidates. Pro-life candidates need not apply:

Among X-rated sex tips, Fifty Shades BDSM  pieces, fluff articles and celebrity gossip, the publication is now endorsing political candidates based on their support for abortion…. According to Cosmopolitan, midterm candidates are carefully selected based on what is “best for women.”

Among endorsements for skin creams and hair styles are promotional pieces favoring candidates such as Colorado Democrat Mark Udall, Senator Kay Hagan of North Carolina, and Florida hopeful Gwen Graham. Cosmopolitan looks no further than a candidate’s support for abortion to make a political endorsement….
While Cosmopolitan… claim[s] to represent women, the groups truly do women a disservice. The propaganda promoted by these media giants reduce women down to mere individuals whose only wishes are abortion and birth control on demand. Women are coerced into believing that abortion is a requirement for success, and that dangerous hormonal contraceptives — labeled as a Group One carcinogen by the World Health Organization— are necessary in order for women to achieve their career and life goals.
Women deserve better.
