This is what came to mind when I read this column by Cal Thomas stating that Sarah Palin is owed an apology by the MSM who mocked her....and now are stating to break the news of the death panel that they laughed at.

On the contrary, this change in policy to offer end-of-life counselling ensure to annual visits ensures just the opposite - that one's wishes are known in the event that they are no longer capable of making and communication their personal wishes.

Imagine what this might have meant for the poster child Terri Shiavo?
