Trig Palin's birthday:Wonkette author tries to apologize for classless post after readers and advertisers shun him...

Update: Original post was deleted due to onslaught of  advertisers deserted the site and comments continue to condemn. They are still trying to justify the post but have removed it.

After reading the Quote of the Day at Jill Stanek.com I had to go over to Wonkette and see that stuff for myself. Weird writing... to appeal to the hard left and/or those on pot early in the AM. Cruel jokes and of course they hate Palin. But one article contained this telling line. Wow, these people are sick and mean.

"See? Sarah Palin had to have had the baby, because she was really old and therefore knew having one would give her a Down-syndrome prop. Jackpot!"
But the article referenced by Jill Stanek was so over  the top classless  that even the faithful were offended...
"My God, what in the name of decency were you thinking in posting this column? Can your life be so shallow and your integrity so brittle that you would take it upon yourself to demean a developmentally challenged child for political kicks? Your website has been deleted from my Favourites list."

The author was so taken to task by his readers and also the advertisers dropping out that he was forced to give a half hearted apology.
"UPDATE: I regret this post and using the word “retarded” in a reference to Sarah Palin’s child. It’s not nice, and is not necessary, but I take responsibility for writing it. For those who came and are offended by this post: I’m sorry, of course. But I stand by my criticism of Sarah Palin using her child as a political prop.
–Jack Stuef"
I  would say to the reader that Wonkette is not worthy of your favorites list and making fun of children with any special needs is not funny even to Wonkette fans....hey, why are you so angry with Sarah for being a mom and not aborting him. Your anger is telling...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRIG...WE ARE GLAD YOU ARE WITH US.

NOW: forced to condemn Maher for sexist Palin joke... a waste of our time, they are busy defending abortion.....

You can only be defended by NOW if you support abortion. Alleged comedian Bill Maher attempts a  joke about Sarah Palin that is clearly sexist but when Fox News contacted National Organization for Women (NOW)  for  comment, they refused  stating they have a policy not to talk to Fox News. Now that's grown up!  After pressure, they finally released a statement showing their linguistic talent.
"Listen, supposedly progressive men (ok, and women, too): Cut the crap! Stop degrading women with whom you disagree and/or don’t like by using female body terms or other gender-associated slurs."
Clearly annoyed that they were called on  the carpet over this they had to send their parting shot to those nasty conservatives...
“You’re trying to take up our time getting us to defend your friend, Sarah Palin. If you keep us busy defending her, we have less time to defend women’s bodies from the onslaught of reproductive rights attacks and other threats to our freedom, safety, livelihood, etc,” wrote Bennett. “Sorry, but we can’t defend Palin or even Hillary Clinton from every sexist insult hurled at them in the media. That task would be impossible, and it would consume us. You know this would not be a productive way to fight for women’s equal rights, which is why you want us stuck in this morass."
So hard to be defending women of all political persuasions and  OMG imagine  having to give a comment to a network you despise. They should just change their name to National Organization for Abortions Supporting Women(NOASW). Then they would not have to waste  their time trying to defend those of like gender they despise .

Pro life Sarah makes them crazy. She must be destroyed!!

Too funny....I used to wonder why they hate her so much. It is because they fear her and most of all because she is pro life. YIKES!!!!
But commenter Gordon summed it up well....
:Leftists HATE Palin.Good for Steyn for publishing a cartoon which embodies everything the pinksters especially leftist women hate about her.She truly is a self-made woman who bears children, doesn't abort and can dress an elk and is one good lookin' Mama.
Lefty men hate her because she could probably beat them in an arm wrestle  and the women hate her because she exudes femininity, wholesome sex appeal, uses a gun like the tool it is, and the fact that they consider her a traitor to their immoral sacred cows. But ESPECIALLY that "she could rock a suit like that and they NEVER could..."

Palin and death panels...First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”

This is what came to mind when I read this column by Cal Thomas stating that Sarah Palin is owed an apology by the MSM who mocked her....and now are stating to break the news of the death panel that they laughed at.

Her enemies show she is doing something right...

You have to love Sarah...when you look at who hates her.....she sure is doing something right. Yup, those grizzles in the video are for wiping out their grandchildren. And by the way, their costumes look like they came from a garage sale. For those who don't know Emily's list is dedicated to electing abortion minded pols.

I've recently come under attack for speaking up for sisters who seek to serve in public office.... First, ladies, it's hard to take a critic seriously when they lecture you wearing a bear suit. So, it's difficult for me to drum up much outrage at this latest [EMILY's List] ad. But, really, lying about a sister while wearing an Ewok outfit is no way to honor our foremothers on the eve of the 90th anniversary of their victory....
But, that aside, I'd love to know where you got those get-ups. Halloween is just around the corner, and Piper and Trig would look adorable as little grizzly bears....Palin

"Family Guy" actor Warburton takes Sarah Palin's point

UPDATE:
Not everyone who works on Fox animated sitcom "Family Guy" is standing in solidarity with its Valentine's Day episode's Sarah Palin gag.
Cast member Patrick Warburton told TV critics Wednesday he objected to the joke.
"I know it's satire but, personally, that [joke] bothered me too," Warburton said on a conference call to promote his other primetime show, CBS's sitcom "Rules of Engagement," which returns for a fourth season on March 1. (On "Family Guy" Warburton does the voice of the wheelchair-bound police officer, Joe.)
"I know that you have to be an equal-opportunity offender, but there are some things that I just don't think are funny."

How did average Americans react to Family Guy mocking Down Syndrom and Palin

The folks' reaction to the Palin/Family Guy dust-up From the OReilly Factor" The animated program "Family Guy" mocked Sarah Palin by using a character with Down Syndrome. The Factor asked pollster Frank Luntz to wire up a group of voters and show them the episode in question. "The reaction we got was shocking," Luntz said. "Democrats have a reputation for being more 'compassionate,' but they didn't find that offensive and the Republicans did. Where's the compassion? The demonization of Sarah Palin has worked."

Why shouldn't she respond?? Trig is off limits periodsays Sarah

February 16, 2010
 Responding to everything !!!
Ben Smith
Politico
Picture from Boston.com

Politico kind of mocks here for responding to this latest attack but why shouldn't she respond when they attack her children especially mocking her special needs child. What mother wouldn't? When is enough enough!!

The bawdy Fox cartoon "Family Guy" features a mentally disabled girl whose mother is governor of Alaska, and Palin, naturally, responds:
People are asking me to comment on yesterday’s Fox show that felt like another kick in the gut. Bristol was one who asked what I thought of the show that mocked her baby brother, Trig (and/or others with special needs), in an episode yesterday. Instead of answering, I asked her what she thought. Here is her conscientious reply, which is a much more restrained and gracious statement than I want to make about an issue that begs the question, “when is enough enough?”:

“When you’re the son or daughter of a public figure, you have to develop thick skin. My siblings and I all have that, but insults directed at our youngest brother hurt too much for us to remain silent. People with special needs face challenges that many of us will never confront, and yet they are some of the kindest and most loving people you’ll ever meet. Their lives are difficult enough as it is, so why would anyone want to make their lives more difficult by mocking them? As a culture, shouldn’t we be more compassionate to innocent people – especially those who are less fortunate? Shouldn’t we be willing to say that some things just are not funny? Are there any limits to what some people will do or say in regards to my little brother or others in the special needs community? If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed. All they proved is that they’re heartless jerks. - Bristol Palin”

Palin Vs. NOW

Palin vs. NOW

Tim Tebow is the home schooled college quarterback who uses the eye black to list biblical quotes. He was born in 1987 after his mother refused to get an abortion even though she was told he likely would be stillborn.

Nice story that seems to gnaw at the pro-abortion crowd.

So an anti-abortion group passed the plate around and collected enough money so that Tebow and his mom could tell their story in a Super Bowl ad.

Pro-abortion groups lobbied CBS to get it to refuse the ad. CBS said get bent.

Sarah Palin weighed in.

From her Facebook: NOW is looking at the pro-life issue backwards. Women should be reminded that they are strong enough and smart enough to make decisions that allow for career and educational opportunities while still giving their babies a chance at life. In my own home, my daughter Bristol has also been challenged by pro-abortion “women’s rights” groups who don’t agree with her decision to have her baby, nor do they like the abstinence message which she articulated as her personal commitment. NOW could gain ground and credibility with everyday Americans, thus allowing their pro-women message to be heard by more than just their ardent supporters, if they made wiser decisions regarding which battles to pick. They should call attention to and embrace the Tebows’ message, instead of covertly and overtly disrespecting what Mrs. Tebow, Bristol, and millions of other women have chosen to do (in less than ideal circumstances).”
NOW President Terry O’Neill fired back: “The goal of the Focus on the Family ad is not to empower women. It’s to create a climate in which Roe v. Wade can be overturned. There are always going to be women who need abortions. In this country, one in three women will have an abortion. Focus on the Family has cynically set it up so they can say anyone who disagrees with airing this ad is disrespecting one woman and her choice. NOW respects every woman’s right to plan her own family and insists our laws do the same.”

Sarah Palin makes a statement AGAIN

story from National Catholic Register
by Danielle Bean Friday, January 15, 2010

Well, this is bound to stick in someone’s craw. Pretty much everything Sarah Palin does seems to, so it might as well be a bold pro-life statement that gets her into trouble this time.

She and daughter Bristol are featured on the cover of the latest issue of In Touch Weekly which hits news stands today. I like the simplicity of the mother-daughter message:

“We’re Glad We Chose Life.”
