Channel 17...Nashville....PP provides services to expectant parents!!! REALLY??

Okay, I read this part about the only TV station covering this was Channel 17 which does not surprise me but the last line about PP provides services to expectant parents!!!!! Come on..... I looked up  the website for Channel 17 and could not find the video anywhere. I searched and searched but not up yet.  I am sure you know that PP does not do prenatal care.  One legislator asked them that once and there response was we give a sample of prenatal vitamins to them. That is prenatal care!!! Look at the pics...this is the kind of prenatal care they give.....so interesting that the National Broadcasters Religious Convention is being held there. This is where they usually hold it but now that they are informed...will they continue????

CAP signs on display at Marriott Opryland Hotel & Convention Center.

The Corporate Accountability Project (CAP) at Marriott/Opryland was a huge success on Day 1. Our team of volunteers displayed signs for about 6 hours, as scheduled, from about noon until dark. They were very enthusiastic about the experience, and most promised to return again to help as the picketing continues over the next 4 days.

We reached thousands of people, especially those lined up at the traffic light, waiting to turn left into the Opryland complex. Several people in the turn lane took pictures as they waited for the light to change. Friday is a huge day, because so many people arrive for their weekend stays. In this case, people were also arriving for the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Convention.

We got many thumbs-up from passersby, but only one or two “flying buzzards.” (The difference between thumbs-up and the other finger is what we call the “digital divide.”)

Our presence was covered by WZTV-17, the local Fox affiliate. Their concluding remark was the biggest laugh-line of the day (if you are into macabre humor); they identified Planned Parenthood as an agency that “provides services to expectant parents.” Who writes this stuff? (Oh, yeah, Planned Parenthood writes it.)

CAP signs were visible to thousands of motorists entering and passing the Marriott Opryland Hotel & Convention Center.

Liberty University bans pro life graphic images (GAP)

Why are church schools the toughest customers to the pro life message. It is a shame. Certainly they know  that Christians do get abortions and need to be educated.  Liberty University in VA at first was going to allow GAP but then backed out. GAP then took their message to the public sidewalks outside the university.

Knoxville:Framing Choice | Pro-lifers promote Planned Parenthood event.

Never shy, Fletcher Armstrong uses any and all opportunities to showcase what Planned Parenthood is all about...abortion.

So when Planned Parenthood, who is working hard to re brand themselves in his hometown of Knoxville with a " This is what choice means to me" outdoor educational event, he answers their call for help.He shows up with his graphic pictures of "Choice"   to show what choice looks like from the viewpoint of the victim.

Drats...hate it when the truth intervenes with the agenda.

"A dozen of us stood in a semi-circle facing the stage, surrounded on both sides of the Square by diners enjoying a First Friday meal at the many restaurants. Since we were toward the front of the Square and not facing them, the diners appeared to pay little heed. Two of our party stood with their backs to the stage holding a long banner, announcing to those entering the Square from the opposite direction, “Planned Parenthood: the Largest Abortion Provider in the USA.” I think PP should be glad we were there to announce it was a PP event, for they had no signage of their own. No banner proudly heralding their name, no bold identifier … just a humble grey tri-fold display board with the PP logo at the bottom. A few people wandered through the exhibit, never realizing it was a PP event. Why so shy? How popular is that brand, anyway?"
"...All in all, I hope PP appreciated our taking the opportunity to “share in that experience.” Anytime they need a banner to herald their name, we’ll be glad to bring one."

Daily Beacon calls GAP project ineffective in Knoxville....tell that to the lives saved as a result of this education

This critical opinion piece from the Daily Beacon in Knoxville. I used to be critical of this approach myself but have softened my opinion. Is the truth in poor taste? Sometimes the truth is offensive but sometimes we need to be offended. I know of lives that were saved because of this in your face education. Women who saw the photos and recognized the humanity of the pre born. One photo they show is of a baby that was saved from abortion because of this display and made an adoption plan. Is it worth it to save just one life. How valuable is life anyway? If it offends many but saves one life? What do you think?

The GAP Project (the Genocide Awareness Project) recently posted enormous pictures of dead fetuses, Holocaust victims and breasts undergoing brutal augmentation, among other graphic pictorials, in an effort to raise awareness on the perceived severity of abortion in the United States.
Whether or not you agree with the political stance of the GAP Project, everyone can certainly agree on one central aspect of this matter: The pictures are largely ineffective when placed in the context of goals to be achieved.

Pro Life in Knoxville | Witness against Planned Parenthood

Fletcher Armstrong.com posts this report.
"Choice" signs on display at Market Square. Last week, the Pro-Life Coalition of East Tennessee (ProCET) organized a protest at a Planned Parenthood (PP) fundraiser in Knoxville. About 30 people came to peacefully witness against baby killing. The Tomato Head restaurant was closed to everyone but PP, and probably 20 or 30 people attended their event. It was mostly an older crowd. Our ProCET group was much more diverse, ranging in age from 7 to 70. A few of us held the CBR “Choice” signs, and passersby studied them very intently. Several people thanked us for being there, which we appreciated. One man, probably in his mid to late 30’s, told us that many years ago he had gotten a girl pregnant. She had aborted without his consent. It was devastating; he even ended up on the streets for a while. He still misses that child. He said he was grateful for our presence and he and his friend encouraged us to “Keep it up!” Protesting Planned Parenthood at Market Square We are very grateful to Paul Simoneau and Lisa Morris of ProCET for organizing this and many other pro-life efforts in Knoxville.

Pro-Life Students Face Possible Expulsion From University of Calgary

Juxtapose this with the silence of the Church and I stand in admiration of these students. Pray for them.  Suport them....

CALGARY- The University of Calgary has notified eight of its own students that they are being charged with non-academic misconduct, with a possibility of expulsion, for having set up a pro-life display on campus earlier this month.
Campus Pro-Life (CPL) Club President Leah Hallman stated, “We understand the severity of the charges, but our consciences could not contemplate silence, therefore we must stand by our convictions to fight for the lives of unborn children.”

The group’s Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) display has been held on the University of Calgary grounds without incident eight times since 2006. The GAP display compares abortion to past historical atrocities, such as the Rwandan genocide and the Holocaust in Nazi Germany.
They failed to convince the crown that we were trespassing on our own campus last year so now they want to charge us with ‘non-academic misconduct’ for exercising our right to express our views,” said Peter Csillag, CPL’s Vice-president. “We condemn and will challenge these charges, as we have with all previous attempts at censoring and intimidating us.”

In 2009, the University charged six students with trespassing in relation to the display, but the crown prosecutor stayed these charges prior to a trial scheduled for November of 2009. The University has threatened participating students with non-academic misconduct charges on the occasion of each display, but this is the first time they are following through with their threat.
“Quite frankly, I can’t help but feel like we’re living parts of the novel One Day In The Life of Ivan Denisovich,” stated Vice-president Cameron Wilson, “it feels almost surreal that we still have to fight this battle on our own campus.”
Campus Pro-Life will be holding a press conference at 10:00am on Monday, April 19th, 2010 outside of the MacKimmie Library Building on the University of Calgary campus to make a formal statement and answer questions pertaining to new developments.

For further information, contact CPL Club President Leah Hallman at (403) 808-3412, Vice-president (external) Cameron Wilson at (403) 668-9624, or lawyer John Carpay of the Canadian Constitution Foundation at (403) 619-8014.
