Chinese demographics suffer under one child policy....

I heard this on NPR...Chinese officials are getting some public criticism of their forced abortion and one child policy that targets females from inside their own country.

Although there were some mild complaints about human rights issue most of the concerns centered around the demographics and what this means economically not to mention the absence of girls as prospective brides and mothers to future generations. Why don't we get it....as an ad used to say...don't mess with Mother Nature!
"But Wang says the problem now isn't that Chinese couples are having too many kids, it's that they're having too few. Last year, census results showed what demographers had long suspected: the fertility rate is very low.

As the population ages, health care costs are expected to soar. With couples having fewer kids, there will be far fewer workers to pay for that health care.
"I think the harm has already been done," says Wang. "So even if China stopped the one-child policy tomorrow, this new birth would not become adult labor until 20 years from now."
However some conscience pricking is going on especially after the alternative media exposed the forced late term abortion of the daughter of Deng Jiyuan and Feng Jianmei when they failed to cough up $6,000 fine for having a second child.

"Family planning workers are aware of the research, but must enforce the rules. Some are riddled with guilt. Zhang Erli used to work as a high-ranking official with China's National Population and Family Planning Commission.
Last month, he made an extraordinary, tearful apology on TV to the millions of women who have had to end their pregnancies because of the policy."

Chen Guangcheng to President Obama: “Get Our Whole Family Out.” | Womens Rights Without Frontiers

So if you want to know what is really happening, this website has been advocating for Chen for months...
How embarrassing this is for the most pro abortion President and Secretary of State to have to decide if they are going to protect someone like Chen who is a dissent of the one child policy that VP Biden said he understood. Amazing that during election time, this "nonsense" issue as POTUS called it is garnering world attention. God has a way of bringing these nonsense issues to the forefront.

Chinese change slogans but not policies on one child only....

Live Action spotted this story ... China is attempting to change their slogans  regarding their one child  mandate  but not their policies.  They freely admit this is all propaganda.

Their harsh one child policy is still in place but they want to have kinder, gentler ways of expressing it.
Instead of ..." “Kill all your family if you don’t follow the rule” and, “If you escape (sterilisation), we’ll hunt you down; if you want to hang yourself, we’ll give you the rope”.

The research said milder expressions should be used to “avoid offending the public and stoking social tensions”.  Does this remind you of an organization that parse their words to make killing babies sound kinder, gentler....Planned Parenthood???

The Chinese  are  also sensitive to the  unintended consequences of gender imbalance so they also have a benign suggestion of .... "Caring for the girl means caring for the future of the nation.”

Think the Chinese use focus groups?

Chinese Human Rights Abusers — House Bill May Deny Entry into the U.S.

If passed, H.R. 2121, the “China Democracy Promotion Act of 2011,” would enable the President to deny entry into the U.S. for Chinese nationals who have “committed human rights abuses” against people in China, including anyone who “has participated in the imposition of . . . China’s coercive birth limitation policy.”  Under this wide-ranging bill, the President would also have discretion to deny entry to Chinese nationals who have participated in a wide range of human rights abuses.

Reggie Littlejohn, President of Women’s Rights Without Frontiers, stated, “Decades ago, Congress barred foreign persecutors from obtaining asylum in the United States, to keep out Nazi war criminals.  Why should Chinese officials who force women to have abortions, persecute ethnic minorities, torture people for their religious beliefs, repress public interest lawyers and jail journalists be welcomed to our land?  These persecutors need to be held accountable.  They do not deserve to set foot on U.S. soil.”

Passage of this bill, however, may not be enough.  The key player is the President.  Even if the bill passes, will President Obama take a strong stand for the suffering people of China and deny entry to their persecutors?  Littlejohn stated, “Nothing in his record thus far indicates that President Obama would deny entry to Chinese government persecutors, at least where the One Child Policy is concerned.  To the contrary, President Obama restored funding to UNFPA, which former Secretary of State Colin Powell found to be working hand in hand with the Chinese coercive family planning machine.

And on his official visit, Vice President Biden just told China ‘Your policy has been one which I fully understand — I’m not second-guessing — of one child per family.’  If Biden ‘fully understands’ the One Child Policy, then he understands it is enforced through forced abortion.  If he is ‘not second-guessing’ it, then he is not opposing it.”
The bill was introduced by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), and is sponsored by Reps. Frank Wolf (R-Va.), Dan Burton (R-Ind.), and Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.).  Significantly, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) newly signed on as a co-sponsor, which increases the likelihood that the bill will move through the Committee.

Say it isn't so...Joe... no issue with China's one child policy

Update: The Administration is trying to explain that Joe did not mean what he said in China  about China's one child policy because  Biden and his boss truly oppose the policy that results in forced abortions, gender selection  and sterilizations.

This is the man that is one heartbeat away from being president!  Well if you cannot trust him to go alone on a trip abroad...keep Joe home and muzzled.

I suggest that he and Obama who are showing  their pro abortion allegiance.  Life News points out "
"The speech represents a second missed opportunity for the Obama administration to present a clear position against the policy that is one of the most egregious global human rights abuses in modern times.
Biden’s comments follow a visit earlier this year from China President Hu Jintao, where President Barack Obama apparently failed to ask the foreign leader about the problem of forced abortions on Chinese women. Ask during a U.S. House hearing, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton couldn’t say whether Obama brought up the massive human rights abuse millions of Chinese women endure if they break the country’s one-child family planning rules."

Forced abortions, sterilizations, gender abortion ....no problem for Vice President Joe Biden. He will not second guess their policy  or condemn it. Hey it is all about the economics, right? Disgraceful!

"Your policy has been one which I fully understand — I’m not second-guessing — of one child per family."
Penny Nance, president and CEO of Concerned Women for America had some straight talk for Joe:

“Vice President Biden’s approval of China’s one-child policy, which uses forced abortion to enforce the law, crosses the lines of ignorant and wrong. Then to suggest that the United States should learn from China’s policy, like forcing its citizens to have only one child, to help manage debt, is an insult to the basic American values of life and liberty,” Nance said. “Also, Concerned Women for America wants to know if Biden’s position is the official administration’s stance on the one-child policy in China.”
