Left's New Hero...Lucy Flores discloses abortion with no regrets

Lucy Flores

There might be a challenge to Wendy Davis' claim to fame as the darling of the left, a.k.a abortion Barbie. She may have stood and filibustered for  infanticide; but now may be outdone by what the left is calling their new hero .  Lucy Flores, who not only talked the talk  about supporting abortion, she walked the walk and had one.

Flores (D) running for Lt. Governor of NV has a resume of overcoming many obstacles...growing up poor, one of 13 children, high school drop out, doing  time in prison, getting  an ankle tattoo and oh yeah...an abortion.

According to Salon, the closest they had  to disclosing an abortion was Rep. Jackie Speier (D) CA.  Hers was not an abortion, as they like to call it, but a miscarriage at 17 weeks. Now they have a young, attractive Hispanic woman who discloses an abortion at age 16, AND, here is the icing on the cake , says she has no regrets. But I note that the articles about it describe her disclosure the same way as abortion supporting Slate.

"Her eyes welled up and her voice caught as she described how she’d convinced her father to pay the $200 cost for the procedure."
Does that sound like some regret? She reports that all six sisters got pregnant as teens and she did not want to be like them. She is  just like them, except they chose life. She disclosed this in 2012, as she was championing for more  sex ed. We have had sex ed is schools in schools for years along with biology classes!  Did they really not know how pregnancy occurred and did  anyone ever consider the other A word...abstinence.

But that may be another matter, back to the new hero threatening Davis. This was truly an elective abortion, forget that she was a minor, she knew what she wanted and that was no baby and heck yeah...she did it with the help of her father's finances. Now... if she can repeat the tale without the eyes welling up and the catch in her voice, she will be PERFECT!!!

This is what the abortion supporting crowd wants and needs to counter all those pesky women and men  from post abortion ministries like Rachel's Vineyard, Silent No More and Save One ,  who stand with their placards that say...I regret my abortion. Ask me about it.  Powerful testimonies....

Abortion supporters are hoping that Flores is the first of many. As the Salon article states...

"If pro-choice lawmakers want to regain control of the abortion debate, they may have to get personal."
"Lucy Flores was willing to step up. Who’s next?"

Silverman apologizes for abortion tweet...sort of

************************************************************************************
Now she tries to cover herself by throwing in marriage and privacy and keep the govt. out of our business but oh yes, govt please pay for these abortions.

Per the article Silverman's apology was borne out of concern that her professional life might suffer because of her unusual sense of humor.

Actually Silverman's embodies the Hollywood trend of dehumanizing the pre born and to them to deliberate destruction of life is a big joke. So Silverman was just being herself and reflecting the dominate culture in Hollywood. If her possible sitcom is being considered by NBC, I would say she fits in quite well with the culture there.

Wonder what post abortive men and women think of her joke and half hearted apology.

Becauses personal testimonies matter...that is why MSM don't want to cover them

From Red State

"Every year, the “mainstream” media make a point of not covering the March for Life on the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade abortion ruling. They are especially careful to make sure we viewers/readers never see one particular group of people at the March whose presence refutes everything the “liberal” establishment wants us to believe about abortion: the women who have actually had them."

Abortion Gang says abortion is just a footnote in your life...

Abortion Gang  wants abortion to be trivia in your life...like moving to take a new job or deciding which college to go to.

"Is it right to distill a woman’s life down to a decision to terminate a pregnancy so that she can move on with and live her life?  Should the decision to have an abortion define a woman’s life, or merely a footnote – no more interesting than the decision to have any other outpatient medical procedure?"
Ask these women about that footnote!

Gov. Pawlenty's Offensive "Abortion Recovery Month"

What a mean  spirited column printed in the MSM. So the Church offers healing and just want to fill up the pews with poor people. Abortion rights...of course,  their mantra. What about the baby's rights and of course her sign off signature...subjugate women to child bearing and nothing else. So she rails against offering services for post abortive men and women. What a champ. Nice lady. Nice magazine that would give column space to a lady like that. She needs  to read the piece in Salon.com.

US News and World Report, April 15, 2010
Here we go again. Just when you thought the religious right couldn’t come up with any more outrageous behavior designed to offend mainstream Americans and accomplish nothing of worth, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty proclaims April, again, “Abortion Recovery Month.”
The proclamation, first cited by the Minnesota Independent, “encourages and promotes healing opportunities and raises awareness of the aftermath of abortion experienced by individuals and families,” according to the document signed by the Republican governor and Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie.
According to Politico, the proclamation also recognizes that “many Minnesota organizations offer support and recovery services to those who have had abortions or who have been impacted by abortion" and that “many organizations in Minnesota promote policies that reinforce a culture of life and hope.”
It’s time for the religious right to get honest about what it’s really doing by continuing to campaign against abortion rights. (Politico reports Pawlenty’s third April declaration was done “at the behest of the anti-abortion advocacy group Silent No More.”)
What is the religious right doing by campaigning against abortion? First and foremost, its efforts seem aimed at trying to keep church pews filled by bringing more and more poor people into the world. Second, it will just end up boosting the teen unwed pregnancy rate every time it guilt trips an unwed, pregnant teen into bringing to term a child she does not want and cannot afford to raise. Third, it will effectively subjugate women and girls in the same way women and girls in developing nations are consigned to a life of child-bearing and little else.
So as long as Pawlenty is declaring April Abortion Recovery Month, if he wants to be fair and unbiased on this issue, he should declare May, “Anti-abortion Zealots Recovery Month,” so the rest of us can get a break from their unrelenting proselytizing and tomfoolery.

Woman who wrote and asked Gov Pawlenty to have an abortion recovery month

Several posters are responding on Jill Stanek.com who also posted this sad tragic story from Salon.com about one woman's abortion. She asked for comments and boy is she getting them. Here was an interesting one.
From: annmarie
"She wrote about Gov. Tim Pawlenty getting involved with her abortion because he signed a proclamation stating April was Abortion Recovery Awareness month. How could he know anything about it. He may not personally but I was the one who Request Gov. Pawlenty to sign it and he did. I asked him to sign it so that woman, maybe her someday, will know their pain is real and there is hope and healing."Side note...Just put up a new video on YouTube about abortion. Go to silentnomoremn valerie.
