Left's New Hero...Lucy Flores discloses abortion with no regrets

There might be a challenge to Wendy Davis' claim to fame as the darling of the left, a.k.a abortion Barbie. She may have stood and filibustered for  infanticide; but now may be outdone by what the left is calling their new hero .  Lucy Flores, who not only talked the talk  about supporting abortion, she walked the walk and had one.

Flores (D) running for Lt. Governor of NV has a resume of overcoming many obstacles...growing up poor, one of 13 children, high school drop out, doing  time in prison, getting  an ankle tattoo and oh yeah...an abortion.

According to Salon, the closest they had  to disclosing an abortion was Rep. Jackie Speier (D) CA.  Hers was not an abortion, as they like to call it, but a miscarriage at 17 weeks. Now they have a young, attractive Hispanic woman who discloses an abortion at age 16, AND, here is the icing on the cake , says she has no regrets. But I note that the articles about it describe her disclosure the same way as abortion supporting Slate.

"Her eyes welled up and her voice caught as she described how she’d convinced her father to pay the $200 cost for the procedure."

Does that sound like some regret? She reports that all six sisters got pregnant as teens and she did not want to be like them. She is  just like them,except they chose life. She disclosed this in 2012, as she was championing for more  sex ed. We have had sex ed is schools in schools for years along with biology classes!  Did they really not know how pregnancy occurred and did  anyone ever consider the other A word...abstinence. 

 But that may be another matter, back to the new hero threatening Davis. This was truly an elective abortion, forget that she was a minor, she knew what she wanted and that was no baby and heck yeah...she did it with the help of her father's finances. Now... if she can repeat the tale without the eyes welling up and the catch in her voice, she will be PERFECT!!!

This is what the abortion supporting crowd wants and needs to counter all those pesky women and men  from post abortion ministries like Rachel's Vineyard, Silent No More and Save One ,  who stand with their placards that say...I regret my abortion. Ask me about it.  Powerful testimonies....

Abortion supporters are hoping that Flores is the first of many. As the Salon article states... 

   "If pro-choice lawmakers want to regain control of the abortion debate, they may have to get personal." 

"Lucy Flores was willing to step up. Who’s next?"

Wendy Davis can't catch a break....introduces legislation already passed and she voted for it.

Wendy Davis is now painting herself as a victim of the piling on....ever since her hard luck story was found to be full of holes. The pol who rocketed to fame by filibustering in favor of late term abortions and becoming the darling of Emily's List and gasp...The Girl Scouts :(. 

Then she tried to rebound by going "country" since she is running for Governor of Texas. Real Clear Politics picks up the story.....

"So, in a blazing red state like Texas, what’s an ambitious, take-no-prisoners, left-wing gal to do? Bring out the guns, of course. On Tuesday, Davis hastily “went country,” announcing her plans to strengthen gun rights by supporting, as the Associated Press reported, “legislation that allows workers to keep their guns in their vehicles at work.” Not bad, right? Well, no. Unfortunately for Wendy, as blogger Bryan Preston pointed out, similar legislation already passed in 2011—something she should know, as she voted for it at the time. (She also, for the record, pushed for gun control measures as a city councilor in Fort Worth, and told an interviewer last year she would do the same as governor. The NRA has given Davis an “F” grade.)"

Girl Scout cookies...no thanks....mom you should know why we do not buy cookies from your daughter

"Girl Scouts recently promoted late-term abortion advocate and Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis as one of their “incredible women of the year.”
We have seen complaints before about Girl Scouts aligning themselves with Planned Parenthood and such offerings as the Healthy, Happy and Hot sex information brochure.

Previously, Girl Scouts sponsored a panel discussion and event to promote the premier of Makers, a documentary about trailblazers and pioneers who were pro abortion feminist.

"During a panel discussion associated with the screening, Amy Richards, co-founder of the Third Wave Foundation, a pro-abortion, pro-LGBT group, was introduced as a member of the panel. In MAKERS, Richards described how her “first thought” when she learned she was pregnant with triplets was, “Is there any way to get rid of one of them?” Subsequently, she aborted two of them."

I think I am going to print out this page and when approached by a Girl Scout to buy cookies, I will smile and say no thank you and quietly hand this page to the mother with her to educate her and explain why I am not supporting her daughter.

Kirsten Powers is a convert to the pro life movement. She is not all the way there but I believe time will accomplish this. She writes about being a recent convert to Christianity as well. Love her commentary and she has entree as a Democratic strategist. She was most helpful in the Gosnell trial shaming the MSM into covering it.

On Abortion, Wendy Davis Doesn’t Know What She’s Talking About

The Texas crusader let it slip this week that she is badly misinformed on the late-term abortion ban she crusaded against. And she’s not the only misinformed Democratic woman, writes Kirsten Powers.·

Wendy Davis says the darndest things. The Democratic star du jour was asked this week to explain the difference between the late-term abortions she fought to keep legal in Texas and the illegal killings by Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell. “I don’t know what happened in the Gosnell case,” she told the Weekly Standard’s John McCormack, who cornered her after her National Press Club speech on Monday. This is incredible. After all, Davis is the state senator who held an 11-hour filibuster to fight legislation drafted in response to the abuses at Gosnell’s clinic. A passing knowledge of the case seems like basic due diligence.She went on: “But I do know that [Gosnell] happened in an ambulatory surgical center. And in Texas changing our clinics to that standard obviously isn’t going to make a difference.” It takes real skill to pack so many falsehoods into so few words.

According to the Gosnell grand jury report (PDF), “The abhorrent conditions and practices inside Gosnell’s clinic [were] directly attributable to the Pennsylvania Health Department’s refusal to treat abortion clinics as ambulatory surgical facilities.” In December 2011, the governor of Pennsylvania signed a law inspired by the Gosnell tragedy requiring exactly that. This legislation was opposed by the pro-abortion rights forces in Pennsylvania, but had the full-throated support of Democratic state Rep. Margo Davidson, whose 22-year-old cousin died from a botched abortion at Gosnell’s clinic. Davidson rejected the claims that abortion clinics didn’t need additional regulation and oversight to ensure safety. Three former Planned Parenthood employees who have acted as whistleblowers in Delaware also have rejected this claim. They have testified twice before the Delaware legislature to call for stricter regulations of clinics to protect women after witnessing horrors one compared to Gosnell’s clinic. Wendy Davis should call them. At one point in his interview, McCormack asked Davis what she made of the fact a majority of women support late-term abortion bans. Davis told him, “I…think that a lot of people don’t really understand the landscape of what’s happening in that arena today and what an incredibly small percentage of procedures take place there.”Actually, the people who “don’t really understand” the issue are the Democratic ladies crusading against laws the majority of the country supports.

Despite frequently mocking anti-abortion activists as anti-science know-nothings, abortion rights absolutists are the ones who play fast and loose with the facts of abortion. Because they are so rarely asked to defend their positions, Davis and her ilk apparently don’t feel the need to be informed. Follow-up questions to their strange and often empirically false statements are almost nonexistent, while offensive or misinformed comments from GOP back benchers are greeted with full-scale media hysteria.

John McCormack has been the dogged fly in the ointment here. On a noble quest to get a response to an eminently reasonable question, he has yet to get a straight answer. In June, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi convened a press conference to condemn a bill banning abortions after 20 weeks. McCormack asked her essentially the same question he asked Davis: “What is the moral difference between what Dr. Gosnell did to a baby born alive at 23 weeks and aborting her moments before birth? Pelosi answered, “You’re probably enjoying that question a lot, I can see you savoring it.” This insulting nonsense inexplicably elicited laughter from some of the assembled reporters.

Pelosi then told an outright lie: “[The 20-week ban] would make it a federal law that there would be no abortion in our country.” No reporter questioned this absurdity, even though they’ve heard pro-abortion rights leaders assert a thousand times that “only” 1.5 percent of abortions occur after 20 weeks. (For those who care, that’s “only” 18,000 late-term abortions each year.) Pelosi then expressed outrage at the line of questioning, raised the fact she had five children in six years, and snapped, “As a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this.” When you are pulling the Catholic card to defend your support of unrestricted late-term abortion, you’ve officially gone off the rails.

In May this year, former abortion doctor Dr. Anthony Levantino described late-term abortion in congressional testimony before a House subcommittee debating the 20-week abortion ban Pelosi and most Democrats opposed. It is similar to the one Davisopposed in Texas. Levantino told the committee: “The toughest part….is extracting the baby’s head. [Y]ou will know you have it right when you crush down on the clamp and see white gelatinous material coming through the cervix. That was the baby’s brains. You can then extract the skull pieces. Many times a little face will come out and stare back at you.

”Nothing to “savor” there.

Wendy Davis has become our Bull Connor...a gift to the pro life movement.

The demonstrations over TX SB5 actually helps the pro life movement by showing just how radical the abortion industry really is. They actually got someone who was the product of an unplanned pregnancy and a teen mom herself to filibuster against a bill that says you cannot kill healthy babies past 20 weeks (5 mos.) pregnancy, abortion centers must meet the standards required by other surgical treatment centers . They go even further to say that drs. must be qualified enough to have admitting privileges at hospitals within 30 miles of the cts AND be present for the abortion . Qualified doctors and centers!! Shriek!!!! No way....cuts into profits....scream WAR ON WOMEN until you drop. Remember this bill has an exception for the health and life of the mother and fetal anomalies of the baby…so this is truly elective abortion on healthy babies by healthy moms.

For this they filibuster , use mob rioting tactics to delay a democratic vote, pay supporters to assemble and hold up vulgar signs even using children and chant Hail Satan.

Pro lifers this is a gift. Just as Bull Connor's ordering the hosing of civil rights demonstrators during the civil rights moment shocked and pricked the conscience of the watching nation. The mushy middle got off the fence and paid attention.

The MSM , bless their hearts, focus on the dress and pink shoes of Wendy Davis and not the killing of healthy babies for profit. One person on Twitter chastised me for opposing death by dismemberment by saying that only occurred in the early "terminations" not in late term abortion which is done by injection to make his/her heart stop. Much better thank you.

You just cannot make this stuff up!! A gift I say!!!
