Mom lies at 45 degree angle for 3 mos. to prevent miscarriage

Neat story out of the UK of a woman who spent three mos. in a tilted bed to prevent miscarriage. She literally was in a bed tilted at 45 degree angle to keep her baby from falling out. Donna had a weak cervix from one birth and suffered two miscarriages. The baby arrived  6 weeks early at 4 lbs. but is doing well.
Donna said: "I'm thrilled to have Amelia. But there will always be a place in my heart for the babies I never knew."
Congratulations to all.

UK: undercover reporter finds the only one mentioning adoption is not pregnancy resource centers but abortion provider!?!!!

This article in the Daily Mail is so frustrating  and educational.

An undercover reporter in Great Britain presents as a pregnant,  single 26 year old professional  who is uncertain what to do. She does this assignment because of a  potential law being  debated in their Parliament  that would require abortion facilities  to offer free counseling from independent and separate  agencies not benefiting from the abortion decision. The article clearly states something that does not surprise me but no one in the States would admit this.....
"The leading private abortion clinics Marie Stopes International and the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) both provide such counseling, but are paid per abortion, which hardly promotes independence."
Remember they have universal health care...but on to the point. The reporter goes to two abortion providers and four non profit pregnancy resource centers.  She finds the first two abortion providers spend a lot of time telling her that she should not feel guilty over choosing abortion and it was not a selfish decision. They also downplayed any abortion  risks and brushed off any discussion of parenting.

What leaped out at me is the second abortion counselor was the only one who even mentioned the word ADOPTION.

She admitted to having low expectations of the faith based organizations but was complimentary of some of them. She felt less pressure, felt that they helped her talk through her options but they were life affirming and tried to help her picture her pregnancy as a person.  They seemed more caring about her and this makes sense since they were not paid  according to her decision. Most of these ministries are staffed by trained volunteers.

What is so sad is that the  only one who mentioned the option of adoption is the abortion provider. It was mentioned in passing but at least it was mentioned!! Come on pregnancy  resource centers.

I sit on the board of a non profit that is working to accurately address all the options in an  unplanned pregnancies and give accurate, updated information about the option of adoption correcting any negative adoption language.  The number of adoption decisions are so low that they don't even track them....less than 1%. Why is that? It is because people have an outdated and inaccurate picture of adoption. They choose abortion over adoption as preferable for them and the baby. Can you get your head around that thinking??

Check out this website to find out more about this non profit.  We may need to expand to Great Britain but we have much work to do in the US as well.

UK: 40 yr.old "players" abandon safe sex and embrace more abortions.....

Maybe they need to stop watching so much TV...
The National Post reports that in the UK abortions are up in the 40 yr. old range.

"The head of Britain's biggest abortion provider said women in their 40s -known as "The Sex and the City generation" -were increasingly inclined to take chances with contraception, only to be shocked when they became pregnant."
Shocked that sex leads to pregnancy? Why ? Well, the report states that more marriages are breaking up at this time and the women consider themselves "players." They are less likely to practice safe sex and using the liberal abortion laws as a means of birth control. Of course this is good profitable news for the UK version of Planned Parenthood, Marie Stopes.

These rates also take into effect women who are waiting  to get pregnant until after establishing their career and finding out that their unborn child has a deformity such as Down's Syndrome  as the risk increases with age. Prenatal testing of this leads to abortion in 90% of the cases.

UK: reports increase in abortions....medical abortions and repeat abortions...how are those liberal laws working out for you?

How's that working out for you...UK reports abortions up...more are taking the medical abortion pill....up  from 12 per cent in 2000 to a record 43 per cent last year and most are repeat abortions.  Liberal abortion laws, free abortions...how's that working out for you??

"Among the under-25s, a quarter of abortions were repeat terminations with 79 teenagers who have had two previous abortions undergoing the procedure again last year"
"A spokesman for the Department of Health said: "Abortions are traumatic and stressful and should never be seen as a form of contraception.
"Women and men need to make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and think about contraception before having sex"
Obviously they are not heeding that warning...traumatic and stressful ???....why they are just emptying the contents of the uterus of the products of  the conception??

UK: 10 most complained about ads #1 kicking kittens #2 aborting babies....

The Guardian (UK ) report the most complained about ads for 2010 according to the Advertising Standards Authority. Topping the list is an ad that pro ports to show a blind soccer player accidentally kicking a cat into a tree.  Of course you do not actually see that but the complaints are  that it is demeaning to blind people and of course animal cruelty.

Placing second is an ad called Are you late? by Marie Stopes which is the Planned Parenthood of the UK.  At  first I thought... what kicking kittens is worse than killing babies? It would seem so but looking at the details, it appears that the Marie Stopes ad had more complaints but the ASA decided not to count signatures on petitions and postcards. Interestingly enough, they felt that the complaints on those two ads where not upheld.  One the kicking kittens one...

"We felt the ad was surreal and light-hearted in tone and was unlikely to encourage or condone cruelty to animals or cause serious or widespread offense."
And on the Marie Stopes ad.....
"We felt it was clear that the advertisers were promoting their post-conception advice service and was neither advocating one course of action over another..."
Sure.....the Planned Parenthood of UK is not advocating one choice over the others......do we believe that? And how about the wording.....post conception advice service. Now there is a new one!!

UK abortion provider fails in legal bid to allow home abortions using human pesticide drugs

An article tells that British Advisory Services has failed in their attempt to make medical abortions just another form of contraception by saying that this can be done at home, meaning that more women will deliver their dead babies at home trivializing abortions and further endangering women.
"BPAS was seeking to widen the scope for using the drug misoprostol, used in conjunction with RU486, the abortion drug. BPAS uses the drugs to poison the uterine environment and kill unborn children"
"The abortion providers are determined to manufacture the vile illusion that killing pre-born children is ‘normal’ and ‘natural’. It’s sickening to hear abortionists like Ann Furedi talk about their concern for morality and the well-being of women when they make their money out of the most harmful violence against mothers and their children."

UK: One thousand girls on Pill at 11: Huge rise in contraceptive prescription for pre-teens without parents knowing

This article is from  the UK where teen pregnancies are rampant and they are proud of introducing sex education in primary schools. Not to mention how dangerous it is for pre teens to be on bc, this is beyond sad. Some interesting quotes.....

Professor Steve Field, chairman of the Royal College of General Practitioners, said the rise in contraception among young girls reflected 'improved sex education' and access to doctors rather than a rise in sexual activity."
"The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence provoked a row recently when it called for primary school children to be given sex education lessons. "
