The real question in the debate should be is God sovereign....not rape

Is God in control or not.....this fabricated war on women which is the last gasp approach of the failing Democrats running for office including POTUS is ridiculous. Why this story even warrants a place on Politico shows again the media bias or ignorance...take your pick.

Here is the offending statement from Indiana Republican candidate for the Senate who won the primary against Richard Lugar and is now facing Democratic challenger Joe Donnelly in a debate.
Richard Murdock (R)
"Mourdock was asked during the final minutes of a debate whether abortion should be allowed in cases of rape or incest.
"He replied: “I think even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that’s something God intended to happen.”
Of course the Democrat challenger jumped on that stating his God that.... "he doesn't believe “my God, or any God, would intend that to happen.”
How many gods are there Joe??  Murdock clarified that his statement acknowledged that only God can create life. So what's the beef here?  Everyone agrees that rape is a horrible act of violence against a woman. No one is condoning or excusing the act of rape. When a woman is raped pregnancy sometimes occurs and  sometimes does not occur.

So is God in control even during the times when horrible acts occur...yes!! So does life begin at conception.....yes!!  So is God in control.....yes!! Can God bring something beautiful out of tragedy?? Yes!!! Ask the  many babies conceived  in rape. Are their lives precious....you bet!!

Joe Donnelly (D)

I guess the God of the challenger is impotent and just throwing up his/her hands in desperation saying oh no.....I can't do anything here!!

So is God sovereign ? I guess remembering God almost did not make the cut in the Democratic platform at their convention ..maybe not so much. Faithful Dems need to be calling our their candidate instead of trying to fan the flames of the fictional war on women.

Conceived in rape and adopted at birth...I grew up in a happy home and reunites with birth mom now age 100.

So when you hear that the only answer to rape is abortion, read this story.

Young 16 year old girl is raped by 3 strange men and carries her baby girl to term. The baby is adopted at birth. Now this was 77 years ago and confidential adoption was the only option back then. The birth mother did receive updates on his birth daughter until the adoption agency changed management and then there was no more information.

When the birth mother was 94 years old, she was discovered by a biological grandson  and went on to have a wonderful reunion. The baby reported that she grew up knowing she was adopted and had a happy life. She married and had six children including one son who became an astronaut and flew on four space missions.

So all I could think of was those who say that the only solution for rape is abortion. Just think of the generations that would have been wiped out. The birth mother felt nothing but love for the child who was conceived under such terrible circumstances. The child grew up in a happy and stable home.

Tolerance over protection: Live Action documents actual cases ....

Abby Johnson is absolutely right! Planned Parenthood has gotten so used to covering up rape  that they value tolerance over protection. They are so blinded by their extreme ideology that they totally ignore the victim and even brag about this indifference on their website. How else do you explain posting a letter from a girl telling how at the age of 11 she was raped and PP helped her cover it up from her own parents ? I used to work for Protective Services and this by law requires a referral to police and CPS workers and yes the parents need to know.
Amazing....you can't make this up. This is a posting from their website but it was  taken down after pro life leaders started calling for an investigation. But once up on the internet, it never really lost. Click here for the full story and the screen shot.
"I was raped at 11, by my 17 year old boyfriend. I chose not to tell my parents because I didn't think their involvement would help, that was the right choice for me. Planned Parethood helped me deal with the aftermath of the rape allowing me to deal and cope as best as I could in my own way."

From suffering to joy: Rape victim discovers courage and love in the midst of pain

I personally know three people who got pregnant as a result of rape. One choose abortion and now works in a ministry to help post abortive men and women and is very active in pro life work. She has been healed of her abortion which she regrets. The other two women made the choice for life. The youngest girl has an amazing story and perhaps someday she will publicly tell her story,  although she is a shy person.  She was raped by a stranger while on a mission trip in another country and attending a Christian college at this time. Even though the attack was reported, when she became pregnant she was required  to leave the college. She did not waiver in her pro life position and is raising her daughter and going on with her life.

Drugged and raped. The words elicit disbelief, anger, compassion and a cry for justice. Rape victims rarely share their experience publicly. This is one teenager's story of courage and hope.

Amanda had completed her U.S. Army Reserve training and was ready for her deployment to Afghanistan in September 2009. At age 18, she was excited to fulfill a dream of serving her country. At a St. Paul party in August, she felt dizzy and sick after drinking a wine cooler, so she lay down in a friend's bedroom.

A half-hour later a guy entered the room and came after her. Amanda pleaded with him to leave, crying, "Stop! Stop!" But she was frozen.

"I was trained to kill, but I couldn't move," she recalls.

In the days that followed, Amanda told no one about the rape. But she felt something had changed. She took one drug store pregnancy test after another. Most were positive. Desperate, she went to urgent care, where her pregnancy was confirmed.

Amanda held strong pro-life convictions. She had written high school papers defending the pro-life position. But she had always viewed rape and incest as special situations.

So Amanda decided to get an abortion. She needed to fulfill her duty to her Army Reserve unit. She needed to get on with plans for her life. She made an appointment, but never got there.

Eight days before her scheduled abortion, Amanda was rushed to the emergency room with symptoms of a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. She was given a sonogram and reassured that her pregnancy was normal. It was then that Amanda saw her little unborn child on the ultrasound monitor for the first time.

"I fell in love at that moment," she says.
