100K from HHS to negotiate condom use skills with girls on probation!!!!.....you cannot make this stuff up!

Some things you simply cannot make up.....while Congress and POTUS fuss over the looming fiscal cliff  and POTUS is wavering on cutting out the obvious spending addiction.....HHS headed by abortion supporting Kathleen Sebelius is going full blast.
They  approved a  grant for $100,000 to teach at risk girls how to better "negotiate" condom use with their boyfriends! These girls ages 14-17 are on "intensive probation with the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department." I wonder what intensive probation is??
"According to the school's release, "Parrish notes one of the big issues for this population of adolescent girls is condom negotiation. They may have a boyfriend who says it isn't 'cool' to use a condom. To prepare the girls for these types of situations, the counselors and pediatricians will teach them how to negotiate condom use with their partner. The intervention also helps empower and motivate girls to make healthier choices regarding their alcohol use, smoking and prevention of unplanned pregnancy."
So this is how much they get for a study to see if their "negotiation" skills work. What a joke! I have worked with reputable non profits who do excellent work with teens teaching abstinence and the  hard realities of not choosing abstinence and been turned down by HHS. But anything that has the sex without consequences ....everyone is doing it....gets the grant. Amazing! We are so sick.

Weekly Standard....Catholic Bishops Take on Obama

From the Weekly Standard......this is our Bonhoeffer moment. May we be up to the task at hand. This is certainly interesting times we are living in.
Catholic Bishops Take on Obama
"To their credit, the bishops appear to understand this and are now willing to lead the battle to preserve religious liberty for all, Catholics and non-Catholics, church institutions and private employers."

HHS Sebelius now not worried about privacy of medical records....

Privacy or public record.  Is Kathleen Sebelius' idea of privacy evolving?? HHS secretary and former governor of KS, Kathleen Sebelius argues both sides of this issue depending on her ideology and advocacy.

As Governor of KS  she ferociously defended the privacy of any and all records dealing with Planned Parenthood and the late George Tiller,  the infamous late term abortionist. She stonewalled the investigation  into potential criminal charges being investigated by then AG, Phill Kline. due to privacy rights.  Even though they requested records that had any identifying information removed, she was staunch in crying PRIVACY FIRST....NO DEAL.

Now as HHS Secretary she is saying that it is fine for Obamacare's  data base to have all medical conditions of Americans as long as they do not divulge your identity. This component is essential to the working of Obamacare.
Sebelius’s HHS has proposed having states collect the “raw claims data” of all Americans to determine “individual risk scores,” which can then be used to allocate funds accordingly.
Sebelius all of a sudden is not concerned about anyone tying a particular  medical condition to a particular person as she assures that the data is all they are interested in and your confidentiality is safe with us.

But when it comes to KS investigating the plight of underage girls receiving abortions and assuring that they are not victims of unreported rape, her advocacy was clear.

Sebelius had reciprocal ties to abortion providers throughout her political career in Kansas. For instance, on May 15, 2007, Sebelius celebrated her birthday at a Planned Parenthood event that raised over $55,000 for the abortion provider. And Tiller donated more than $35,000 to her, according to the Associated Press, though other estimates run much higher than that.
The Washington Examiner offered HHS the opportunity to respond to the more detailed criticisms of the proposed rule and Sebelius’s past record on privacy, but HHS spokeswoman Erin Shields, after initially offering to answer follow-up questions, declined to respond.
And last Friday, news broke that in 2005, the Sebelius administration in Kansas destroyed key records sought by prosecutors in the criminal prosecution of Planned Parenthood.
According to the Kansas City Star, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment is calling it a “routine” destruction of state documents that was not deliberate.
Her crisp demeanor may be crumbling under this apparent hypocrisy.

HHS tries to bully IN for defunding Planned Parenthood...wants to warn off other states....

Obama will clearly go to the mat for Planned Parenthood.  Today through his administration he
stated....
“Medicaid programs may not exclude qualified health care providers — whether an individual provider, a physician group, an outpatient clinic or a hospital — from providing services under the program because they separately provide abortion services,” Center for Medicaid Director Cindy Mann wrote in the memo.
But  Mike Fichter, IN Right to Life responded...
“The Obama administration appears to be intent on trying to force Indiana to subsidize the business of abortion in direct contrast to the desires of the state legislature and the people of Indiana.  Indiana must refuse to be bullied by the federal government and must challenge this politically-charged determination with full vigor.  The state of Indiana has a right to determine how it will manage its Medicaid program and to select the providers it will partner with.  Planned Parenthood is not entitled to public funding,” he said.

Per the AP article , IN is not going  to shy away from this fight.
"Marcus Barlow, a spokesman for Indiana's Family and Social Services Administration, said the state's attorneys have told his department that it must continue to comply with the law passed by the Indiana General Assembly.
We will seek guidance from the Indiana attorney general on how to proceed forward," he said. Bryan Corbin, a spokesman for Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller, said the letter was being reviewed to determine the state's options but that "we will continue to defend the statute."
So IN is saying Game On....we will fight this. The Administration is trying to get ugly to warn off other states that they had better not try to  defund their pet. The abortion industry  is flexing their muscle and Obama is bowing to their demands.

Persistence pays off

How I love it when the left leaning MSM finally gets it and has to admit that they ,like the abortion industry,  were caught off guard. This politico story admits what that they were resting on the "wink wink " of the paper thin Executive Order and knowing  their friend and fellow pro abort Kathleen Sebelius in  HHS would sneak abortion in through the very  large loop holes.

“This is not the outcome we expected,” said Laurie Rubiner, Planned Parenthood vice president for public policy. “We now know we need to be vigilant to make sure there aren’t other areas of the law where there is silence. There is a whole host of areas that we’re going to be watching like a hawk.”

That doggone Douglas Johnson of NRTL was willing to actually read all the small print in the state exchanges coming down the pike and alas in PA, NM and MD....there it was.  Those pesky pro life advocates.....they sure are persistent. Then sound the alarm and embarrass all those mouthpieces saying of course abortion is not in there.....as in "You lie Mr. President" and then the backpeddling.

I guess having the most pro abortion president in history is not quite enough these days.
