Dem Kirsten Powers calls out radical abortion industry.....

How radical is the Abortion industry anyway? They showed us just how radical they are this week. The TX bill know as SB5 shows just how radical they are and that despite their well rehearsed talking points care about their bottom line and power, not  the women and of course not about the babies.

This video shows even Democratic strategist Kirsten Powers  (pictured left )who previously worked in the Clinton White House (author of the outdated talking points of safe, legal and rare) debunks Big Abortion talking points.   She accurately points out that the bill takes exception for the life and substantial injury to the mother and if the preborn baby is determined to have severe anomalies incompatible  with life.   So she accurately points out that this is an elective abortion of a healthy baby at 20 weeks!! This is 5 mos. pregnant!!

The other parts of the bill ensure the women's health and safety. Having the abortion centers be licensed as surgical treatment centers requires things like having the hallways wide enough for a gurney transport.  Also, EMT personnel say that the aisles need to be wide enough for a person to walk along side the traveling gurney so that they can "bag" the patient while the other person is pushing it. Too much??? This is done to save a life of the woman! Also that they have on site a crash cart in the event the patient "codes" and personnel trained to use it!! And proper sterilizing equipment in good working order to  sterilize the utensils used in the abortion!!!  Big Abortion fights against this??? They say that the state will be down to only 5 abortion facilities if they have to comply?? Are they admitting running substandard facilities?? Looks that way!! This is a good thing not a bad thing.

Also, late term abortions are not easy procedures. As we know from Kermit Gosnell the babies  sometimes come out alive, breathing, even crying.  Unless the dr. intends to pull another Gosnell and snip their spine or puncture the back of their head to suck out their brains....which is illegal....they will have to have medical treatment. Should the centers who specialize in this procedure have equipment to care for the abortion survivor?? Big Abortion says NO!!

The final part of the bill states that the doctors running the abortion centers have admitting privileges at a hospital within a 30 miles radius. Why?? So if something goes wrong with the patient they can transport to the hospital and continue to treat. Also, it ensures that the dr. has good enough credentials to work at that hospital. I think we all know that the docs who do abortions are the bottom of the barrel types who have multiple malpractice suits and typically cannot work elsewhere. Again, Big Abortion fights against this. This is why it is outrageous l that they claim to  care about the health and welfare of women.

But Big Abortion has friends in high places. The former IL state senator  who voted three times for withholding care from abortion survivors now is POTUS and he tweets his support for the radical abortion industry..... his lucrative supporters.

For the abortion industry in TN less information is better....

Save One Founder and Executive Director, Sheila Harper, is interviewed about her thoughts on the viewing of an ultrasound and her personal experience  with abortion.   She articulates the issue well to this Channel 2 reporter.

However, due  to the disastrous ruling of  our  TN  Supreme Court in 2000, in a law suit brought by ACLU and Planned Parenthood against  the state , commonsense regulations voted into law by our elected bipartisan legislators were thrown out . In order to correct this egregious ruling a constitutional amendment called SJR 127 which states   that our state constitution,  originally written in 1796, did not speak to  issue of abortion. It further states that our elected legislators have the right and duty to enact regulations around abortion which is legal through the US Supreme Court decision of 1973. I know sounds so commonsense as to be ridiculous,  but the strange ruling of 2000 found that TN has a greater right to abortion than was  found in the   US Supreme Court decision known as Roe Vs. Wade. Read the constitution and try to find the word abortion.  All that to say..... in 2014, Tennesseans must pass this amendment  during the Gubernatorial  election so we can enact regulations voted on by our elected legislators such as informed consent, reflection periods etc.

However, Harper and Senator Jim Tracy are discussing a bill that would  then give women important information before they make a decision that is final. Watch the abortion industry object loudly using talking  points like privacy that do not address the fact that they really object to women have medically accurate information including the viewing of their ultrasound  and a time to consider this step before making a life altering decision.  It adds up to lost revenue and abortions are a very lucrative profession.

Komen fox trot brings full awareness of the partnership with abortion industry...bullied back into submission??

The Komen decision and retreat or not a retreat was the news on the blogosphere all yesterday. The MSM pretty much decided it was a full fledged retreat bowing under the intense bullying of the abortion industry and friends.  Jill Stanek had some inside baseball until her source dried up. Whether it was a retreat or a nuanced way to get the bullies off their back remains to be seen.

I would say they have now made both sides angry. The abortion industry is happy because they have shown that they play hardball which is no surprise.  They want to scare off anyone who might be thinking of jumping off their abortion ship. We either sue you into the ground  or beat you to a pulp. Kind of like the abusive husband that forces you to stay with him out of fear of being beaten or killed.

But I agree that one thing has been accomplished. If there was anyone out there who was pro life and did not know of the unholy alliance between Susan G. Komen and Planned Parenthood they sure do now. And it also brought out that Planned Parenthood does not do mammograms but for all that $$ hands out brochures about breast self exams and does a topical exam. They refer you to health depts etc.  for further service is there is an issue detected. As I had said before this is something I learned at a women's luncheon years ago. This is worth giving 680,000/yr??? That's a lot of brochures Better to give the money to free mammography  mobiles across the country. This heightened publicity also brought new attention to the link between cancer and abortion something the industry that profits from abortion would not like you to know.

So Komen may have danced out of the way of the bully for now and it remains to be seen if this is a word game only and no new grants will be given to the abortion bully but the Komen branding has taken a hit and trust may have been lost of both sides of this argument.

Case in point, when you decide to break up with the bully, you have to be willing to go the distance. Once he abuses you back into submission, the exit remains blocked. Run as though your life depends  on it.

Abortion industry filled with workers with secrets

The Abortion industry is confused and/or  schizophrenic  .....on the one hand, they want to be proud of their abortions  or at the very least de stigmatize it by calling it normal.  On the other hand those who "labor" in the field are secretive and do so anonymously. Why would they do that?  I suspect regardless of their brashness they are filled with shame and brokenness.
"When I worked at an abortion clinic I remember the days when we had down time and would open up to each other about our lives. We talked about things that probably don't get brought up in most work places. We shared stories of intimate partner violence, birth control failures, family stressors, masturbation techniques, drug use, and even our own abortions. There was an implicit understanding that we could trust each other and respect each other's experiences. I loved it, and I doubt I'll ever find at a job again."

They ask...

"What about as social workers or other direct service providers?"
I have worked as a social worker.  Most people are proud of their work either paid or volunteer. They take their children to work, talk about it at home. How sad to be a part of an industry that is filled with shame and regret. From those who have found the courage to come out of the industry, they acknowledge this shame. I pray for those who feel trapped in this industry. I pray for them to have the courage and support to walk away from the culture of death.

Thomas: Ultrasounds and Airline safety

Cal Thomas wrote an excellent column about the judge in NC granting a preliminary injunction to the new provision in the law that would requires a woman seeking an abortion to view an ultrasound within four hours of the an abortion. Of course the abortion industry opposes this and says it requires women to become "virtual billboards" ??? Really! Is this imagine being broadcast outside of the patient room?
Cal points out how ridiculous this is. The judge says the first amendment of free speech includes when you choose not to speak.

Cal Thomas makes a great analogy to listening to the airplane safety instructions each and every time you fly even though those very same instructions are printed in a card in the back pocket of each seat. Listening to those instructions might upset you, especially the part about what to do in a crash landing. I also note that they talk about a potential crash landing over  water even when I am flying from Nashville to Green Bay and will not be over any water.

"A federal mandate requires agriculture employers to provide an oral warning to employees of certain pesticide applications in greenhouses, farms, nurseries and forests. Another requires a home health agency to orally disclose to a patient prior to giving them care the extent to which payment may be expected from the federal government and how much the individual must pay. The comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve and the FDIC require banks that sell insurance to orally disclose to the consumer that the insurance is not FDIC insured."
Thomas concludes and rightly so that this decision  is "unabashedly political. How can  speech containing factual information violate the First Amendment, which is all about protecting, not restricting, speech?"

We know that as high as 90% of the women who view an ultrasound and are given factual information about fetal development will not choose abortion. Viewing the ultrasound makes it harder for the abortion industry to  call the offspring just  a clump of cells.  This is their real objection. They say that the pro life people want to keep women barefoot and pregnant. Well the abortion industry wants to keep women uninformed so  that their pregnancy can be $$wiped out again and again. Repeat customers  are the backbone of every business.  Remember that their core business is abortion....parenting or adoption does not ring the til.

IN seeks answers from AG Holder on sex trafficking ring....

Indiana Right to Life seeks investigation into whether Indianapolis human trafficking ring sought or received services at Planned Parenthood of Indiana

Indiana Right to Life today will formally submit a letter to Attorney General of the United States Eric Holder asking for investigation into whether the recently exposed human trafficking ring operating in northwest Indianapolis is the same group referenced in a January 18, 2011, letter from the Planned Parenthood Federation of America  to the Justice Department, and, if so, whether persons engaged in the Indianapolis human trafficking ring received any services from Planned Parenthood of Indiana.

Federal authorities announced multiple arrests on May 4 in connection to a multi-state human-trafficking ring in which women were brought across U.S. borders to serve as prostitutes in the Hispanic community on Indianapolis' northwest side.  According to U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett, the human trafficking ring had been operating in Indianapolis for several years.  More on the Indianapolis human trafficking ring

Suing to attempt to silence: latest tactic of the abortion industry....will it work??

If we can't stop them .... sue them. That is the all  to familiar game plan that the abortion industry  is well known for.  They  are truly running scared. The gravy train is about to be derailed....so they must destroy by  any means possible. Now the latest tactic is to sue to discourage others from taking bold stands....will it work or serve to rally more??

Jill Stanek is keeping us up to date on the attempts to silence Phill Kline of KS....I heard Phill speak and he would be hard to silence. He has  truth on his side and is full of passion. They may have messed with the wrong guy here. Alas, now a Catholic priest in Canada who is suing LifeSiteNews for having the audacity of writing about his public comments that portray him as pro choice.  Who is backing  him??

Bad PR week for the abortion industry

.I would hate to be working for the PR function of the abortion industry trying to put a positive spin on this. Now the Gosnell House of Horrors is featured on O'Reilly tonight
From LTI:

"This has been a really bad publicity week for abortion providers. First the national controversy over the horrors that went on behind the scenes at “Doctor” Gosnell’s abortion facility. Now an Associated Press story is implying that Live Action is getting ready to release videos exposing several Planned Parenthood employees of covering up sex trafficking with various PP health services. All of this while Abby Johnson’s tell-all book “Unplanned” has been on Amazon.com’s Top 100 Bestselling Books List for two weeks. Abby’s book is hardly the first book to be written that exposes what goes on at many abortion facilities (see here, here, and here), though it will probably forever be the most notable."

George Grant's newest book :Abortion: A Rational Look at an Emotional Issue

George Grant is the writer of Grand Illusions: The Legacy of Planned Parenthood and five dozen others.  He is based in Franklin, TN  and  is an excellent speaker, teacher and writer. His blog is http://grantian.blogspot.com.Here is a forward from his newest book Abortion: A Rational Look at an Emotional Issue.  Can't wait to read it.

15 Reasons the Abortion Industry is Losing Its Support

from George Grant
Why does it seem that the abortion industry’s grassroots support is slipping at the very moment when its power and resources have reached their zenith? At least part of the reason may be the very nature of the abortion business itself—along with the inevitable fallout that accompanies it. Consider:
  • Although heralded by the abortion lobby as both “safe and legal,” it is now apparent that abortion is merely “legal.” The complications of this, the most commonly performed medical procedure in America today, are legion. They include sterility—occurring in as many as 25 percent of all women receiving mid-trimester abortions; hemorrhaging—nearly 10 percent of all cases require transfusions; viral hepatitis—occurring in 10 percent of all those transfused; embolism—occurring in as many as 4 percent of all cases; cervical laceration; pelvic inflammatory disease; genital tract infection; cardiorespiratory arrest; acute kidney failure; and amniotic fluid embolus.
  • As a result of these sundry complications, women in America have seen a massive increase in the cost of medical care. While the average cost of normal health maintenance for men has increased nearly 12 percent over the past fifteen years due to inflation, the average cost for women has skyrocketed a full 27 percent.
  • A spate of medical malpractice lawsuits from botched abortions has intensified the industry’s already looming insurability crisis.

No Easy Decison: mixed reviews but truth cannot be hidden

  Update:
Well I just watched it for myself.  I noticed so many things. At the end, even the girl who said she felt nothing but relief following the abortion broke down and cried. And the other girl at the end who bypassed telling her parents at age 17 and got a judicial bypass, said she did not want to let her parents down. So the judge gave her permission. Shame on you.  Her  parents could have helped She talked about how she came up with the 750  bucks for the abortion. One of the sacrifices she did was t o cash in her prom ticket!!!   Well t he dr. tried his best to normalize abortion but the truth could not be hidden.

No Easy Decision aired last night. I tivoed it and will watch it soon. I see that the reviews are in and they are mixed. Hollywood Life.com is very disappointed.
"Instead of going through a  detailed  and normal paced show, MTV decided to cram the life-changing decision of this couple into 15 minutes and spend the remaining portion discussing  everything with Dr. Drew Pinsky."

Well the procedure itself  does not take that long but the feeling do not disappear with the baby and the trademark of the abortion industry is to get you to hurry and do it before you change your mind and consider other options...they like you to make this life and death decision while you are still in a crisis mode....here is one commentator's take on that...

rhiannon

EW. com thought it was well done and applauded it. They were not offended by exploring the range of feelings.

"She said that at the clinic it was suggested that she “think of it as a little ball of cells.” But afterward, she became angry — at James, and at herself — and wracked with remorse. “Nothing but a bunch of cells can turn out to be her,” she says to James, pointing to Za’karia. No Easy Decision, in the space of a half-hour, did a striking job of showing viewers a full range of thoughts and emotions, without a trace of MTV flash or, at the other extreme, timid solemnity."
We know this show was heavily promoted by the abortion industry as they were angry with the previous series "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom"  because although it showed how hard it was to be a teen mom, they felt that it promoted parenting in it's own peculiar way. Of course that is not good for their business. They complained and wanted  a series that shows abortion as the sensible $$ choice. The abortion industry typically works hard to present abortion as a choice and  no big deal since it is just a clump of cells... yet this series is called No Easy Decision....why not? Why is it not an easy decision to remove a clump of cells....no more than having a tooth pulled or a mole removed? Why the agony??
The abortion industry can't win because the truth cannot be hidden. The parents feel relief  but bitter and angry and sad...because they know they made a choice that may have relieved their immediate issue but ended the life of another human being....their  own son or daughter and  that is no easy decision.

Politico: boasts exclusive with abortion industry with no breaking news

Politico has a puff piece with their pro abort side kicks lamenting their weak status given the loud voice of the American people in the last election.  Despite their  typical rhetoric of anti abortion vs. abortion rights advocates and boasting  that the pro aborts are giving them an exclusive before releasing their paltry analysis and excuse ridden game plans.....the article is a smile fest for  pro lifers.

They point out that pro life adovcates are pushing forward with an aggressive agenda announced publicly; taking advantage of state initiatives...OK passing law requiring women the right to be shown ultrasounds before abortions and having docs give accurate information about the picture , NE with the fetal pain law which ran late term abortionist and Tiller sidekick out of the state, saying NO to using tax $$ to pay for abortions in the new Obamacare law and making  permanent  the law known as the Hyde Amendment that bans the use of  federal  dollars for abortions instead of renewing it annually.
I found it interesting that the reporter who was spoon fed information from the abortion industry did not ask any questions or do any homework.  When discussing the NE fetal pain law  that was passed in April and went into effect in Oct. causing Carhart to pack  up his instruments and flee to other states; the industry made noises about the law being unconstitutional but have not yet challenged it .  When quizzed on why no challenge yet the  abortion industry said they don't want to publicly discuss strategy and are looking for the right case for the challenge. A little homework on behalf of the reporter would have turned up this interesting quote from the atty for Carhart.

"losing  such a challenge would risk having the court throw away the viability standard in favor of a pain standard, which could be further lowered should it be proven fetuses feel can feel pain earlier than 20 weeks."

My favorite part of the article is the abortion industry attempts to change the subject warning the new pro life majority that it is really the economy that the American people care about and if they spend too much time on social issues they may find themselves  in trouble. Yes sir, the abortion industry is concerned about the economy of their own bottom line.

Pro-Aborts” Shut Down Abortion Industry Exposé

I have heard Carol Everett who wrote the book Blood Money and it was a real eye opener. I thought I was well versed in what goes on in the abortion industry but after hearing her I realized I was a novice. Just like when I heard Jill Stanek, I never heard of live birth abortions before. But to get back to the point....isn't it interesting that free speech is only honored by the hard left when it is in agreement with their agenda and favorable to the abortion industry.

From: www.newsrealblog.com

May 6, 2010

Today and yesterday, disconcerted emails were fluttering around the New York pro-Life community regarding an abortion industry exposé which was shut down by the pro-choice rabble in Albany, NY. Several of these emails wound up in my mailbox at the New York State Right to Life office which is located in the city.

“The pro-aborts ran amok,” our Legislative Director quipped. “The Spectrum Theatre caved.”
The documentary is called “Blood Money” and was made, in part, by a local, independent film-maker. Originally set to premiere May 5th and 6th at the Spectrum Theatre in Albany, the theatre canceled “after receiving phone calls from pro-abortion interests who threatened to protest and disrupt the showing of the film.” This, despite one of the showings already being sold out and demonstrating continuing strong sales.
Local advocates of the film described the situation as such:
The film contains interviews of whistle-blowing former employees of the abortion industry who expose the deceitful tactics used by the billion dollar Planned Parenthood corporation to increase its profits without regard to ethical practices.  This film has potential to be released nationally based upon its popularity in the Capitol District.
Because the film was shut down, the local film-maker, Roman Jaquez had no choice but to meet disappointed ticket holders outside the theater to refund their money.
Nonetheless, enthused pro-lifers decided to hold a prayer vigil outside the theater during the original show times. They claimed to represent a threefold message:
  • [To] support full rights of pre-born human beings.
  • [To show that we] are unhappy about how threats of protests are stifling the free speech rights of Roman, a local independent film maker.
  • [To] support a heroic artist who is standing up to threats by supporters of a billion dollar industry attempting to prevent its former employees from revealing its unethical practices.
Events taking place this week in Albany are truly disturbing for a number of reasons. Foremost, it illustrates the tremendous lengths pro-abortion interests will go to spin every pro-life message into an evil caricature — in this case, something not even worthy of free speech. This is a tactic not about “choice,” of course, but ensuring the societal view toward the pro-life cause as “evil” and “anti-woman” while abortion is “standard” and “uncontroversial.”
Relatedly, what this incident demonstrates is the concerning trend among leftists to deny legitimate political speech by their opponents; this, despite the fact that their modus operandi is making political points in the most outrageous manner imaginable. Somehow, sending symbolic coat hangers to politicians is an acceptable form of expression, yet a film exposing the realities of the abortion industry is utterly impermissible. What possible sense is there in this?
Take a look at the trailer below and judge for yourself if the film is unfit for the silver screen. It looks to provide a fascinating account of the unseemly history and practices of the American abortion movement. Such a perspective has generally enjoyed pitiable publicity. With enough support (which you can lend here), the film can go national.
