CBN: Twin survives abortion ...amazing story

Nashville: I am right to life......young team scores well!

Nashville Dispatch – Day 4

If you’ve been following our Twitter feed, you already know that our team from SAGU placed third in the 36.DV Challenge with their “I Am National Right to Life” ad.

Krystle, Danielle, Richie and Jason face the judges during the wrap-up for the
36.DV Challenge at NRB11.
To recap: beginning at 9pm Friday night, the team comprise of Krystle Sonmore, Danielle Chambers, Jason Rutel and Richie Kotwica (under the watchful guidance of their faculty advisor Rob Price) had 36 hours to come up with a promotional ad for NRLC.  In that time they had to familiarize themselves with our work, conceptualize the ad, storyboard it, script it, film it, edit it, code it and turn it in by 9am Sunday morning (they submitted the final cut at 8:59am :) ).
The iNRB judges evaluated all five video projects based on content and technical excellence and announced the winners during the iNRB awards ceremony last night.  The top three videos were all within a few points of each other.  Even though our team didn’t take 1st place (and the $150 cash prize for each student that went with it), they placed first in our eyes for all of their hard work.

Our winning team from SAGU: Richie Kotwica, Danielle Chambers, Jason Rutel,
and Krystle Sonmore.
And now, the team’s video…”I Am National Right to Life”:

Liberal area of Nashville not even friendly for marchers for PP

Fox 17 Nashville  ran a story of a Walk for Choice  that took place in liberal East Nashville. It was a pretty bland piece filled with all the talking points given to him from PP. But I take exception to his saying there were over 100....more like 30 I would say. But the real take away is the fact that in liberal east Nashville  they had detractors and people who wanted to point out they did not support them and some even called them baby killers....my they must really be in trouble if they cannot march in that liberal area. Of course they wanted to focus on health care and birth control and stay away from the a word and stuck with the talking points that PP saves lives...hummm....not so much for the 383,000 babies....

"Several people in the area said they don't support the walkers or their position, however they would not appear on camera.  But some of the participants of today's event say others were much more vocal on this divisive issue.

“People like to yell baby killers but that's really not what Planned Parenthood stands for,” Bartley said."

PP spends $200K for ad that does not even mention abortion... are they ashamed??

According to Jim Geraghty, Planned Parenthood will be spending $200k to play the ad below which stresses their need for tax dollars. Notably missing is any mention of the a-word: are  they ashamed that they are the largest abortion provider? And if you watched this would you get the impression that they do mammograms. They do not!! And guess what?? All these services are available free at your local county health dept. Remember the Planned Parenthood staffer talking to someone she thought was a manager  of underage sex workers when she said you can go to the health dept. and get STD testing  and treatment for free and we charge $160.

Contrasting the angry pro choice walk with the joy of demonstrating for life

Pro Life flash mobs surprises pro abortion demonstration...you know one thing I notice is that those advocating for life demonstrate joy while those who are advocating for abortion demonstrate anger. I love how the youth are pro life...they realize that a third of their generation is missing....Life what a beautiful choice.

Description from Mommy Life:

Pro-Life Flash Mob in Chicago Surprises "Walk for Choice" CHICAGO - A pro-abortion "Walk for Choice" rally was held in downtown Chicago's Daley Plaza on Saturday, February 26, 2011. Participants of the "Walk for Choice" were protesting HR Bill 3 which limits taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood.
As a response to the "Walk for Choice," anonymous teens and young adults organized a "Pro-Life Flash Mob" over the span of a few days. The goal of the event was not to counter-protest, but to give a positive message of joy and life to Chicago.
The youth assembled inconspicuously around the plaza before the rally hiding their giant yellow balloons in black trash bags. When the "Walk for Choice" had assembled, the youth prompted by music coming from a backpack sound system then proceeded to unveil the helium balloons imprinted with the word "LIFE."
These exclusive videos shows the "Pro-Life Flash Mob" taking the "pro-choicers" by surprise with Life, Spirit, and Truth!
As participants of the "Walk for Choice" were asked to wear orange for the event, so the Pro-Life flash mob jovially asks in their sign: "ORANGE YOU GLAD TO SEE US???"
Which side has more joy?

Say What?? Good News: Abortion is Safer than Having Baby…Except for the Baby

Cross posted at http://www.verumserum.com/?p=22019.
Talk about picking  your words carefully to get the desired result rather than tell the whole truth...

The Telegraph is reporting that the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the U.K. has drafted a document providing doctors, nurses and counselors with various pieces of guidance and advice to be passed on to women considering an abortion.
According to the Telegraph, the first recommendation on what women need to know is:
“Women should be advised that abortion is generally safer than continuing a pregnancy to term.”
Interesting.  I can only assume this statement is from the woman’s perspective only, seeing as though I am pretty sure that abortion is a lot LESS safe for the baby waiting to be born.
The current advice page on the Royal College site, which appears to have been updated in 2004, also offers this tidbit:
Some studies suggest that women who have had an abortion may be more likely to have psychiatric illness or to self-harm than other women who give birth or are of a similar age. However, there is no evidence that these problems are actually caused by the abortion; they are often a continuation of problems a woman has experienced before.
Isn’t this just a creative use of language to avoid the actual question as to whether abortion has psychiatric/psychological affects on the women.
This is a bit like saying that there is no proof that jumping off a 20 story building kills you since the sudden stop complicates that determination.

Knox county, TN resolves parents complaints about PP by not allowing any outsiders to present sex ed info

Knox County, TN reports that following complaints from parents about the presentation Planned Parenthood that they have decided to cancel all outside groups from presenting and will use their own educators along with reps from the local health dept. I am not usually a fan of the educators from the Health Dept. because they are pretty much Planned Parenthood lite.

"Outside agencies will no longer be able to provide information to students about human sexuality under a decision made public Friday by Knox County Schools Superintendent Jim McIntyre.
The presentations will be conducted by the district's health educators and members of the Knox County Health Department."
The review, which involved staff from the school system, the Health Department and Carson-Newman College, found that Planned Parenthood's curriculum was "generally … very appropriate and tightly aligned with specific academic standards required within the Tennessee curriculum."
McIntyre added that because the group's website was shared with students, its contents were also inspected.
The site "did contain material that was outside what is approved in the Tennessee Family Life curriculum, and provided links to material that would clearly be inappropriate for classroom use and could understandably have been regarded as objectionable by some parents," he said in his memo.

Lamar Advertising Executive admits that content of NYC billboard not offensive and factually accurage but bowed to pressure from pro abortion interests...

Wow, t his is really interesting from the Lamar Advertising Executive... he admits the information is factually accurate by their own investigation and that the content is not offensive but they took it down because of pressure from abortion supporting groups including politicians.  They acknowledge they have never done this before.

Pro-Life Billboard Removed, Exclusive Interview with Lamar Advertising Exec

Posted by David Shedlock at 7:19 am Add comments
Feb 262011
Billboards usually stay up at least a month, and often longer, depending on the contract between an advertiser and the ad company.  A controversial ad placed in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City by the pro-life group Life Always lasted a whole week before the ad company took it down due to complaints of harassment towards the wait staff in the restaurant the billboard is attached to and the threats of protests by Al Sharpton and others.
The billboard shows a young black girl, Anissa Fraser, and the copy reads: “The Most Dangerous Place for an African American is in the Womb.”  It is believed to have been placed, in part, because of Black History Month, and in part because recently statistics were released that showed that 60% of pregnancies among blacks end in abortion.  It is located near a Pl nned Parenthood.
Anissa’s mother was also angry that the stock photo image of her daughter was used by the anti-abortion group. It is not clear whether the ad agency or the pro-life group picked the photograph.   New York resident and professor Darcy Merritt thinks the whole idea of the ad is an atrocity.  Press coverage did not report what Merritt thought about the high rate of black children being murdered in their wombs in New York.
Caffeinated Thoughts interviewed spokesman Hal Kilshaw, from Lamar Advertising in Baton Rouge, Louisiana about the billboard controversy.
Mr. Kilshaw admits that this was the first time a billboard had been removed once the copy had been accepted and the billboard placed.  The policy makers at the company planning on meeting next week to determine direction for the future, but Kilshaw is confident that the company will continue to allow controversial billboards, as long as they are factually correct and not offensive.  In the past, Lamar has accepted ads from Playboy, but denied some ad content from an Atheist group.
Here are highlights of the 12-minute interview*:
HK:  “We have a policy about accepting copy from our clients that may be considered controversial. We think it’s important to realize our clients have an important first amendment right to express their point of view unless we think it is factually inaccurate or offensive we try to run it.  And if they present some copy that we think may be problematic we work with them to change it, so we think it’s important to put up copy.  We looked at this copy in advance, it fully complied with our policy and we decided to post it.
CT: We’re referring now to the anti-abortion billboard that’s in a black neighborhood in New York, correct?
HK: I don’t know that it’s a black neighborhood, I understand it’s in SoHo. I am not aware if that’s a black neighborhood or not to be honest with you.
CT: Tell me a little bit about that particular controversy and how that’s working out.
HK:   Sure. We posted that copy I guess about a week ago, roughly.  It was from a client that’s a pro-life organization.  They presented the copy to us and we looked at their website.  Apparently the abortion rate is higher among African Americans than it is in other ethnic populations, so we decided to go ahead and run the copy.   We’ve gotten push-back from folks who are pro-choice.  They don’t think its apparently okay for pro-life people to express their opinion. And we’ve got some push-back from folks who thought it was racist, but we didn’t think it was racist to present, you know, statistically verifiable information
CT: I understand the billboard has been taken down though, right?
HK: It came down last night, that’s correct.
CT: Why was it taken down?
HK:  Our general manager got a call from not the person that issues us the space but has the billboard and said that some employees, the wait staff actuallyof a restaurant in the building where the billboard is, had been harassed, that concerned him. Then he understood there would be a protest today and he was concerned about, you know, further harassment of the folks in the area.  It’s a public safety issue.  In the interest of being careful and being considerate of the community in that area we decided to take it down yesterday.
CT: When there are billboards that are close to businesses do those businesses have a veto power…
HK: Of course, not
CT: It wasn’t the content, but the harassment and the protests?
HK:  Not the protest itself, we are not concerned about protest, people certainly have the right to protest.  That wasn’t the issue.  We had harassment issues yesterday…In the abundance of caution our New York manager decided to take it down….A few years ago we were a little more sensitive to what we take and decline copy that was thought to be controversial….but our CEO says we’re not going to decline copy just because it’s controversial as long as it’s factually accurate and not in poor taste to take it.
CT: What about a heckle veto?   What’s to stop someone from raising a little raucus…threatening to harass….
HK: Let me tell you, we are concerned about that because of this instance. We’ve never had an instance of that before that I’m aware of…. We’re gonna meet on it next week.  We’ve got to develop a new policy….The situation in New York’s a little different than most places.  This billboard was attached to the side of a building that had tenants….most places they are on a steel pole, forty or fifty feet above the ground.
CT: Did somebody make threats?
HK: No.  The harassment made our manager nervous…We’ve never had anybody harass before…
CT: Knowing human nature, now you’ll have lots of people harass people about billboards….because it was successful.
HK: Absolutely, we are certainly concerned about that, that’s why we will address it in the near future…. If you want to call me back in a week, I’ll be glad to tell you what we decided.

Because it's the truth....can't bear to watch it but allow it to go on with our tax $$

Because it is  the truth....how I cringed when I thought they were going to show the bunnies getting killed and how we just go on everyday when it is a baby...

OR:Pro-Abortion Domestic Terrorist Arrested, Jailed By FBI For Threats Against Pro-lifers

Will MSNBC call out Rachel Maddow ??

Written by Operation Rescue

New York, New York – The Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested abortion supporter Theodore Shulman, 49, yesterday and charged him with communicating interstate threats against two pro-life activists. He is currently being held without bond at Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in New York City, a Federal holding facility.
While the complaint against Shulman was filed under seal, Operation Rescue has been informed that the case involved two pro-life activists who are simply referred to as Victim 1 and Victim 2. Opertion Rescue is withholding the identities of the victims in order to protect their safety.
In addition to the two victims listed in the Federal complaint, Operation Rescue’s Troy Newman and Cheryl Sullenger, as well as blogger Jill Stanek and speaker/activist Bryan Kemper of Stand True have also been the brunt of Shulman’s threats. Shulman hounded Sullenger, in particular, over a two year time-span. He ran a blog site under the name “Operation Counterstrike” that fomented hatred and attempted to encourage “pro-choice” supporters to murder pro-lifer activists.
Shulman is also the object of a Federal investigation in Wichita, Kansas, which could result in additional charges being filed against Shulman for making serious death threats against Operation Rescue staff members.
“This is a huge relief to us that Ted Shulman is behind bars where he belongs,” said Sullenger. “He often posted threatening comments to our web site and called me on my cell phone too many times to count. He was always brazen in his threats and openly identified himself, telling us not to bother calling the FBI because they would never do anything for us. Thankfully, he was wrong about that, and we hope that, in addition to his New York charges, he will also be charged in Kansas.”
“We continue to work with the FBI on the Shulman case and on other cases of death threats we have received. We take every threat seriously and have taken extra security precautions to insure our safety.
Threats to Operation Rescue have increased in recent weeks after MSNBC talk show host Rachel Maddow repeatedly targeted the group by airing inaccurate and inflammatory information that has incited the threats against Operation Rescue staff members’ lives.

Say what????

Great spoofing from Andy Moore  and Jill Stanek.com.... in his own words....just a different order.

Instead of trust women .....it should be thank heaven for little girls !!!

Talk about a witch hunt.....you only have to report statutory rape if there harm to the child and the treating dr. can use his/her discretion to determine if harm to the child exists....Kline: what?? child has been raped, gets pregnant and has an abortion and you are deciding whether or not there has been harm?

Of 166 known cases of underage rape and PP reported 1 and Tiller reported 1. So in all the other cases including a 10 year old no "harm" to the girl has been reported. PP and the late Tiller hid behind the privacy argument between dr. and patient. Let the patients come!!! Bring them in....age is no barrier....bring cash please!! Trust Women indeed.....it should be thank heaven for little girls.....

NYC: The most dangerous place to speak the truth???

CNN reports...It is a tragedy that to tell the truth is considered an affront to public safety. The actual statistics speak for themselves but those who dare to speak the truth and stand up for the voiceless are the ones being harassed and targeted.

Pro life blogger, Jill Stanek, tweeted and face-booked last night on information given to her by the FBI that  a radical anti life blogger who made specific threats against those who took a stand for life was arrested in NYC and bail refused. More details may come out today about specifically what he did . But that ties into this story in that  a pro life group is daring to speak the truth about the tragedy of abortion in the African American community and the billboard they erected which shows a picture of an innocent looking girl is being taken down against the sponsors wishes out of  fear of public safety.  The abortion industry is angry and obviously Lamar Advertising feels that they must know a  thing or two about violence since  they took the advertisement down. Truth pricks the conscience.

ON WI...NOT...how anti life can you get??

Amazingly enough,  the other night as I was preparing dinner I received a phone call from my Alma mater in WI wanting a contribution. Well, it did not take long for me to let them know I was not happy with what they were supporting and not to expect any contribution from me.  From Pro Life Wis as if WI isn't in the news enough! And I am not talking about unions!  On the life front we have  UW-Madison’s list of pro-life offenses...

"UW-Madison engages in embryonic stem cell research, proposes using aborted baby parts for research, attempts to partner with Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin to provide late-term abortions, and as an upcoming event indicates, is now pushing physician-assisted suicide on the state of Wisconsin. All of this on the taxpayer’s dime...  You will notice the discussion is no longer, “Is euthanasia morally wrong?” but is instead, “Helping Patients Die Who Are Not Terminally Ill.”

Detroit Hospital declines to comment but refuses to accept Baby Joseph

Life News tells the latest on Baby Joseph in that a Detroit hospital is refusing to accept Baby Joseph in a setback for the parents who want a trach performed so they can  take Joseph home for his final days. The  Canadian hospital feels that the procedure is too risky but they want to remove all life support which ensure death?? The father also argues that to remove life support will cause their son to die by choking which he finds unacceptable. How incredibly sad. This is not a question of saving his life...all understand that he is dying but it is about who decides the  who has the right to make end of life decisions...the family or the hospital.

PP report for 2009 sums it up: 340 abortions for every one adoption referral and 47 abortions for every one prenatal care client.

Planned Parenthood report released shows that business for the abortion provider is up...as  those that walked away from the industry has told us repeatedly...the money is in selling abortions. Per Abby Johnson, the other services is to increase foot traffic.
"Planned Parenthood has increased its share of the abortion industry to 27.6 percent of all abortions done annually.
The new document the abortion organization posted shows Planned Parenthood provided prenatal services to merely 7,021 women and referred only 977 women for adoption services. These numbers were a 25 percent drop in prenatal care clients and a whopping 59 percent decline in adoption referrals from the 2,405 adoption referrals in 2008. The abortion business helped only 9,433 prenatal clients in 2008, down substantially from the 11,000 women it provided prenatal care to in 2007 — showing health care given to pregnant woman has fallen substantially over the years."

Why does PP talking points include deception? It's all about the money...

Cecile Richards misleads: Planned Parenthood does NOT provide mammograms

On February 21, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards appeared on pro-abort Joy Behar’s talk show.
While attention has been drawn to the fact Behar disparaged pro-lifers on that particular program as “illogical… evil… immoral… unethical… and stupid,” (4:25-4:40 on video below), something more important was said. Richards through word parsing implied that Planned Parenthood provides mammograms and that defunding PP would defund mammograms. View 3:57-4:12:

Richards said:

If this bill ever becomes law, millions of women in this country are going to lose their health care access, not to abortion services, to basic family planning – you know, mammograms, cancer screenings, cervical cancer.
The fact is not one Planned Parenthood in America performs mammograms. All PPs do are refer for mammograms.
So while Richards was technically correct to add the word “access” before citing mammograms as a service PP provides, I guarantee no one understood her to say anything other than PP performs mammograms, when actually all PP does is merely write down the name of a place to go for mammograms. From PP’s website:

Here’s more misleading word parsing, this from PP of Southeast Iowa. Read carefully. Now you know what to look for (bold highlights theirs)…

But, as Matthew Balan pointed out at Newsbusters, there are 1,200 Federally Qualified Health Centers that provide the same care PP does – plus mammograms – along with providing other health care services for the entire family. FQHCs provide much more comprehensive care.
Meanwhile, PP and its supporters perpetuate this deception all the time, for instance Jehmu Greene on The O’Reilly Factor, February 2, Scroll to 1:35…

Here’s an editorial – posted just today – by the Muhlenberg Weekly Executive Board:
By eliminating the $75 million in federal funding, the government would be robbing one in five American women of reproductive healthcare. If this bill becomes a law, Planned Parenthood would cease to exist, and women all over the country would no longer have access to mammograms, cancer screenings, and sex education, among other things.
Pro-lifers need to call PP and its cheerleaders out every time they try to imply PP performs mammograms. PP is trying to make Americans think that poor and minority women in particular will lose access to mammograms if PP is defunded, which is absolutely false.

College in TN honors Margaret Sanger....why??

Columbia State Community College in Columbia, TN  is hosting a presentation  honoring Margaret Sanger  who advocated Eugenics and started the Planned Parenthood. Is she someone to be honored and revered? Let's look at some of her quotes...

"The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it."
Margaret Sanger, Women and the New Race
(Eugenics Publ. Co., 1920, 1923)

On the extermination of blacks:
"We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population," she said, "if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." Woman's Body, Woman's Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America, by Linda Gordon

(Columbia, Tenn. – February 17, 2011) - - - Columbia State Community College will host Celebrating Our Diverse Heritage I. The series of presentations will be held on select Thursday evenings throughout February, March, and April from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Ledbetter Auditorium. The series is free and open to the public.

Margaret Sanger and the Conception of the Birth Control Movement will be held on Thursday, February 24. Margaret Sanger, the “Rebel Woman” coined the term “birth control” during a period of American history when the discussion of birth control was illegal even between physicians and patients. Adrienne Skora, Instructor of History at Columbia State, will introduce letters, diaries, newspaper accounts, legislative laws and writings of Margaret Sanger to provide a clearer picture of the conception of the birth control movement and the obstacles faced by Margaret Sanger and the women of her day.

Phill Kline: Internal report shows it was a witch hunt all along....

This is what you get when you mess with Planned Parenthood and  the abortion industry. You get a witch hunt. This shocking article lays it all out.
"The state's disciplinary board for lawyers concealed for 20 months an internal investigative report concluding no probable cause existed to justify ethics complaints against former Attorney General Phill Kline tied to his criminal inquiries into abortion clinics."
"...the document would have been valuable during his unsuccessful August 2008 election campaign for Johnson County district attorney and would have contributed over ensuing years to countering claims he overstepped ethical boundaries as a prosecutor. "
political vendetta than of any real concern about defective professional ethics."
He remains convinced Planned Parenthood committed felonies to cover up misdemeanor record-keeping shortcomings and believes Tiller authorized illegal late-term abortions and inadequately reported medical justification for the procedure.
In addition, Kline insists a campaign to track down perpetrators of child sex offenders, based on records of about 600 abortions performed on 14- or 15-year-old girls, was undermined by political maneuvering of Democratic Gov. Kathleen Sebelius and Democratic Attorney General Paul Morrison.

Rep: Speier: acknowledges a miscarriage but for the purposes of supporting the pro aborts, she had an abortion.

Of course, it was a miscarriage not an abortion.....quite different but the MSM is spinning it just the way an abortion industry wanted it to. She miscarried, meaning that they removed a dead baby from her not  a living and growing baby....

by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat
  • Congresswoman Jackie Speier has a piece in the Huffington Post which seems to indicate that she didn’t have an abortion but rather a D&E to remove a miscarried child: You admit guilt, but for me there was no guilt, only the pain of a pregnancy that did not work. The fetus had slipped from my uterus into my vagina and could not survive. To stave off a life-threatening infection and to keep the possibility of a future birth alive, I had what’s called dilation and evacuation or “d & e.” But for people, particularly my colleagues who don’t want Planned Parenthood to be funded, I simply had an abortion.

Canada: Family fights to bring baby home to die

Secular Pro Life follows this sad story of a Canadian infant,  Joseph, declared to be in a  persistent vegetative state .  The dispute is where he will die since all agree the condition is terminal. The family is requesting a tracheotomy be performed so he can be taken home for his final days like his sister  who had a similar condition. The hospital is resisting stating they will just remove life support. The judge sided with  the hospital and the date was set for a day in Canada  that is celebrated as "Family Day."

An update, probably due to negative publicity states that baby may be transferred  to a hospital in Michigan. Since Canada has universal health care  the term "death panels"  comes  to mind  when reading this account.
Do doctors’ rights now trump parental rights?” asked Jim Hughes, national president of Campaign Life Coalition.  “And what about the dignity of the child to die in the loving arms of his parents at home?

In a further update, the transfer to a MI hospital is not certain. The family is also being aided in its fight by Alex Schadenberg, president of the Euthanisia Prevention Coalition, who said the doctors and the courts "have gone too far" in the case.
"This family wasn't asking for extraordinary medical treatment . There were willing to care for the baby at home and, to me, this is a reasonable request. To me, this is a question of who has the right to decide and I'm concerned the decisions that have been made set a precedence in place that the doctors now have more powers than they did in the past," he said. "The balance of power has shifted too far. The courts have gone beyond where they belong.
"This was not an extraordinary request (to bring the baby home.)"
