Memphis Planned Parenthood loves being edgy: advertising free condoms near elementary school.....future customers
Sure cause we want to start indoctrinating elementary school students young to fool around. No consequences sex is what Planned Parenthood is saying...cause if you get pregnant we can give you an abortion and that is where the real money is. So free condoms....no problem. Your parents tax money is paying for us to give away this freebie. Next round is for the govt. to pay for your abortions. What a business model. Planned Parenthood.....no shame!

Memphis woman drives drunk while pregnant and charged with child/fetus endangerment
Fetus endangerment or child endangerment...which is it?? I wonder if she said she was on her way to the abortion clinic they would have charged her.
Memphis area woman four months pregnant is stopped for drunk driving and is charged with child endangerment to her unborn child. The news reports both in print and on TV news uses child and fetus interchangeably. Interesting that she was below the limit for TN statue on viability.

Memphis Editorial calls legislators and school administrators "prissy fools" for promoting abstinence
Shelby County TN (Memphis) has one of the highest teen birth rates in the nation. Yet the Commercial Appeal writes an editorial calling educators and legislators "prissy fools" for acknowledging their sex ed methods have not worked and agonizing over the new law that went into effect on July 1st.
"According to The Urban Child Institute's data book on children in Shelby County, one in six births in Shelby County is to a mother in her teens."Planned Parenthood has enjoyed a free reign over the students for years and the results have not been stellar. They start out with the premise that everyone is having sex and move quickly in techniques to satisfy yourself and your partner(s) and circumvent pregnancy. Except everyone understands that in the heat of the moment the best laid plans...well you know. So pregnancy and STI's are off the chart. Now Planned Parenthood has the answer for the pregnancy part and their revenue stream of abortion on demand is a well oiled machine. Don't want your parents to know...we have a friendly judge with a judicial bypass for you. Don't want to tell the judge the true age of the man who impregnated you.....our counselors can prep you on how to lie about his age. Hey, we were even caught on camera doing that. But with all those pregnancies some choose not to abort and the end result is borne out in the statistics that are a national crisis. So what is the definition of insanity...doing the same thing and expecting different results.
The shrieking editorial has a fit that parents have more control over the sex ed their minor child is being taught. Shocking....after all it is their child. The editorial thinks it should be up there with the 3 R's. regardless of what parents think. Next the new word of the day is nonabstinence is introduced to us.
"The law forbids participation in the classes by groups that promote nonabstinence."How is that for a new word...... nonabstinence. Is that how the style book at the Commercial Appeal says to say screwing around or the F word??? Actually tried to look it up in the urban dictionary. Nope not there. But the unmitigated nerve of kicking out those who promote sex???
That is the part that angers Planned Parenthood and their friendlies. Why if Planned Parenthood can't go in and give them cards with their number on it to text for private sex info ..there goes there marketing strategy.
Prissy fools...says the editorial.....wonder if they had a day long meeting in the editorial board room to come up with that wise statement.

Memphis stands up for Religious Freedom on June 8th...

Pruett had 300 programs printed and taken so he felt that the actual number was closer to 200. I can tell him from previous experience that if a liberal abortion supporting newspaper like the Commercial Appeal said there was 150 there, you can bet there were at least 300. However, the CA did do a fair reporting piece although no news stations covered the event.
I commend Pruett for obtaining the diversity of speakers for this event.
"Often billed as a Catholic issue, speakers at the rally represented a more diverse slice of the religious community and included Chip Jones, permanent deacon with the Catholic Diocese of Memphis; Father John Troy Mashburn, pastor of St. John Orthodox Church; Sue Parker, CEO of Life Choices Inc.; and Calvin Shaw with the American Muslim Intercultural Network."
" Religion is based on principle. Politics is based on compromise," Shaw said. "So people in politics can't ask religious people to compromise your principles."Congratulations Kent and all those who took a stand on June 8th.

Pro Life Action League: Dozens Protest the War on Women
This is cross posted at Pro Life Action League.
I agree with his analysis is that even a beautiful day their numbers were paltry....it could be their muddled messages. I was unable to attend the one in Nashville and searched for coverage and went to their public Facebook page to see their photos which I posted and they objected but hey, they would only post flattering photos right?? They should have been happy for the coverage because only Channel 5 covered them in online and no video that I could find and their one and only photo was not flattering at all....a lone speaker with a bullhorn?
They warned me not to post pictures with children in them which I did not and it made me wonder if it was not a good rally to bring kids to. Since they had so many sponsors endorsing them...and a beautiful day in most cities...is this non response surprising??
I will be out of country on June 8th and hope someone will step up in Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga. I see Memphis is on the list...good for them. I can tell you PLAL gives you all the guidance
you need and from someone who never put on a rally before the hardest part was getting the word out...but I as expecting 75-100 since it was a work day but I think our final reported count was 700.
Thousands Dozens Protest the “War on Women”
Posted by Matt Yonke (May 1, 2012 at 8:11 am)

One of last weekend’s “Unite Women” rallies juxtaposed with one of last month’s “Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rallies
As the picture indicates, the response was paltry. Even in New York City, where thousands gathered on March 23 in defense of religious freedom, only a few hundred showed up to protest.
They may have had a few B-list celebrity speakers, but they were pitching their muddled message to largely empty audiences. Outside of some talk about the so-called “war on women”, their message was as scattered as could be.
Unite Women for What?
At some Rallies it was about Planned Parenthood’s funding, others were about the wave of pro-life legislation that’s been sweeping the country, some about women making less money than men, still others were about the imaginary “crisis” in the availability of contraception. With such an unclear message, it’s hardly surprising that the media largely ignored the event—even with the National Organization for Women’s PR juggernaut behind the events. Most of the coverage they received was from “women’s health” related websites and even there it was scarce. Google News search results don’t go past one page!
Unite Women a Sharp Contrast to Stand Up Rally
The disorganization of this effort as evidenced in their shoddy messaging, poor attendance and lackluster media coverage is a sharp counterpoint to the Stand Up Rally effort. To say nothing of the messages on their signs, most of which are too vulgar to publish here. The Stand Up Rallies were designed from the outset to welcome participation from families, children and young people. I can only imagine how parents or folks from times with more decorum would feel at one of the Unite Women Rallies.
All of this shows exactly what League National Director Joe Scheidler has been saying for years: They might have the money and the political clout, but the other side just doesn’t have the grassroots.
A Beautiful Day To Yell at the Government
Martha Plimpton, TV actress of limited renown, summed the situation up nicely when she tweeted after attending the New York rally that it was, ” . . . a beautiful day to yell at the government.” And that seems to be precisely what was accomplished on Saturday: sound and fury, signifying nothing. But while their event has sputtered out, the Stand Up effort has just begun. Mark your calendar for the June 8 Rally and bring your friends, bring your neighbors, bring your parish, bring your school.
Check here for a Rally near you, and if you don’t see one, consider signing on to become the Rally Captain in your town. The National Rally team will be there every step of the way to make sure your event is a success.

Memphis native Rev.Veazey is paid well to support abortions
This came from Jill Stanek.com but I wanted to highlight it also. It makes me so mad to think that NPR gets any tax money. They are disgusting in their bias and editing of the tape shows it.
Rev. Veazey CEO of Memphis who gets paid a cool $183,000 a year for working only 5 hours a week as CEO of Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice which Veasey denied. NPR edited that point.
However, the IRS Form 990 doesn’t lie.
Ryan is such an asset to the pro life movement. I admire that way he can remain calm and has excellent points to make.

TN: Shelby Co Health Dir. will take Title X $$ mo. to mo. but not rule out using PP
The Commercial Appeal writes that Shelby County Dept. of Health Director, Yvonne Madlock has told her boss that she will accept the Title X funds ($1.345 MM )like the other 94 counties in TN but on a month to month basis. She continues to insist that she will not rule out subcontracting the work out to other vendors INCLUDING Planned Parenthood. Obviously she is willing to go to the mat for PP and I have to wonder why??? One of the commenters who is a nurse points out....

Memphis: Couple changes mind on abortion but PP wants $100 for visit...
40 Days for Life reports....a save and PP says you still owe us $100.....
MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE
——————————————————-
A young couple had arrived for an appointment at Planned Parenthood in Memphis. On their way into the building, they declined to talk. But a little while later, the man walked outside.
This time, one of the counselors was able to strike up a conversation. He confirmed that the young woman was there for an abortion. The counselor gave him information about resources that are available in Memphis. He thanked her and went back inside.
Less than ten minutes later, the couple walked out of Planned Parenthood. The young man raised his arms, smiled and exclaimed, “We’re not going to do it!”
The vigil participants waved as the couple drove off. But then they made a quick stop and circled back into the parking lot. It seems they’d gotten a phone call from Planned Parenthood. They may have called off the abortion, but they still owed $100 for the clinic visit!
That should tell you something about Planned Parenthood.
“But this did not dampen the young father’s spirits,” said Kerry in Memphis. “Before he drove off again, he gave two thumbs-up to the vigil-goers.”

Memphis: teen pregnancy rate twice the national average but $$ flows for same old programs .
Talk about a target rich environment for Planned Parenthood ! Memphis now has the distinction of having a teen pregnancy rate that fluctuates between 15 and 20 percent, twice the national average and in one high school in Memphis the per cent is up to 26%. This would be Frayser HS in North Memphis where is a Title One School meaning that 100% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunches. Most are headed by single female parent.
At this point the only answer offered seems to be to do the same thing with more money thrown in ( like a $250,000 advertising program ) and hope/expect different results. Isn't that the definition of insanity? Just add more comprehensive sex ed, birth control hand outs and hope for the best. Add to that the Planned Parenthood sites like Take Care Down There that is as close to porn as you can get. Add that to PP counselors advising a girl posing as a minor pregnant by a much older man wanting an abortion without her parents knowledge to lie in order to get a judicial bypass for permission for an abortion and this result is predictable. I post t his video to remind you it is high time to defund Planned Parenthood. They have had their way in Memphis long enough. Why continue to fund failed programs?

Also, I have to wonder about the accuracy of the number of family planning visits PP throws out there in an attempt to save the tax $$ from flowing in.....I recall how Abby Johnson stated that as a PP Dir. they manipulated stats to their favor such as counting 12 mos. supply of bc pills as 12 visits . When PP is caught in over billing charges to Medicaid...this other information spills out.
For instance, an article in the Tennessean, a PP supporting newspaper, recently printed an article about a lawyer who is currently in litigation with PP of LA for over billing the govt. for $180 MM for bc pills and other meds.
And let us not forget the Memphis PP that made the news and distinguished themselves....
