  • Moral Outcry remarks on the hypocrisy of a society which allows abortion and yet condemns the recent actions of an Indian mother who delivered premature twins (boy and girl) and practiced her own version of sex selection by dropping her daughter out the hospital window to her death.
  • Pro-Life Action League takes us down memory lane to October 2005 when then Sen. Barack Obama denounced PLAL’s campaign to get American Girl to sever ties with pro-abortion Girls Inc. as “silly” and an “overreaction.”

Lincoln Davis: tested and did not bow to Pelosi pressure on the issue of LIFE

There is much consternation  and press over the battle brewing with the Pro Life Democrats....12 of them   fell under pressure from Obama and Pelosi . As my previous post touched on the battle that has landed in the courts and amazingly ACLU of OH sided with the pro life Susan B Anthony on the issue of free speech and their right to campaign on this issue. Susan B. Anthony is targeting those who threw  their pro life credentials  under the bus when the going got tough and voted for Obamacare. They  tried to hide behind the sham fig leaf of  an Executive Order.

TN  Right to Life remains a non partisan single issue advocacy organization and despite rumors to the contrary do support true pro life Democrats.  They know a thing or two about pressure to compromise on the  issue of Life.

With all the chatter of those who caved,  there is not much mention of those few who stood....one is here in TN. Lincoln Davis (D) represents the 4th district. He is  running for reelection in a year when being an incumbent is a clear disadvantage.  Lincoln, despite intense  Washington pressure,  maintains a 100% voting record for Life.  Wow...that is no small accomplishment inside the beltway with a Democratic controlled Congress and White House.  Many have fallen for empty  promises and gotten trapped... just ask  Bart Stupak.

Here's to one who stood for the sanctity of life under pressure-100% of the time. Thank you Lincoln Davis.  Tested and not found wanting.....

Judge rules lawsuit against Susan B Anthony may continue

CNS article reveals that Driehaus and other Democrats who voted for Obamacare can continue to pursue their lawsuit that blocks billboards (shown left)  by groups such as Susan B Anthony List re: their vote for the Healthcare Law.

The SBA List had planned to run billboards reading “Shame on Steve Driehaus! Driehaus voted FOR taxpayer-funded abortion.”
Steve Driehaus does not want his constituents to hear that he voted for a bill that provides for tax dollars to pay for abortions, but the fact that he did is a position held by the National Right to Life Committee, Americans United for Life, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Ohio Right to Life and numerous other organizations and policy experts,” she stated. “We will pursue this case to the end and are confident the truth will prevail.”
Dannenfelser voiced agreement with the Ohio American Civil Liberties Union (Ohio ACLU) that the law gives a state agency the ability to police free speech.
Speaking to CNA last week, she said the legal case is one where “a backroom deal could completely wipe out an organization.”
Kristen Day of Democrats for Life has thrown her lot in with the Dems under attack and continues to insist that the Healthcare bill will not fund abortions.  The writer of Secular Pro Life blog smartly asked her why they don't have a problem supporting   IL Dan Lipinski (D) who is pro life and voted against the bill .

He, by the way,  enjoys the support of SBA. Day skirted the issue and said that they supported Lipinski who did not vote for the Healthcare bill because of the abortion issue. So which is it?
Intrigued, I asked where Lipinski fits into all of this. Day responded that "Dan Lipinski is a friend of DFLA and a friend of mine. We have a very good working relationship. We support and endorse Congressman Lipinski."

A good non answer. This should be interesting to watch. When the ACLU agrees with SBA it is an interesting issue.

AZ: will not block law mandating that doctors only perform abortions.....puts a crimp in PP assembly line style of doing business

Oh this is rich...the abortion industry is upset that law states that a dr. is to determine the age of the baby prior to abortion and actually perform the abortion and then stay on site until the  patient is  stable....this interferes with the mass production style abortions that line the pockets of those who profit from abortions.

The new rules at issue say doctors must be the ones to do everything from determining the gestational age of the fetus to a remaining on the premises until all patients undergoing any kind of surgical abortion are stable and ready to leave.

She said the shortage of qualified doctors remains. Gartner said requiring a doctor to perform the pre- and post-abortion procedures would have the same net effect as requiring a doctor to do the abortion itself: a delay in care for women.

Vote as if a life depends on it

Jeremiah: WH phone call objecting to honest opinion in interview...

David Jeremiah has fought two battles with cancer in the 1990's,  so a phone call from the White House liaison to POTUS objecting to his expressing his opinion in a radio interview hardly gets his blood pressure up.  Jeremiah was being interviewed on a radio program regarding his new book The Coming Economical Armageddon: What Bible Prophecy Warns about the New Global Economy. He was asked a question and gave an honest answer about his opinion of Obama and his policies.
In that interview, Jeremiah was asked about the direction the country is going under Barack Obama's leadership.

"I do not believe he has been an asset to our country; I don't believe he's moved us forward in a good direction, and frankly, I am praying, along with many other believers, that in this mid-term election we will find a way to slow down this train that seems to be moving us toward socialism and away from our historical moorings," Dr. Jeremiah explained. "I'm really frightened about that, and I think in that respect, I believe he's a dangerous person."

So as with Juan Williams, he finds  expressing your honest opinion gets you in trouble. Joshua DuBois, Obama's liaison to the faith based community  gets his daily Google search on people who do not fall into the "thrill up my leg "  when POTUS  speaks category and calls Jeremiah. Jeremiah does not fall on the altar of I didn't mean it and agrees to disagree with Mr. D on this issue but releases a gracious statement.

"In this important dialogue about the future of our country and the resolution of the issues that we are currently facing as a nation, there must be room for criticism and debate, and each of us should feel the responsibility to speak out. Joshua knows of my concerns and left the door open for further discussions in the future."

"Please remember to pray for our nation and for our president!"

As one interview with Jeremiah is titled ....God is everything I need... he is a man  not afraid to speak his mind  as cancer and the White House do  not scare him. What I find interesting is that the WH employs people to monitor anyone who does not fall at the altar of the POTUS.  How much longer until we cannot publicly state our honest opinion?  After all it is an opinion and you can take it or leave it. The White House obviously feels it is important to nip those opinions in the bud lest others start to notice that the emperor has no clothes.

Behar to Angle: illegals aren't voting for you *itch....I thought only citizens could vote!!

Okay, does anyone notice something about this rant from Behar on yesterday's show.....she ends her attack on Angle with saying these flowers were picked by illegal immigrants and they are not voting for you *itch........wait, are illegals voting in Nevada??? I thought only  citizens were allowed to vote....so what has this to do with the life issues. Because politicians that  Behar favors are pro abortion. And this is how they get into office.

Sharron Angle said it with flowers.

The Nevada GOP Senate nominee sent a floral arrangement to “The View” co-host Joy Behar on Wednesday, one day after Behar called Angle a “bitch,” and a “moron,” and said she’s “going to hell.”

Turns out Angle raised $150,000 on Tuesday and wanted to express her appreciation, spokesman Jarrod Agen said. The note sent to ABC’s New York studios read:
"Joy,
Raised $150,000 online yesterday — thanks for your help.
Sincerely, Sharron Angle"
Behar’s on-air attack came in response to a new Angle ad targeting Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid that Hispanic groups and lawmakers have labeled racist and Behar characterized as a “Hitler youth commercial.”

“I’d like to see her do this ad in the South Bronx. Come here, bitch. Come to New York and do it,” Behar said. “I’m not praying for her. She’s going to hell. She’s going to hell, this bitch.”

On Wednesday, Behar read Angle’s note on air, and took another jab at the candidate.
“I don’t know if it’s a sense of humor, but I’d like to point out those flowers were picked by illegal immigrants,” Behar said. “And they aren’t voting for you, bitch.”

  • Ethika Politika discusses the fallacy of claiming personhood is dependent upon the ability for “rational thought.”
  • Judie Brown reports the IA Board of Medicine’s recent meeting to discuss telemed abortions was flooded with concerned citizens and pro-life reps, despite the fact that the time for public comment was moved an hour earlier unannounced. After allowing comments from several pro-life groups, the Board postponed all further debate until next month’s meeting.
  • Moral Outcry has a “you can’t make this stuff up” headline: “When was the last time you heard of an unknowing father accidentally finding a baby in a dumpster—who turned out to be his child?”
  • Coming Home highlights a Headline Bistro article on the pain of post-abortive men as “collateral damage.”
  • Live Action links to a statement from Planned Parenthood OH taking credit for a declining abortion rate. With 134 abortions performed for every 1 adoption referral, do they really have reason to boast?

Stephanie Gray of the Canadian Centre for Bioethical Reform makes a great case for life in this video. She's a perfect example of the young talent bursting onto the scene for the pro-life cause.

Douglas Groothuis presents a non-sectarian defense for the pro-life view.

Given the upcoming elections, I thought it wise to revisit my 2008 exchange with Phil Johnson. Key questions in the exchange: 1) Are Christians too involved in politics? 2) Can pro-life evangelicals effectively engage the culture and share the gospel? On #1, Phil Johnson says yes; I say prove it. On #2, Johnson says it's doubtful; I say it's doable.

Great example of a thoughtful exchange: Patrick Lee debates David Boonin on the Ethics of abortion. Lee does a fantastic job getting to the real issues.

One News: Obama pay grade has gone up......

Barack Obama talk From OneNewsNow.com
Peter Heck - Guest Columnist - 10/25/2010 10:00:00 AM

Evidently his pay grade has gone up.  That was the astute observation of Keith Riler when he analyzed President Barack Obama's recent remarks at MTV's hour-long campaign commercial for Democrats called, "A Conversation with President Obama."

As an aside, imagine for a second MTV hosting such a conversation with former President George W. Bush.  Perhaps they could have booked Kanye West to emcee.  After slurring together a collection of incoherent ideas in his trademark fashion, West could have worked his infamous "George Bush doesn't care about black people" accusation into the presidential introduction.  It would have been far more entertaining than the Obama love-a-thon turned out to be.

But I digress.

Taking a question on sexuality (this is MTV after all), President Obama enlightened listeners with his dazzling grasp of prenatal development.  He was asked, "Dear President Obama, do you think being gay or trans[gender] is a choice?"  The President responded, "I don't think it's a choice. I think that people are born with a certain makeup, and that we're all children of God. We don't make determinations about who we love. And that's why I think that discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is wrong."

Given that such an answer is totally vacuous, dim, and void of anything even resembling rationality, it played well on MTV.  But for the rest of us, consider the implications of this foolish answer.

Even ignoring the meaningless platitude that "we're all children of God" (do those with moral objections to homosexuality not believe this also?), the stunningly ignorant remark that we don't determine who we love (don't you bet Michelle loved hearing that?), and the impossibly relativistic condemnation of discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation (does Obama really want to defend the idea of sexual anarchy?), there is an appalling inconsistency in the President's position.

This marriage might last: Woman marries herself!

Taipei woman says I do... to herself

http://www.shanghaidaily.com

CHEN Wei-yih has posed for a set of photos in a flowing white dress, enlisted a wedding planner and rented a banquet hall for a marriage celebration with 30 friends.

But there is no groom. Chen will marry herself.

Uninspired by the men she's met but facing social pressure to get married, the 30-year-old Taipei office worker will hold the reception next month in honor of just one person.

"Age 30 is a prime period for me. My work and experience are in good shape, but I haven't found a partner, so what can I do?" Chen said.

"I'm not anti-marriage. I just hope that I can express a different idea within the bounds of a tradition."

Her NT$50,000 (US$5,675) wedding comes after online publicity that has netted 1,800 largely sympathetic comments.

Taiwanese women are marrying later and less often as their economic status advances, fueling government concerns about a drop in the birth rate and its impact on productivity.

Only 40 percent of women surveyed earlier this year by education authorities said they imagined married people could live better than singles, local media said.

POTUS: Believes in the Decalaration but what about the Creator?

 Update again 10-26-10....
Obama has since restored his use of “Creator” after several media outlets drew attention to his misstatements.
Update: OnenewsNow Story: points out that there have been three times in the last month that the POTUS misquoted the Declaration.
This is the third time in just over a month that the President of the United States has left out the word "Creator" when referring to the unalienable rights granted to Americans in the Declaration. The first incident was at an event for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. The second was at a fundraiser in New York City. The third time occurred this week in Maryland, during a speech before Democratic Senate candidate donors.

Catholic Vote.org posts this piece that is really scary and thought provoking..."Obama continues his quiet war on “the Creator.”  This hasn't gotten a lot of chatter but POTUS twice misquoted the Declaration of Independence to leave out mention of Creator.

Published  text of the second time shows that it is deliberate. "For without the Creator the creature would disappear”. The authors of the Declaration of Independence understood this."

When questioned about this his press secretary, he answered that the POTUS believes in the declaration! This has implications on the sanctity of human life and reveals his thinking on the whole issue of life.

IVF: Advanced technology not always a blessing...

Honest  story from the UK (ht to Big Blue Wave) about the stresses of IVF and pitfalls. This couple   not only spent  a fortune chasing the ideal of a family but ended up divorced, terminating three of the pregnancies...one for fetal abnormality, the other  a set of twins because the marriage broke up during the pregnancy. The women is honest enough to admit her obsession and selfishness and  the pitfalls of IVF. I do have compassion for those trying to get pregnant and remember when my husband and I were trying to conceive, we talked of nothing else but my fertility cycle. There was no IVF back in those days but just small fertility treatments that were unsuccessful...however,  as often happens when we gave up trying... it happened.

I also know  a couple who conceived three children via IVF and now are faced with what to do with the frozen embryos left over. They did not ask enough questions or take a strong stand during the treaments about the number of eggs to be fertilized. You trust the doctors and are mindful of the costs. Now they don't want to donate them for adoption (can't bear the thought) and don't want them destroyed for research (again....can't bear the thought) so they remain frozen as the couple cannot envision having five more children to raise. How sad!

Another couple now in the process of a divorce spent most of their married years trying to get pregnant, being successful once .....then a miscarriage....followed by fertility treatments (unsuccessful...and adoptions). Now with the family picture finally complete  the relationship is over. Are we all chasing some elusive dream of happiness?

The women in this article  admits that her obsession contributed to breaking up the marriage as the husband despaired of ever making her happy as she tries  to put her life together with one son, three abortions and a broken marriage. A real eye opener....

I’ve read since that, according to HFEA statistics, 80 women each year have a termination following IVF, despite having gone through so much to conceive in the first place.
I would have given birth at the beginning of June, and I try to keep thoughts about the termination at the back of my mind, otherwise I feel a huge sense of loss.
A few years ago, fertility expert Lord Winston made a speech to a reproductive and genetics charity in which he said, ‘The fertility clinic is more distressing than anything else in medicine. Even if you compare it to the cancer ward, there is no contest. In my early days, I was doing a lot of the work that young doctors do, which included cancer patients. It struck me that although cancer patients were often distressed, they live with the hope that they might get better. Infertility patients don’t always have that hope: they realize that most of the time the treatment doesn’t work.’

Where did the precious feet pin idea come from??

Cross posted at Big Blue Wave

Hear the story behind the famous picture of the "Precious feet" from which the Precious Feet pins were made.
This is an important part of our history, folks. We should pass it on. All the stories-- the famous embryo at 6 weeks who swam after being pulled from an ectopic pregnancy, "Malachi", so on and so forth-- we should tell these stories to everyone and create a history of the unborn child and the pro-life movement.

Libby Little: The One who warmed her heart

One of my most popular posts was called Dan Terry: A Man of Velvet and Steel. It was written by a soldier in Afghanistan  and sent to my husband. I was so touched by it, I posted it and it had many hits or views. Dan Terry was an AID missionary and was murdered.  The same soldier wrote in an email about another friend and his wife Dr. Tom Little and Libby Little.
"You remember my friends, Dr. Tom Little and Dan Terry, who were murdered recently while trekking on a mobile medical clinic.  Tom's wife, Libby, is such a dear woman.  I remember talking with her on the streets of Kabul 30 years ago, when she told me of a former classmate of mine, who had a child that she couldn't care for and be the mother she wanted to be for.  Libby was so gracious in her words about my former classmate, and Libby and Tom adopted her child.

The following article is a letter to the editor that Libby wrote about "suffering in service" a short time BEFORE Tom was murdered."
Here are some teasers excerpts. Take the time to read the whole article. You will be glad you did.

In today's world of instant access to news, mission agencies may feel compelled to "do something" when danger arises. Although the Bible gives examples of varying responses to danger, the mission agencies' "something," more often than not, may be to encourage or order an evacuation. What might have been a God-appointed time to embrace suffering and those who suffer may be prematurely aborted.
During a brief lull in fighting, a military convoy was organized to take foreign advisers and government sympathizers to a safe place. We were offered a place in the convoy. Our neighbors, however, assured us the worst was over, so the convoy came and left without us. As the fighting worsened, and streets were abandoned, our neighbors fed us fresh bread and sweet milk. Some took turns guarding our gate, motioning angry mobs to "pass by" our home. When the fighting ended, they referred to us as "the people who stayed."
Whenever rocketing began, they filed quickly through the gate and down the basement steps. With each incoming round of rockets, they moaned prayers and cried. In my own fearful state, all I could do was whisper the name of Jesus.
One of those women returned recently and told me that during those basement times, whenever she heard the name of Jesus she felt a warm sensation in her body. Later, when she left for a neighboring country, she sought out Christians who could tell her more about the One who warmed her heart. God blessed those days in the basement.

  • Jennifer at ProWomanProLife links to a gag-inducing article that has the audacity to state, “Women abort potential babies because they would prefer not to be a mother at all, rather than be an inadequate parent. It’s not that they don’t care about the unborn child, it’s because they care so much.” Jennifer also points out the obvious: no one is telling women they have to parent. There’s another “A word” – adoption.
  • Christina at Real Choice gives a shout out to her resident troll who says that there are only 1 per 100k deaths of women due to abortion – so what’s the big deal? She counters that if infant product manufacturer Graco recalled 2 million strollers due to 4 deaths, perhaps women should be told abortion is more than 5x as lethal.

Dignitas: offering companion suicides ...don't want to be alone, die with your ill spouse

Great article points out how the owner of the suicide hotel is making a fortune off others illness and grieving.

There’s a cushy living to be made out of assisted suicide. One man, Ludwig Minelli, is living proof of it: he is alleged to have done well out of his Dignitas clinic, where, for $10,000, someone who is terminally ill can be helped to die by their “loved one”.

The person who packs their bags for Dignitas (no need for a toothbrush: the whole procedure takes only a couple of hours) is likely to belong to the well-educated, articulate elite who are addicted to choice and who view assisted suicide as the ultimate consumer choice. They want to stage-manage their death as they have stage-managed every other aspect of their lives, from childbirth through marriage to divorce.

But the present law does have a big drawback. It prompts a certain elite to fly off to Zurich and line Ludwig Minelli’s pockets. That is a dismal prospect – all the more so now that he proposes to extend his clinic’s death services to the healthy partners accompanying their loved ones on their final journey. Perhaps he’ll make them a “two for the price of one” offer – but I wouldn’t count on it.

  • Generations for Life analyzes an Abortioneer’s description of 1st and 2nd trimester abortions, and the attempt to portray the procedure as “minor.” The so-called “gentle suction” is anything but gentle to the body of an unborn human.
  • Culture Campaign slams a DC middle school for administering a sexual information “pre-test” to 12-year-olds which included questions about sexual orientation, oral sex, vaginal sex, anal sex, condom usage, and bodily fluids. Parental permission slips were sent home on the day the tests were given – after the fact.

  • Catholic Vote informs readers the SBA List is being sued by OH Rep. Steve Driehaus (1 of the “pro-life” Democrat sell-outs on Obamacare) to prevent billboards against his campaign (pictured above left) from being posted in his district. Driehaus claims the President’s EO covers his vote. The lawsuit is moving forward: Why should this concern us in the pro-life movement? Because an elected official has gone to the courts to suppress the free speech of pro-life groups he disagrees with.
His suit… represents an act of desperation by someone who refuses to allow a pro-life group to communicate with the voters of his district. Such actions have a “chilling effect” on other pro-life groups attempting to communicate their message. You can be sure that other groups will be wary of trying to actively engage with voters through public advertising if there is a precedent established here of officials simply suing groups when they don’t like what they are saying….
Then there’s this bombshell: “If the Commission rules that campaign laws were in fact violated, the SBA List could face criminal prosecution, fines, and even jail time.”
  • Dr. Gerard Nadal of Coming Home has a column in Headline Bistro discussing the 2010 Nobel Prize awarded to Dr. Robert Edwards for the development of IVF. Dr. Nadal notes the Nobel committee is known for “attempting to drive political agendas through their awards. Given IVF’s derivative technologies, the award for Edwards can easily be construed to be not only for helping infertile couples have a biological child of their own, but also for the invention of the technology that is at the root of embryonic stem cell research.”

Why we should demand all elected officials be pro life

Live Action has a great post on this subject
Adding to this I want to point out that when someone starts out in politics they often start at the lower levels that you do think has nothing to do with abortion or pro life issues. But this first step allows them to develop name recognition, database of supporters, war chest etc. Then they use this as a platform to go on to bigger and better things....

It is the state attorney general that investigates and disciplines when state laws are being broken at the corporate level. For example, after Live Action produced the video revealing that Planned Parenthood in Birmingham was covering up statutory rape, it was the attorney general of Alabama that put the clinic under probation and began a more thorough investigation of the clinic’s defiance of state law. Are the candidates for attorney general in your state going to hold abortion clinics accountable for similar violations?
The state controller manages public funds and serves as the state’s accountant and bookkeeper and should be making sure that state funds distributed through them are properly accounted for. Planned Parenthood receives a very large amount of funding from many state programs, and they JUST published their 2008 annual report. It’s almost the end of 2010. Does your state controller know what happened to that money? And if in fact those funds have been grossly abused, what are they doing about it?

Cal Thomas: Evolutionists are deaf to the uniqueness of human life

Tennessean had a great column from Cal Thomas but relegated it to the online version only......figures... it does not fit in with their liberal group think.

In retrospect, great horrors are usually seen as springing up full-formed. Many people didn’t notice the small steps that led to the Nazi Holocaust or to the selling of African slaves in the public square. Senses must first be dulled; religion trivialized; and self enthroned before tolerance for the horrific is accepted.

American novelist Walker Percy saw clearly where the tinkering with human life leads. In The Thanatos Syndrome, Percy wrote, “You are a member of the first generation of doctors in the history of medicine to turn their backs on the oath of Hippocrates and kill millions of old, useless people, unborn children, born malformed children, for the good of mankind — and to do so without a single murmur from one of you.

Nora Ephron: You can't be a feminist unless you believe in abortion

Slate magazine asked some "prominent women to write a 500 word essay on What is feminism? I guess she never heard of Feminists for Life. Want to invite her to attend?

I know that I'm supposed to write 500 words on this subject, but it seems much simpler: You can't call yourself a feminist if you don't believe in the right to abortion.—Nora Ephron author and director

Picture from Slate

Greenville Sun....good question to McWherter but where was the follow up for the non answer??

Mr. Interviewer....did you notice that he did not answer the question? Tom Yancey of the Greenville Sun conducted a standard  interview with candidate Mike McWherter (D) running for governor for TN. Note the question was about whether or not McWherter would support SJR 127, a proposed constitutional amendment that would allow our elected legislators to enact  regulations around legalized abortion? Good question. But candidate McWherter choose to ignore it and give his stock answer to abortion that did not in any way address whether he would support SJR 127. No follow up from the interviewer...just allowed McWherter to give a non response. So Mr. Yancey gets an A for a good question  ( some print reporters don't  even understand the issue) and a D for allowing the candidate to get away with not answering.
Oh well, the election is almost over and he has no chance of winning, but I wanted to make this point anyway.

What is your position concerning abortion? As a result of court rulings in Tennessee in recent years, the Tennessee Constitution is currently interpreted as invalidating almost all limitations on abortion. Would you support an amendment to the state constitution that would make the state constitution neutral on the subject of abortion, leaving it to the legislature and federal law to decide what Tennessee's abortion laws would be?
"I am personally against abortion. My faith leads me that way. I would never commit state tax dollars to support abortions. But, I believe in the end this has to be a choice of the woman, her doctor, her family and hopefully her clergy."

Susan Boyle: My mum refused to abort me against dr.pressure

Singing sensation Susan Boyle reveals that her mother was strongly advised by the dr. to have an abortion. Her mother was 45 and a mother of 8 rejected the advice due to her strong Catholic beliefs.  The dr. advised her mother that they should not expect too much of the tiny baby as she would never amount to much. Wrong again. I wonder how many Susan Boyles have not been born...congrats to the mother for standing up to the dr.

  • Pro-Life Action League reports a humorous anecdote from an Albany abortion mill, where a handful of pro-aborts showed up to “defend” the mill from a 40 Days for Life prayer vigil. One pro-abort called police, mistakenly believing pro-lifers were to say 1,000 ft (the length of 3 football fields) away from the clinic doors.
  •  From  Secular Pro-Life, actor Michael Caine admits to a long-held secret: he requested his father, who was suffering with cancer, be euthanized. The doctor originally declined, but later obliged. SPL states they do not have an official position on assisted suicide.
  • Vital Signs posts the author’s own opinion piece on fetal pain, which was published in the Omaha World-Herald.  Congrats for getting this published as we need to educate those who have not considered this issue seriously.
  • Wesley J. Smith discusses the “vague legislative language” in Obamacare and how it places the elderly and disabled at a clear disadvantage when it comes to who decides quality of life issues.
  • Pro-Life Wisconsin draws attention to the latest hypocritical stunt by Planned Parenthood: dinner placemats to encourage parent/child dinner conversations. PLW aptly notes:
PP’s effort to increase communication between parents and children is ironic at best. PP’s desire for parental communication ends at the doorstep of its abortion facilities. Planned Parenthood has consistently made headlines for covering up purported statutory rape, opposing parental notification laws and pushing birth control to teens and preteens.

NYC to PRC's...I don't care what you do, disclose what you don't do!

Soapbox Five posts a good point about the NYC attacks on pregnancy resource centers being forced to disclose services not provided.... they make a great point.
More on the assault against pregnancy resource centers comes from NYC, abortion capital USA. Two female NYC City Council members are trying to force pro-life pregnancy centers to post signage stating what services they do NOT provide. Try this with any other business or social service, and you'd probably be viewed as some sort of nut. (Sorry, we do not serve sushi at this Mexican restaurant. Sorry, we do not sell Nikes in this Adidas store.)
Over at Secular Pro Life they got into the humor by poking fun of the absurdity of this with  this photo shopped sign posted online by a reader.

“I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” These words are priceless to the human race as spoken by David, a man after God’s own heart who was lead by the Holy Spirit to write this in Psalm 139:14. In today’s world there is so much hopelessness. It seems that everywhere lives are being destroyed by poverty, unemployment, abortion, and murder. It is no wonder suicide and abortions are on the rise. People are giving up instead of trying to persevere through the hard times.

Imagine trying to make it through life with no arms and legs. Imagine an unborn child in this state. Most people would choose an abortion over a hard life for their unborn baby.

Nick Vujicic is a man these people need to meet before they totally give up on life. Vujicic exemplifies hope when there is none. A native Australian, he travels the world as a motivational speaker. His message is simple: Hope through the love of God. Vujicic accomplishes this by using himself as an example. His body consists of only his head and torso with a deformed foot with two toes. When people see his physical limitations, they are moved by this cheerful young man.  He offers a purpose for living a full life, no matter what circumstances or limitations it does not take long for people to see God’s love shining through Vujicic.  The obstacles in their lives are no comparison to his.

Vujicic makes it crystal clear that with faith in God, we all have a purpose and a value. Lives are valuable and too precious for humans to decide if life is worth living. Since God is the creator and we are his creation, man does not have the right to dictate who has the right to life. In Psalm 127:5 it says “Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.” “Them” as in children, God calls children a blessing. We don’t always think of children as a blessing. We think of them as cute, noisy and trusting, trusting us to make the right decision. That’s why I think that God calls children a blessing because they lean on us just like the way we are suppose to lean on God because they are fearfully and wonderfully made.
