ProWomanProLife says a new study has found that the US and Canada are on the list of the top countries with the fewest protections for preborn life. The other countries on the list are China, the Netherlands, North Korea, Singapore and Vietnam.

At New Wave Feminists, Holly Fairchild has some strong words for Texas gubernatorial candidate and late-term abortion cheerleader Wendy Davis:
Instead of assuming that women are weak and incapable (therefore needing abortion), use your own life as an example and show women how much is possible. Remind them that you don’t regret choosing life and they won’t either. Encourage adoption as a loving alternative for those who don’t believe they can raise a child.

Reflections of a Paralytic points out the serious inconsistency in the views of those who fight against genetically modified food but don’t bat an eye at the idea of genetically engineered children.

PP videos outreach to teens promotes bondage and sadomasochism techniques...wise use of our tax $$ ???

Aren't we proud that Planned Parenthood  who receives our hard earned tax money is putting it to such good use. They surely have our teens best interest at heart....

Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE)--which received more than $2.75 million in government funding in 2012--has produced and posted online a video specifically aimed at teenagers that promotes bondage and sadomasochism (BDSM) and proposes "rules" to follow when engaging in these activities.

Big Blue Wave describes how use of the NuvaRing contraceptive seriously impaired the health of US Olympic hopeful Megan Henry (pictured above ), a skeleton skater, who spent ten days in the hospital suffering from life-threatening blood clots (pulmonary embolism). This sidelined her training and dashed her hopes of qualifying for the Olympics.

Clinic Quotes says a descendant of Margaret Sanger is continuing her legacy for “reproductive freedom”:
Alexander Sanger, abortion advocate and descendent of Planned Parenthood founder and controversial figure Margaret Sanger, said the following:

“Reproductive freedom is vital to humanity. It is even more vital than all the other freedoms that we cherish – freedom of religion, freedom of thought and speech, and the freedom to live our lives as we see fit. Humanity has these freedoms, or should have them, because they add to human happiness and make for a better world. So does reproductive freedom.”

Really? Even more important than freedom of thought is the freedom to kill one’s children before birth? Remind me again… which side is extreme?

At The Leading Edge, Brendan Malone is stunned that some Christian commentaries are chastising those who point out that the depression and subsequent suicide of Charlotte Dawson has roots (by her own admission) in her abortion.

At New Wave Feminists, our latest blog addition, Destiny says that her son, for whom she chose life when she experienced an unplanned pregnancy as a teen, was “the best thing that ever happened” to her. Rather than ruining her life, he made her strong: Had I aborted him it would’ve been out of nothing but fear and panic. I would be living in bondage and regret to this day. Through bringing him into this world though I became a feminist, an activist, an advocate for women whose shoes I’ve traveled in. And because of that unplanned pregnancy I found out I was stronger than I ever knew I was. In my opinion, that’s what true feminism is all about.

At thirtyone8, guest blogger Lydia Mead notes why Christians in particular should not wait to feel “called” to do something about abortion:
The other day… I was asked what I’d been doing before our child arrived. There was a hushed silence and the conversation moved quickly on to other topics when I explained how I’d worked in a crisis pregnancy center, receiving calls from abortion seeking women and girls. When you mention the A-word among your good Christian friends or church folk, you've overstepped: there isn't any place for a verbal exchange on the brutal reality of abortion among polite, Christian people. The gut feeling you get from your church is – if you’re going to go out and do something awkward and uncomfortable, then it should be evangelism. We’ll pray for you to go and do that in India or an African country; we’ll even send you some money now and then. But abortion’s too horrible to entertain as a thought, let alone to discuss or do anything about….
So, yeah, it’s hard. It’s not a fun topic. It’s not much fun being out in the cold, praying about abortion. To you pre-born advocates out there – keep working and fighting, and remember that God will give you more love and courage as you persevere.
And to everyone else: don’t wait until you feel ‘called to the ministry’ of fighting for the pre-born, or to ‘feel in your heart’ that you care about abortion. That day won’t come if you’re waiting for it. Get out there and get involved – the passion will come to you on the job.
Priests for Life’s Fr. Frank Pavone asks pro-lifers to sign a letter addressing the “troubling contraditions” in comments made by President Obama at this year’s National Prayer Breakfast. He intends to personally deliver the letter to the White House: Among the troubling aspects of the speech, Fr. Pavone points out that the President, while upholding consistently a policy of abortion on demand, states, “the killing of the innocent is the ultimate betrayal of God’s will.”
And, while trying to force Americans to violate their faith through the HHS mandate, the President states in his speech, “Central to [human] dignity is freedom of religion — the right of every person to practice their faith how they choose.”

ProWomanProLife notices that even doctors are beginning to come out in opposition of using ultrasound to determine the sex of preborn children, due to gendercide:
In a new joint policy statement, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada and the Canadian Association of Radiologists also say it could be considered unethical for private, commercial clinics to offer “entertainment” ultrasounds purely for the purpose of creating “keepsake” videos for expectant parents. The position statement comes amid mounting concerns that in Canada, people are using ultrasound to determine the sex of a fetus early in pregnancy and to have it aborted if it is a girl.

The Leading Edge points out how “[t]he circle of death is now almost complete in Belgium” beginning with the legalization of unfettered abortion and ending with the legalization of euthanasia for children – and New Zealand could be next.

Wesley J. Smith says a federal judge has blocked the use of a certain drug for lethal injection in one state, yet this is the same drug used in Oregon for assisted suicide. It makes one wonder how groups like the ACLU keep things straight. After all, they support abortion and assisted suicide but oppose capital punishment by lethal injection.

Stand for Life recommends The Discovery Institute’s documentary, The War on Humans, which “discusses the tremendous push for animal and plant legal rights while diminishing human exceptionalism”:

TN: Retiring Rep Chas. Curtiss (D) continues pro life support...

Charles Curtiss (D) Sparta represented House District  43 which included Grundy, Warren and White Counties for 19 years and chaired important committees during his tenure.  He has recently announced he will not run for reelection.

Known as a religious conservative man with strong pro life convictions, he strongly supported  and helped lead the  effort to pass SJR 127 through all the committees and floor votes necessary  to the goal of being  on the ballot in 2014 allowing Tennessee citizens to vote on this important pro life issue.. His principled and courageous  stand throughout the 11 year struggle never wavered or buckled under pressure.

He stopped by the offices of Tennessee Right to Life today  to give a $10,000 donation  to help win  Yes on Amendment One in November. Thank you Representative Curtiss for your generosity and leadership example. We wish you the best as you transition out of public service. You will be missed.

Americans United for Life applauds a coalition of black pastors and leaders in Illinois who are urging the passage of laws to protect women from the same negligent treatment that resulted in the death of Tonya Reaves at a Chicago Planned Parenthood. Reaves died as a result of a botched abortion. Reaves’ family filed a wrongful death suit and PP paid $2M. The coalition is seeking passage of two bills that would require informed consent before an abortion and would also require abortion facilities to have the same standards as ambulatory surgical centers.

Live Action News draws attention to the Life Film Fest, “which takes place in Hollywood [and] is dedicated
to providing an outlet for aspiring pro-life artists to showcase their films and foster their craft.” Pro-life cinema is becoming more popular, as evidenced by the success of movies like Bella and October Baby.

Down on the Pharm notices that Walgreens Pharmacy has seen fit to fire a Tennessee pharmacist for refusing to sell Plan B for religious reasons, despite “[having] to settle lawsuits in Illinois for similar firings.” Is “leave your religious beliefs at the door” their employment mantra? Now that the drug is available over the counter, it should be easier for a pharmacist to opt out of making the sale.

Bound4Life says a Houston abortion facility has had its license yanked for violating the Texas law requiring abortionists to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of the abortion facility. 268 illegal abortions were found to have been performed there at the time of the inspection. In reference to this situation, Operation Rescue’s Troy Newman remarked, “If that abortion clinic’s abortionists are so bad that no hospital will have them, then the clinic is just too dangerous to operate.”

Clinic Quotes shows the mentality that results when disabled babies are frequently allowed to die in pediatric hospitals: She [the woman who counseled the parents] reported that the parents had decided not only that they did not want to repair the child’s oomphalecele, but they wanted the child to die, and they were willing to do what they could to hurry that event along. The parents had left orders that the child not be fed. She reported that Berger was very upset with this turn of events…. Berger claimed that it was one thing for the physicians and the parents to handle this, and quite another for the nurses who had to deal with the infant every day and would be the ones to watch it starve….
Bill [a doctor] reported that the mother was discouraged because today the baby looks good. She was hoping that it would die soon, so seeing it looked healthy really discouraged her.

The Leading Edge posts an insightful article in which a citizen of Belgium claims the reason why child
euthanasia was legalized is related to why even late-term abortion was legalized:
At the risk of over-simplifying for the sake of writing something that tries to make one clear point, I would like to suggest that a major cause of Belgium’s liberal abortion and euthanasia laws is an inability to deal with suffering.

At Coming Home, Dr. Gerard Nadal responds to the recent passage of “civilizational suicide” – child euthanasia in Belgium. He recalls how the tender care of a terminally ill child was handled in America by his then fiancée, now wife, Regina, who was a night nurse for a child with leukemia. Her patient’s pain was managed and he received loving care from his parents and medical personnel until the moment of his death:
Children such as Daniel simply do not think about suicide. They are hard-wired for hope in the future. In Regina’s quarter of a century as a pediatric nurse, never once has she come across a terminally ill child who ever wanted to end it all, who ever thought in those categories. That is a category introduced by the adults in their lives. The permanence of death simply escapes children.

Tennessean confirms TN as out of state abortion mecca

A well written article in the Tennessean show three important points.....TN is the abortion destination in the southeast...in fact fourth in the nation for out of state abortions, most abortions are done on women of color, and most Tennesseans consider themselves pro life.
Over the same time period, the percentage of women coming from outside Tennessee for abortions increased by more than 30 percent. One in four abortions in 2010 was sought by an out-of-state woman — a result of bordering states passing abortion restrictions and a steep decline in abortion clinics in those states.
While non-white Tennesseans constitute just 17 percent of all state residents, non-white women were more likely to obtain abortions than white women. Non-white women obtained 6,294 abortions in 2012 versus 5,376 sought by white women.
A recent poll by Middle Tennessee State University found that 51 percent of Tennesseans think abortion should be “legal only under certain circumstances.” Another 12 percent think it should be “legal under any circumstances,” and 32 percent think it should be “illegal in all circumstances.”

Progressives conundrum: civil rights expansion but not for the preborn

An interesting article appears in the Boston Globe talking about conflicting rights in a pregnant woman. Written by a progressive who is concerned about the states moving into the protection of the preborn...she states in the article that she will use the term fetus to describe all stages of pregnancy. She wants to be sure not to use the term baby. The article brings out the problem for progressives.
“It has become this conundrum, this intersection of human rights,” said Milligan. If progressives have been slow to move on an issue that has already animated the right, he also points out there’s a reason: It is progressives who have historically pushed to expand civil rights, yet who now find themselves concerned about the expansion of rights to fetuses. “It’s incumbent on modern progressives to focus on the intersections of those rights, and figure out how best to mediate those conflicting rights.”
As medical technology continues to give us a window into the womb and show off the humanity of the preborn, this brings continuing problems to those who hold true to the idea that the woman has dominion over the life in the womb and her cause/wishes/lifestyle is paramount.
"In some sense, the legal issue is driven by a deeper question that America has simply not resolved: what a fetus is, and when it acquires a special moral status."
This is the core question those who support abortion must grapple with....what is the preborn ? They all realize that abortion kills....that is the purpose of the procedure...to take that which is alive and growing and kill it. What is it that we just killed? And have we just allowed the pro lifers to be the champions of civil rights?

Wesley J. Smith reports on Belgium’s legalization of child euthanasia. Part of the reason it was legalized was because “doctors were already doing it even though it was against the law. This is typical euthanasia metastasizing: Doctors break the guidelines and then the answer is to expand the guidelines rather than punish the doctors.” Should we really then expect any safeguards or restrictions to be obeyed?

ProLife NZ discusses arguments against abortion from four corners: medical, philosophical, biblical, and legal. A must read.

Update: University of AL has had second thoughts on this. They have apologized  and will reinstate the previously banned poster.
At National Review, Alec Torres describes the less-than-free speech granted to a Students for Life group at the University of Alabama: Bama Students for Life had reserved the display case from January 8 to February 7, but when students walked by on February 6 they found the case empty. They were not informed that the display would be taken down, nor do they know when it vanished.
“You guys were lucky to get it up there as long as you did,” an administrator told President of Bama Students for Life Claire Chretien when she inquired about the missing poster. “If we get a complaint we have to take it down. If it upsets somebody we have to take it down.”
Alliance Defending Freedom is assisting in the group’s appeal. Their display is pictured at left (click to enlarge).

Pro-Life in TN reports that a judge reduced the fines on an Illinois abortion facility from $36K down to only $77 because the owner claimed she was closing the facility, and that $77 was all she had left in her bank account – except for the fact that she was lying. The IL Department of Health found a lengthy list of infractions in the first inspection it conducted in 15 years, including delaying CPR on a patient that subsequently died. The owner reopened under a slight name change using the same website, address, etc. In Illinois, clearly abortion is legal, but not safe for women.

Stand True advertises pro-life internships and ministry opportunities for students.

Secular Pro-Life notes that NARAL is apoplectic over President Obama’s nomination of Judge Michael Boggs, a pro-life Democrat, to the federal bench. Ilyse Hogue of NARAL has even gone so far as to say that because of his pro-life views, Boggs is “anti-American”:
According to NARAL, when Boggs was a Georgia state legislator more than a decade ago, he “tried to channel funds to anti-choice crisis pregnancy centers and make a parental consent law even more extreme.” In oldspeak, that means that Boggs 1) supported the creation of a Choose Life license plate, which facilitates pro-life people donating their own money to pro-life causes, and 2) supported a requirement that minor girls be accompanied to the abortion facility by a parent. It’s worth noting that this parent-must-accompany rule is designed to combat sexual abuse. So the pro-choice lobby is twisting the facts, which is hardly news.

Suzy B shares SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser’s comments on perinatal hospice made last fall. Families like that of Zion Isaiah Blick, who lived for ten days following birth, deserve support from perinatal hospice groups: Where a lethal fetal anomaly does exist, patients and their families can and should be offered the compassionate, ethical option of perinatal hospice to support them. Studies have shown that carrying a fatally ill child to term rather than performing a late abortion does not result in increased maternal mortality. On the other hand, it brings comfort to parents who can indeed parent their child as long as time permits. Perinatal hospice also allows families to mourn, the same way in which we would allow families with an adult member for whom treatment has become futile. There are now at least 127 perinatal hospices in the United States.

TN pharmacist files claim stating he was fired for refusing to sell Plan B due to religious beliefs...

Pharmacist Claims He Was Fired For Refusing To Sell Plan B

Here's the part I love....when the shipment of Plan B came in, he bought them all with his own money and then dumped them. He was a long time employee of Walgreen's and the store had previously honored his stated religious beliefs from selling Plan B when it was available only by prescription. When it became available over the counter, Walgreen's asked him how he would treat a request for Plan B. He stated that he was fired on the spot when he said he would refuse and refer to another employee to handle the sale. He is filing a lawsuit.

Here's the part that does not make sense to me....since Plan B is now sold over the counter, since when does the pharmacist check you out. He/she is typically behind the counter filling prescriptions and someone else checks you out.

New Orleans Archbishop: We will not cooperate with the evil of abortion and shun those who do....

Hooray for  Archbishop Aymond. He is not afraid to say we will not cooperate with evil and  we will shun those who do. May his tribe increase. He will do what he can to fight against the mega abortion mill to be constructed in New Orleans. They estimate they will do 30 abortions per day.

"We cannot be silent in view of the grave injustice presented by the abortions that will be performed at the Planned Parenthood facility," said the archbishop. "The archdiocese is obliged to remind every person and organization involved in the acquisition, preparation, and construction of this or any abortion facility that they are cooperating with the evil that will take place there." "For this reason, the archdiocese, including the churches, schools, apartments for the elderly and nursing homes, will strive in its privately funded work not to enter into business relationships with any person or organization that participates in actions that are essential to making this abortion facility a reality," said Archbishop Aymond.

IL judge discounts fines to abortion facility because they were closing except they didn't....

Thomas More Society reports that Judge Alexander White reduced the fine of the Women's Aid Clinic in Chicago from $36K to a mere $77 to satisfy the fines for Illinois Department of Public Health’s for the many unsanitary conditions found in their first inspection in 15 years.

" Some of these violations included storing frozen tv dinners in the same biohazard refrigerator as eight containers of fetal tissue. All five recovery rooms contained rust and nearly twenty medication cups with Motrin and Tylenol also had crumbs in them. A technician was observed by inspectors as “retrieving a paper towel from a garbage receptacle and using the same paper towel to cover a tray that would serve food items to patients.” The IDPH inspection report also cited the women’s clinic for failing to perform CPR on a girl who died following an abortion."

Now why reduce this fine? Well the owner said the clinic was shut down and that was all the money left. Except that they did not close....
" However, the memo details evidence that Rozansky closed Women’s Aid Clinic only to promptly open Women’s Aid Center in its place—at the same address, with the same phone number, and using the same website."

A copy of the memorandum can be viewed here. So what about it judge? And let's hear that safe and legal refrain again??? Anyone??

Live News: Gosnell accomplice is sentenced to 6-12 years

Live Action News has story of arrest  and sentencing of Gosnell sidekick ii grisly abortion mill in PA. He got 6-12 years. The prosecutors argued for a lengthier sentence because although he quit, he did nothing to report the conditions to the authority. I still blame pro abortion Governor Tom Ridge who stopped clinic inspections.  He got the lighter sentence due to cooperating with authorities....
Massof, along with eight other employees, was charged in 2011 for his work with Gosnell andpleaded guilty to murder late that same year. Although he faced first-degree murder charges, he opted to plead guilty to third-degree murder in exchange for his testimony.
And that testimony contained horrific accounts of babies born alive only to be killed by having their necks snipped with surgical scissors.
This is what happens when politicians aid and abet the abortion industry by not enforcing the laws on the books. Now tell me again, PP and NARAL how you are so concerned about the safety and health of women. You knew and did not report...you continued to refer to Gosnell's House of Horrors.

Brussels....passing legislation to extend euthanasia to children

Brussels is expected to pass legislation extending euthanasia to children.... Brussels, Luxembourg and the Netherlands all have legalized euthanasia. No surprise that once the door is opened they want to extend it to children. The vocal opposition dispels the myth of compassion but they are not expected to prevail. It is cloaked in compassion but cost of providing care in socialized medicine is the elephant in the room.

This week, an "open letter" carrying the names of 160 Belgian pediatricians was issued to argue against the new law, claiming there is no urgent need for it and that modern medicine is capable of soothing the pain of even the sickest children.
The doctors also said there was no objective way of providing that children possess the "discernment" to know what euthanasia means.

Michael J. New believes other reasons may be behind the U.S.’s declining abortion rate:
Interestingly, none of these analysts [who claim increased contraception is the reason behind the decline] is willing to consider that shifts in public opinion on abortion may be playing a role. May of 2009 was the first time that a majority of Americans identified themselves as “pro-life” in a Gallup survey. “Pro-life” has outpolled “pro-choice” six out of nine times since the spring of 2009….

Since the abortion rate is falling while the unintended-pregnancy rate is stable, a higher percentage of women facing unintended pregnancies are choosing to carry their children to term. Data from the Department of Health and Human Services support this, pro-lifers should take heart in it.

Abstinence Clearinghouse notes that Memphis Planned Parenthood likes to place edgy billboards in places that shock people, like the one pictured, which is near a crosswalk for an elementary school:
Children reading these signs are being indoctrinated with a message that cannot protect them from pregnancy or STDs. The irony is Planned Parenthood promotes sexual adventures without discrimination and without promoting sex being reserved for marriage, while their purpose for creating the signs is to “prevent HIV and STD’s.”

Let’s not forget that our these condoms come from our tax dollars sent to them from Washington.
After Abortion lauds the work of Allan Parker, who founded The Center Against Forced Abortions as part of his work at the Texas Justice Foundation. If you or anyone you know is being coerced into an abortion, call (210) 614-7157 or email info@txjf.org.

Americans United for Life is proud of the Oklahoma House Committee on Public Health’s “approv[al of] a perinatal hospice bill (OK HB 2685) to provide any woman seeking an abortion for an unborn child diagnosed with a fatal condition to be informed about perinatal hospice. It is partially based on Americans United for Life model legislation.” AUL notes, “Should Oklahoma enact this legislation, it will join Arizona, Kansas, and Minnesota as states that offer parents a compassionate response to a horrifying diagnosis.”

Edith chooses Life: Downton Abbey, acknowledges that her pregnancy is indeed a child.

I must admit I love watching Downton Abbey.

Last night,  Edith chose life for her pre born child in the midst of much trial and hardship. She knew she would be an outcast, shunned, and worse yet the father of the baby is missing in Germany. She has the money to get an abortion but when she hears the sobs of the patient before her she backs out.

Her agony over the decision is clear when she says  that she knows she would be killing  the wanted child of the man she loves . The supportive aunt helps her take a bold stand for life. We will keep tuned to see  what happens to her,  but it is good to see popular dramas showing strong characters taking a stand for life and acknowledging that the pre born are children.

I am rooting for Edith....

Memphis Planned Parenthood loves being edgy: advertising free condoms near elementary school.....future customers

Sure cause we want to start indoctrinating elementary school students young to fool around. No consequences sex is what Planned Parenthood is saying...cause if you get pregnant we can give you an abortion and that is where the real money is. So free condoms....no problem. Your parents tax money is paying for us to give away this freebie. Next round is for the govt. to pay for your abortions. What a business model. Planned Parenthood.....no shame!

At Priests for Life, Janet Morana discusses the decision of CVS to stop selling tobacco products in their stores because they want to “help people on their path to better health.” Morana sees another opportunity for them to make a positive impact on health: If CVS is serious about wanting to protect the health of its customers, I hope they took a good hard look at the women and girls whose health and fertility are jeopardized by continued sales of contraceptives and abortifacients.

Reflections of a Paralytic features a radio segment in which he is interviewed about how biotechnology is commodifying women.

Pro-Life Action League points out that while overall abortion numbers may be declining, that isn’t the case at Planned Parenthood, where numbers are increasing. According to PLAL, PP’s reports show that “Planned Parenthood performs about 40% of all abortions in the US and abortion income makes up over 50% of their clinic income every year.”

Pro-Life in TN wonders who came up with such an audacious headline over at Politics USA, which reads, “Obama’s Culture of Life: The Abortion Rate Has Fallen 13% Under This President”. PL in TN remarks:
No mention of the pro-life movement and the number of pro-life laws passed at the state level across the country. Nah… it is all about Obama… the president who voted in IL state senate against the ban of killing infants who survived abortions.

Outrageous headline says Obama is responsible for drop in abortions...Obama's culture of life....indeed!!

Amazing.....chutzpah abounds!!! Can you believe this headline!!!!!

Obama’s Culture of Life: The Abortion Rate Has Fallen 13% Under This President..

The most pro abortion president..... the article goes on to say that abortion peaked under Reagan....stalled under Bush and dropped under Obama.
There are all kinds of articles out about the drop in abortion numbers and amazingly the abortion industry is taking credit for it. The MSM is aiding and abetting this nonsense. No mention of the pro life movement and the number of pro life laws passed at the state level across the country. Nah....it is all about Obama...the president who voted in IL state senate against the ban of killing infants who survived abortions.

Before we get too excited over the numbers, let's remember that reporting of chemical and surgical abortions is voluntary and CA, that allows non physicians to do abortions,  declines to participate.

Americans United for Life notes that the Guttmacher Institute’s latest report shows a decline in abortion numbers, along with a record number of pro-life laws enacted. And yet, Guttmacher claims the laws had no impact on abortion. AUL also notes that the reporting of surgical and chemical abortions is still voluntary, by state, and California chooses not to participate at all.

Ethika Politika reports on the involvement of their “sister project”, Reproductive Research Audit (spearheaded by Dr. Jacqueline Harvey) in the court cases pending against the HHS Mandate: Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby… on questions of the “contraceptive mandate.” You can read the full brief here, or a summary here.Live Action picks up on abortion regret portrayed in the popular TV show, Parenthood. In
episode 11, entitled “Promises”, the character Amy has an abortion her senior year of high school even though her boyfriend Drew says he will stand by her. Her only counseling comes from Planned Parenthood and she aborts. Following the abortion, they go their separate ways. Life Training Institute applauds the latest news on the stem cell research front: … Japanese researcher Dr. Haruko Obokata has successfully “shocked” blood cells with a mild acid bath into acting like stem cells. These new cells are called stimulus-triggered acquisition of pluripotency (STAP) cells. Obokata’s research was successful using mouse blood cells, and is now taking place to see if human blood acts the same way. This procedure does not take the lives of any embryonic human beings.

Does questioner at Super Bowl interview need to worry about what is next for her ???

Does Kathy LeMaster have to go into the witness protection program? Is she safe in CA?  Time to clear out her computer history  and texts... she certainly should make certain her receipts are in order...get ready for that  audit.

I listened to OReilly interview the president prior to the Super Bowl. He saved one question toward the end from a viewer.....Kathy Lemaster from Fresno, CA

A local station interviewed her and here are some highlights...

"The question was heartfelt, and I would lay in bed at night thinking if I could ask the President... why are you trying to change what worked for you?" She says.Lemaster is retired from the Fresno County District Attorney's Office, after working there for more than 30 years. She now spends her days at home with family, and teaches Sunday School."I no longer recognize the country I grew up in, and that's why I wanted to ask why he was doing that," says Lemaster, who was critical of, what she calls, President Obama's liberal policies. She says those policies, don't represent her values."The country was founded on our Lord and Savior, and as we depart further and further and we're kicking him out more and more, our country is going further downhill."We're all depending on him not to trash this place. But I feel like it's being vandalized," she says.

So what do you think? Dear Kathy....get those files in order but bless you dear......

Concerned TN citizens spend Saturday learning how to educate on important pro life legislation

Concerned residents gathered Saturday morning, February 1, to learn about grassroots efforts to promote passage of pro-life Amendment 1 during the General Election this November. More than 30  advocates from Sumner, Robertson, Wilson, Smith and Macon counties gave up their Saturday  schedules to hear  from speakers including state legislators Mark Pody and Mae Beavers.  Beavers served as prime Senate sponsor of the proposed amendment during its final passage by the Tennessee Legislature in 2011.

Having met the required series of legislative votes to be placed on the ballot in 2014, Tennessee voters will now have the opportunity to approve language which would restore the ability of the people to decide what restrictions---if any---ought to be placed on the practice of abortion in Tennessee.  The amendment was brought in response to the 2000 ruling by the Tennessee Supreme Court which claimed a broader, more fundamental right to abortion than even the federal right established under Roe v WadeAs a result, Tennessee lawmakers are largely prevented from deciding state abortion legislation and existing protective policies have been struck down as violating the state Constitution.

The War Against Children

Excellent column by Susan Stamper Brown....what war on women....we are waging a war on our own children. Well said Susan. Thanks Jackson TN Sun for printing it.

Brown column: The war against children

Mountains are neither fair nor unfair to those of us who scale them. Those who resolve to make it to the top, do so step-by-step, with no favors from the mountain. I thought about this today while on an 8-mile mostly uphill cleat-clad run. With Alaskan temperatures pleasingly mild for this time of year, I had to get outside to clear my head after a week filled with toxic politics and disappointing news about our president whose choice of words goes from bad to worse.

I thought about the slow but steady uphill journey pro-life Americans have traveled since the passage of Roe v. Wade. I also remembered the incredible sacrifice of an estimated 500,000 people on a frigid and snowy day last week in Washington D.C., who suffered the cold to remember the least among us, those lives snuffed out before their time.

From the Vatican, Pope Francis sent out a tweet in solidarity: “I join the March for Life in Washington with my prayers. May God help us respect all life, especially the most vulnerable.” The same day, President Obama offered his take on things, by way of an official statement, extolling Roe v. Wade, as if the estimated 57 million unborn children who have been denied their fundamental right to life is something decent people should celebrate. May God help us indeed.
